Rated 4 out of 5 by Room readiness When we checked in our bathroom had a used towel on the sink and an open used bar of soap on the counter. we called to see if the room was ready and my wife was on hold for a ridiculous amount of time August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent overall Your staff was wonderful!. Everyone was most helpful, accommodating and pleasant. The room was great..the bed was super comfy and I loved the location on the river. Great overall experience. August 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great space for business travel My only negative, would be that you can hear others in the rooms very easily. A woman kept coughing severely (I hope she's ok) and we could hear her all night. Otherwise lovely hotel. August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hotel in great location The hotel was in a great spot to access shopping, restaurants, parks and Navy Pier, Chicago River. The views from hotel rooms were fabulous! August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Features Great features and access to many local options. August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by HAS GREAT FEATURES NICE STAY, COMFORTABLE ENJOYED MY STAY August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location - Great Staff - Nice Rooms I have stayed at this location on a number of locations and am always pleased with the front desk, concierge, club lounge and valet staff. They have upgraded me to ridiculously large suites with giantic lving room/meeting rooms almost every time I have been here. I have always been able to check in early. I often call for early housekeeping when I leave for an early meeting and at most hotels this does not work, but the Sheraton Chicago always complies with my request. The man that works in the Club Lounge (I wish I could remember his name - I think he said he was employee of the year last year) is SOOOO friendly and helpful. I mentioned to him that I would likely miss his nice dessert spread because I had a late meeting and he saved me three different desserts and brought them to me when I popped into the lounge an hour after dessert time ended. The location is great and the views of the lake are amazing. Definitely a Tumbs up. This is 100% a BUSINESS hotel. Not a trendy cool hotel with lots to do for families, but perfect for business travelers. Great rates are often available at the last minute. December 21, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel is very comfortable!! Love the beds and the view from our room!! August 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has great features Our stay in April 2014 was amazing. We booked the club room for 2 nights and we left fully satisfied. The "club" room is an excellent idea for families with kids (ours 20, 18). I will use it again next year. August 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great base in the city! I loved the Sheraton Hotel & Tower's central location and easy access to many restaurants and attractions. The staff made and convenience of the facility made it easy to focus on our trip. August 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I enjoyed my stay I stayed for 9 nights at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and really enjoyed my time. The staff were friendly and the hotel facilities were outstanding. August 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has a great location Great location, staff, accommodations. Best Sheraton that I have stayed in. Loved being on the Chicago Riverwalk. The staff was very accommodating and the room very comfortable. Loved the Club Level. July 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice facilities The Sheraton has a large number of food choices right in the hotel and sits on the river. The hotel is within walking distance to many local sights, tours, shopping, restaurants, etc. I would definitely stay again. We stayed on the Club level floor with access to the Club lounge which has good service for continental breakfast and evening snacks. There is a nice view of the river looking out to Trump tower. My only disappointment was my room. I was right next to the stairs, so my room was a weird shape with a long hallway and seemed more cramped. It did have a wonderful view of the lake and Navy Pier. Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has great views! I wasnn't impressed by the line of 15 people to check in with only 2 people at the front desk, but after that everything was great, the doormen are amazing at getting you to your destination and helping you on the way back in! August 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great location and accommodations The location of this hotel was perfect for where we wanted to be. The registration desk took care of me and asked if we needed anything else to make stay better. The accommodations were great too. Clean room, big lobby area and common area was lively. Only improvement could be to provide more bar staff at night when there are big events going on, in and around the hotel. Great place to stay. August 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent location and experience Excellent experience, great location (close to Lalapalooza grounds) and downtown restaurants August 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by One night business stay This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance (about a mile) to financial district. Even closer to some after work activities , walking distance to the Navy Pier, and a residential neighborhood with several excellent local restaurants. Also has a movie theatre, bowling alley and pharmacy within 1 block away. August 6, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Missed opportunities I stay at this hotel almost every week yet I'm treated like a newcomer each time. The service at the front desk is usauly slow and very inconsistent, like they are just going through the motions. The rooms have been due for remodeling for a long, long time. I had a newly remodeled room on my last stay and was disappointed. Ultra bright lights, questionable decor, and 1/2 remodeled bathrooms. They missed a chance to really upgrade the property. The location is good and the amenities are nice. There are just some missed opportunities January 23, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good conference site Attended a small conference and facilities were good, food was good, service was good. Some difficulty getting billing straight between conference planners and hotel meeting staff, but eventually resolved. August 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 5days in Chicago welcome at front desk was very good and very helpful, fulfilled my request of a room with a view of the lake and river, the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed ever, convenient for shopping, sightseeing, restaurants, tours, everything really, the fitness room and pool area where very good facilities. