Public Areas: Design Excellence and the lack of fragrance and music hall.
Room facilities: Bedroom participants shared a toilet living room, a small bathroom, bedside sound no iphone interface, power outlet too. Stayed for one week, housekeeping is changed daily fruit plate.
Breakfast quality: variety, delicious
Employee Services: Concierge is very good, indeed the golden key. But the front desk staff is very rude of Chinese nationality, send her thankyou card, a word of thanks are not, face expressionless. Check the entire process are uncomfortable, then really want to change a hotel
spg Platinum recognition: Upgrade to the Executive Suite, Tower Lounge access, welcome drink, fruit platter, welcome letter.

I had stayed at this property around Oct of 2012.View and access to river were some of the reasons why I came back this time. Last stay had some issues with food and door staff. I saw improvement with door staff which was great (did not dine at hotel this time). But this time, I encounter check-in/front desk staff that lacked information on current spg programs, which lead to long check in time.

Hotel is largely fine. Older grand Asiana style. Rooms a bit pokey but appointed okay and clean. Breakfast quite poor and not so much quality. But you come here for the pool and the gardens. This is the best thing. And with that in mind, it makes this large hotel a good value place to put up in Bangkok.

May I be frank....
Everything was almost perfect but the food was not to the expectation of 5 star hotel especially breakfast
Hope the management will improve on the selection of food and taste for the future

I got upgraded to a junior suite. The river view was awesome.
The club lounge is very spacious with great 180 views; the food offering was much less than the other SPG properties in Bangkok; but it was good.
Had to carry my own bag from BTS and onto the boat and then from the boat to the check-in. Not one staff offered to help.
I left my computer power cord, when I called a day later they had it. I am very happy for that, but I think they could have sent an email to tell me.
Overall a nice property, but it is off the beaten trail a bit, so make sure you don't mind waiting for the boat to the BTS.
