Rated 5 out of 5 by greed The room price was fare, we enjoyed our stay but just add all of the hotel fees into the room rate. A $15 room service item carried a $45 bill, Our Welcome package seemed to be nothing more than 2 bottles of water for $73, every time you leave the parking lot its another $28 parking fee. Advertise what it will actually cost so we will choose to stay at the Waldorf next time, where it costs a bit more but they don't hit you with all the hidden fees. As much as I enjoyed the stay, I'll never be back because at $100 more per night the Peabody costs alot less. October 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Family Trip Our recent stay at the Walt Disney Dolphin was exactly as we expected. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating with any requests. The facilities were very nice and offered everything that we were looking for. The only hiccup we had was that we had connecting rooms and kept the door open between them. After 3 days of make a green choice I had called down and asked for service the next day and was assured it would happen. Well one room was serviced however theother was not. I called again and no one ever came up or followed up on the request again after that. October 22, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel needs to upgrade I stayed at the Dolphin for a Conference in October of 2014. It was not up the the standards of many hotels in the area. There were a number of issues that would concern the business traveler. The main issue was the room internet connections were very weak and timed out frequently. I was not able to connect to my company's VPN network due to these issues. I was not able to complete any work during the conference and the IT department was no help at all. The second issue was the general state of the room. I had asked for a King, but got a double bed facing the loading docks, and I booked four months in advance. The rooms made me feel like I was back in the 80s, with the exception of the television. The bathroom was very old and needed an exhaust fan. Most of the lamps did not work and the climate control had a mind of its own. The third was the food. While there were several restaurants in the Dolphin that were decent, the buffet and Mediterranean were overpriced and terrible. I expected more from a Disney Resort. I was sorely disappointed with the internet, rooms, and food. October 20, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by wont stay here again For the price I paid. The rooms needs to be revamped. It felt old and I felt I was in the early 90's. The room had no water for 25 mins. Was forced to Valet as the parking spaces had tents on them. Was charged the self service fee but had to wait to get my car. I was truly disappointed in the hotel as I have stayed at almost every property in Disney World and this one I will not go back .. October 13, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not up the Disney nor Sheraton Standard... The hotel is pretty, and generally clean. But our room showed signs of wear, water stains on the walls and poorly done maintenance in the bathroom. Parking was a nightmare. They closed the self-parking area and forced you to use valet at a ridiculously high price. To make it worse, with closed self-park and forced valet, they hadn't bothered to staff the valet...45 minutes to get your car is unacceptable especially for the price they charged. The valet staff was unprofessional as well; count your tips off the clock! Guests shouldn't have to ask the valet to take a car, they should meet it and open the door. Overall it was just not what I have experienced at the other hotels at Disney. I'd spend the extra money next time to stay at one of the Disney run hotels. October 13, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a Disney Hotel If you are expecting a Disney experience or even a 4 star Sheraton experience this is NOT the place to stay. First, only 4% of the 1500 rooms have a king bed, none have queens, so don't expect to get one, because you likely wont. Next, the room we did get after asking to have one NOT next to the elavator was right next to the elavator, we were told there was nothing they could do because of a conference. Next, the housekeeping service was terrible, the maid couldn't make the bed right, didn't vacume every day and didn't refil the coffee or sugar. Speaking of the elavators, they smell. Only good thing was the food in Shulas was top notch. October 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet & Comfy From check-in to check out everything was fantastic! The bed WAS heavenly and we loved our room. Breakfast was the only meal we ate at the hotel but it was great! Taking the boat from the launch, right between the Dolphin and the Swan, to Epcot was a real treat and fun. In short, staying at the Dolphin made us very happy and welcomed. October 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by What happened with the parking? A complete circus trying to check out Sunday morning, took too long the valet service to retrieve my car. No self parking available, we were forced to use the valet service or park at the Swan. Don't think I'll be coming back ! October 7, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by not a disney property Stayed here because my sister always wanted to stay at this hotel. Was kind of surprised at having to pay for parking and the $20 per day "resort fee" which gets you 2 bottles of water and wi-fi access..maybe i didn't read the fine print. Was disappointed that I couldn't charge back to the room on my room key because this is not a disney property..who knew, since the name of the place is the Walt Disney Work Dolphin Hotel....i found the disney quality of service lacking. Also, the food in the restaurants was pretty overpriced, as were the drinks by the poolside bar ($14 for a mojito) Anyway, the hotel is very nice, clean, and the staff responded very quickly when the shower knob broke off. I was kind of put off by a convention taking over all of the public areas of the hotel, but i suppose this hotel caters more to conventions. Would I stay again? probably not, but more because of the fact that it's not a disney property and you don't get all of the disney amenities, than because of the hotel itself. October 7, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Looking forward to Returning While we had a few bumps in the road during our stay, we were pleased with the overall service, staff and amenities. Our major disappointment was at check-in. We arrived late in the evening on a Thursday and despite repeated contacts to The