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great experience We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton very much! The location, the view, the service, the friendliness of the staff, and the value were all exceptional. August 7, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 Most disappointing stay in a great location It started out upon check in, no room upgrades and club lounge was closed. The front desk check in was fine and a very friendly staff member checked us in. Since the lounge was closed, vouchers were given for the LINK and Java Bar - a nice touch (I thought). The rooms were not upgraded, and not even on an SPG or club floor. The rooms were small, very low ceilings, and couldn't hardly even turn around in the bathroom. I did however notice the 3 long pieces of hair in the shower.....Simply Gross. Upon pulling the sheets back, while they were clean, they were ripped.....Tacky at best. The folio under the door was incorrect, I did not eat a can of pringels for $6.95 (99 cents at the store). I went down to use the vouchers at the LINK. I got two salads, a sandwich, two pariffites, and two cups of coffee - $52.00 (according to the sign outside should have been $34.00. I was not given a receipt. When I questioned the clerk she said she gave me a receipt. Then she showed me two receipts (why two??) that did not have the items I ordered. I gave up and walked away. Went up to Java Bar to use the other vouchers for 4 soda's. Was informed by the bartender he didn't open for 20 minutes, so he would not serve us! I was shocked. The housekeeping manager was standing there, and asked if he could help. I was very impressed it was not his department, but he got very involved very quickly. He called the front desk and had the overcharge from the LINK removed from my bill. Nice gesture on his part. When I checked out, the front desk guy was very friendly and seemed upset when I informed him with all the issues we encountered on this stay. He removed the pringles from the bill, and verified the credit from the LINK overcharge. He asked if there was anything he could do or if he could call the general manager. I said no, what was the point, it was just a disappointing stay. The front desk gentleman said he had noted my Platinum number and would bring my concerns forward to management. I told him I hoped my stay in March of 2013 would go smoother. I will give the hotel one more chance,.....stay tuned, I will report how the four rooms are in March of 2013. This was a most disappointing stay. But to end on a positive note, the hotel is in a GREAT location. The place has potential - hopefully the property will take a hard look at itself and make the necessary changes. December 16, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by okay hotel experience This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel. First time was 6 years ago. I chose this hotel due to its location for a girls' weekend. It's within walking distance to the park, mag mile shopping and bar hopping on hubbard street. The staff at check-in was extremely friendly and accommodating putting 3 rooms all on the 26th floor, however, we had to ask THREE times with several hours in between for our room to be serviced on a particular day. The room was an average room. The bed sheets and mattress was not the most comfortable but it wasn't horrible. I just expect more from the Sheraton. The bathroom also had a hint of a moldy smell...not sure if it was cleaning solution or actual mold/mildew. We had breakfast at the restaurant downstairs...it was okay. Nothing to rave about except that it was convenient. The hotel is situated right next to the river with nice sitting areas along the way. I wouldn't say this would be my first choice for my next trip to Chicago. If there wasn't anything else around the area, I would probably stay here again. It's not a bad hotel, just not the greatest. Rated 5 out of 5 Outstanding! This is my first of three stays this month. The front desk manager goes out of his way to make sure the stay is fantastic! I took my two young neices and parents on this trip. We had three connecting rooms with great views of the lake and river. The staff exceed every expectation. My seven year old niece had a loose front tooth, and Zach at the front desk let her know he had the tooth fairy on call! While she didn't loose her tooth, she will never forget the experiences here. Awesome stay August 8, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Oversold Expectations Paid $60 more per night for Club floor and was extremely disappointed. Food at night was no where near expectations. Food in the morning was far below expectations. It was very clear that the set up was meant for the families that were staying in the hotel rather than for adults. I walked in for a cocktail on night and was told drinks were $10.25, not complimentary. Are you kidding me? I could go down stairs into the bar, and for $1 more have a better drink, with no kids running around. October 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staple stay We stay here every year and it never disappoints. Best location for lolla. Special recognition to the professional staff member who checked us in. She was exceptional. Although we had to wait for our room a bit longer than we wanted the upgrade was well worth it. Love the club lounge. August 4, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good features, but items to improve Although this was a comfortable stay for 3 nights (Sheraton Downtown Chicago), and view of river was great, a couple issues were of concern. First the wetbar/fridge. If you take out items, they charge you by weight of items removed in that position. We were not aware of this. And removed items to make way for our own refrigerated items. Room had no fridge space for your own personal use. Our bill was loaded with charges at checkout for items we did not use - we put them back before leaving. Second, we lost money in the soda machine in the garage when picking up our vehicle. The person at the desk said we had to go back to the lobby to complain and get our money back. I feel they should re-imburse and report it themselves (the clerk at the garage desk). Overall it was a comfortable stay, but watch for unexpected charges at checkout. July 31, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A little bit to big Nice gotel, cool rooms but it is to big. Really. I got lost hahaha If you are a business traveler - you will likt this place. Nice lounge and comfy rooms. July 4, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Executive Club lacks choices Two days in a raw the Club ran out of yogurt, For afternoon snakes they had very limited/poor options. August 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel kept our room clean We asked for a discount because we were there with the horse races in Arlington. We always get a discount at our hotels and they would not give us one. That was frustrating. Other than that the staff was friendly. The rooms were nice. August 4, 2014
