Rooms fine, response fine for minor issues. Meeting room comfortably cool and set up well.
Room fine, safe neighborhood, great 610 freeway access (as Houston goes).
Not a dealkiller, but room thermostat was tricky to operate. Not crazy about going $16 on breakfast buffet, but YMMV.

had a great time had a high floor & room was very clean. We went to Omaha Steakhouse & a hotel manager found out it was our anivisary and he bought our dinner & drinks .

Unfortunately, I had a room with the previous guest's soap in the shower, hair found I a couple of places and non-working A/C. An engineer was supposed to visit my room to investigate A/C when I left for dinner. Came back and nothing changed and no word from front desk.

Tucked away among office buildings in downtown Houston is where you'll find this "Galleria Charmer" of a Sheraton Suites. The staff is extremely attentive and they go out of there way to assist you. If you're in a hurry in the morning--check out the buffet breakfast.

The television system is cumbersome and difficult to deal with. Every time you turn it on you have to maneuver through several areas to get to "regular television." It would also have been helpful to have a television guide either within the programing or written.

This property is comfortable and the lobby area is nicely updated. The rooms, however, are in need of a remodel - particularly the bathrooms. My shower had bad rust stains in the tub and the rooms are very dark with flourescent lighting. The staff aims to please,

There are several options in the area that I am sure can offer a 4 star level performance. This hotel can not. It is obvious that the management of this hotel is not competent. There is a lack of service and concern for guest that encompasses the entire hotel.

This Hotel is in a great location especially if you have to work in the Galleria area.
However, Parking at $14 adds to your overall cost and could be a potential reason to look for an alternate page. The Westin opposite to them does not charge for parking.

I had the pleasure of dining in the hotel's restaurant. My meal was a lovely experience, from the welcome of the hostess, until I left. My server was professional and knowledgeable;the food fresh, well prepared, and tasty. I'm looking forward to my return.

The location and price of the hotel were great, but the rooms need updating. There was no hot water in the sink in our room and the maid had left a dirty rag on the counter. The couch in the sitting area looked like it was from a basement in the 1970's.

During our stay of five days, 24 hours we had NO hot water. For us is unacceptable and we received no compensation. The safe box in our room did ot work and the lock in the main door had loose screws. I reported to the front desk and nothing happened.

Hotel was recommended by Lakewood Church and we were not disappointed This was my first stay at a Sheridan Suites. This hotel was overall excellent. Our comfort was great and the facilities were outstanding. Beds comfort was top notch.

I am impressed with the front desk staff and received great SPG recognition from them. Bed is very comfortable. I am impressed with the seafood, especially the scallops and prawns at the hotel restaurant. Must have if you like seafood.

Lately (first quarter of 2014) the rates have been insanely high, but on par with most of the hotels in the immediate Galleria area. I understand the nature of competitive rates, but rates should reflect, at least in part, the quality of the hotel. The rates I've experienced so far this year at this Sheraton are far too high for what you get.
The location is decent if you can easily navigate the 610 access roads and Texas-turnarounds (as you can only access the hotel via the 610 access road). A minute drive to the Galleria and a couple of minutes drive to at least 100 restaurants and stores. Also, very easy access to highway 59.
I booked a Deluxe Suite. I attempted to discern what separates a "Deluxe" from a regular suite, but I think I failed. All rooms seem to be exactly the same. The only item in the online description of the Deluxe Suite that differs is "Deluxe Bath Amenities". This got me excited! Maybe something better than the typical Sheraton stuff that leaves a lot to be desired. Nope. Same stuff. Ugh.
The lobby is nice. A few areas well set up to sit with your colleagues to chat and/or pound away on your laptop for a bit. My confusion progressed after getting to my room. Everywhere you read, they tout their recent big buck renovation. Maybe my room missed out? I really don't see it. Everything, while certainly not in horrible condition, is outdated by at least ten years.
Lastly, my room had a door connecting it to the room next door. Certainly super convenient for people who rent adjoining rooms, but not me. I could hear everything this guy did, including flushing the toilet. You should also know that they desk in my room just so happened to be placed right next to this door--so my neighbor surely was able to hear every single part of the 10 some-odd conference calls I took from my room.
Parking is $16 overnight with in/out privileges. Funny thing, though - I went in/out several times and the gates were always open.
I'd much rather stay at one of the other Galleria properties.

Room was nice, big, clean and great. A/C... almost non-existent. I told the front desk. So either...
A) no one cared and looked at it
B) or.. they didn't fix it
C) and... no one updated me what did or did not happen.
it was hot every night.

Enjoyed the hotel for a night, but taxi is $65 from IAH as opposed to the 40 quoted on the website. Would have rented a car as the taxi costs more than the room. Pool looked nice and got a top floor room w SPG gold. Wish I could stay longer.

You have to pay for parking if you stay there! And didn't feel it was very dog friendly! I would rather stay more on the outskirts where you don't pay for parking, it's more relaxing.

Due to past stays, prior to recent renovation, I expected my stay to be well above average.
The best part is the comfortable bed, and the room is nearly a dungeon when the drapes are closed. It was perfect for sleeping in!

From the second I checked in I felt welcomed by a professional atmosphere. The young lady at the front desk was personable and very professional. I enjoyed my stay and when visiting Houston again, I will stay with you again.

The king size bed was too hard for me and my wife. I've been several other opportunites in the hotel in queen size bed room and I did not remember suffering that much. Really was painfull during the full week.

This facility is clean and comfortable. However, the check-in process was stressful. We had flight delays so I called to let the hotel staff know we would be getting in very late and to ensure that they did not give our room away. We had reserved a King suite with a pull-out sofa bed (there were 3 adults sharing this room). Upon arrival we were informed that there were no rooms matching our reservation available and that we would have to be put into a room with two double beds for one night, and then possibly change to our desired room. Eventually, afer a long wait at the check in counter while a housekeeper went to ensure that the room with a King Bed and sofa had a pull-out sofa, things worked out...but it was stressful and it took a long time after being already tired from problematic flights. The convenience of a suite is good for people traveling with a teenager...a separate bed for them (the pull out sofa), and a fridge are definite pluses. And, this hotel is very convenient to Galleria and downtown. I do wish that there was a microwave in the room though!

There is no heat in the first day. I can not move to another room right away but wait for another day. However, I still have to pay. It's kind of inconvenient. My conference host won't recommend this hotel in Houston area.

The check in process and departing process was slow. The female working the desk in the morning when I checked out was NOT at all friendly! The sheets and towels a little bit too stiff. Otherwise, all was nice.

Great location for the Galleria area. A little difficult in-and-out because it's so very close to the Westheimer/Loop 610 intersection. Spacious accomodation with huge bathroom, and that wonderful Sweet Sleeper bed!

every day we had to get our key card reprogramed. As access was canceled at differnece time of the day on each day we were there. The front deck help as good about recoding the key but it was a hassel.

The entire hotel staff were great. The hotel has been remodeled and very comfortable rooms with a good bit of space. The gym was great. The people in the restaurant were friendly every morning.

Lobby looked good - and fresh.
Hotel room smelled funny. Very dated and
carpet very old and stained. I wore socks the entire time in the room as well as putting towels on the floor.

Nice hotel. The only problem is that there is absolutely nothing for vegetarians on the room service menu. When I ask the staff to make me something, they were unable to help.