Dolphin, our rooms were completely unacceptable. Two of the three were overlooking service areas and were more hallway than room. One room would not have permitted the curtains to be opened because the employee area was in such close proximity as to allow those in the area to see into it. The second overlooked air conditioning units and rooftop. When we returned to the check-in area we were informed there were no other king rooms available for our entire stay and we were offered a two full bed room. We had booked king. This room also had the dreaded "x's and o's" view through the wood slats. The second room was offered an 18th floor room in the Central tower which, of the three, had the best view but was inconvenient to the rest of our group. Unfortunately, our six person group (3 rooms) were scattered at the farthest reaches of the hotel from one another (last room East, 18th floor Central, and last hall West). Despite repeated contacts and requests, not a single request previously conveyed (nor the king booked on room 1) were granted. While I understand that requests are just that, to book a king room and not receive it is unacceptable. Further, the original king room offered should not be rented--it was dark, tiny, and gave the appearance of a hallway turned into a room. The ceiling height was so low that it could be reached with hands in the air and we are short people. As the title indicates--room issues aside, we do enjoy The Dolphin and will return again. Our rooms were clean, common areas comfortable and staff most accommodating. October 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Highly Recommended The hotel and staff were top rate! When we checked in we had a mixup with the number of nights we booked. The reservation only had us for 1 night instead of 8 we booked. We were worried were going to have to find another hotel because they were full due to a convention we were attending for work. In less then 24 hours the staff fixed the problem and didn't skip a beat. The service and professional way they helped us was incredible. October 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by close to Epcot We chose the Dolphin because of its location near Epcot. We were very surprised to be met by the parking valet who told us the self parking was full, but we would be getting valet parking at no additional cost. Amazing! Upon reaching the reception desk we were assisted by a wonderful young man that immediately made sure we received our Starwood points. We went to our very clean and comfortable room and were very pleased. We spent the remainder of the day at the Food and Wine Festival, but did come back for a fantastic dinner at the Dolphin. Everything we expected, NO........MUCH,. MUCH more than what we expected. Excellent service, wonderful staff and great room. Of course, we will be back! October 5, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a big fan of writing reveiws but I felt this was a complete let down. The hotel was poorly managed. The house keeping staff was always late to clean up the room. I left my room by 9am and usually returned between 3 and 5 pm and most days it wasn't done until 4 pm or later. The valet was a nightmare even when you called ahead of time you could wait up to an hour for the car to be ready. The hotel was old looking and bathroom was really tiny. The restaurants should know that your a guest at the hotel and treat you as a preferred guest not bring cold food or seat you by the kitchen. By the way I even told them I was a hotel guest. Shula's Steakhouse $200 meal pretty bad!! We had dinner at Ill Murlino 3 times and the overall staff was much better. Overall I wouldn't stay here again! I was very surprised for a Starwood property!! October 1, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Disney Dolphin - Concierge Desk A trip to Disney is always a memorable trip. We recently attended an Insurance conference called Applied Net 9/15 - 9/18. One of our customers had an issue with their room reservation and I was asked to help. We went to the concierge desk and was greeted by Ken Bessellieu. Ken professionally & quickly addressed our mutual customer's problem. Both of us were pleased with our experience and left the Dolphin very happy clients. Thank you! September 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel Needs Maintenance Good location-however toilet flooded the entire bedroom area and took hotel staff over 2 hours to attend. Took 3 calls to front desk, then room wasn't even dried out. Next day shower knob came off and the water wouldn't shut off, again had to call front desk twice and then go to front desk and 3 hours later repaired shower tub. September 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Annual Food and Wine pilgrimage We stay at the Dolphin because of it's proximity to Epcot. Due to construction, we had to park away from the hotel, although valet service was offered for the regular parking fees. The room was ready at 9:00 AM. and we were delighted to find we were on the 20th floor. The room was quite comfortable. We all slept well. We plan on returning to the Dolphin next year. Rated 4 out of 5 by Self Parking Mentioned the problem on the survey, but I will reiterate it again. The self parking area is under construction and neither the parking staff not the front desk said anything to us about it. We had to park almost a quarter of a mile away and since your daily self parking charge is not a nominal one, this is very disappointing. It is far too costly to use the valet parking since we often use the car during our stay. The valet daily rate coupled with the charge to take the car out does not make any economic sense. We have never had a problem with self parking in the past and are concerned about this since we are coming back in November and will have 2 cars at that time. September 29, 2014

I would respectfully request you refund my $26.00 a night x 4 nights parking charges. I almost missed my flight. I also had a problem with the mold coming from the AC units in the halls. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great location and good hotel. Great location for Epcot, Boardwalk. Just a brisk walk or boat ride away. Got a great price on room rate but they have annoying resort charges and parking charges which can't be avoided (sadly other hotels do this too). Internet WiFi in room was very good. We have stayed there before and I would recommend it. Unfortunately, on this stay we had a slight problem with A/C in room. Either too warm or cool but not bad enough to change rooms. Overall we were satisfied and will stay there again. September 29, 2014
