Although challenging to reach due to construction in Arlington adjacent the expressways, it proved worth the challenges to stay at this location. June 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff Your staff was excellent, my wife and I were departing for the MacArthur ceremony and I told one of your staff members that I was worried about checking by noon. He arranged my checkout time at 2 PM. The luncheon ran past 2 PM, when wife went to check out, your front desk staff told her not to worry and gave us the added time needed to clear the room. The cleaning person was equally accommodating when we in the process of packing. GREAT SERVICE. Please thank your staff on behalf of my wife and I. June 1, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Our DC sisters weekend Your employees were very polite & professional. The food in your restaurant was great. I think the rug in the room ( 1205 ) should be replaced soon, The only thing negative in that room beside the rug was the view . Your Hotel over all was lovely but I would not want that room again, Thank You May 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Average One side of the hotel is rather noisy (street + outside fans noises). I asked to change room, the staff agreed but its tone of voice was rather impatient making me quite uncomfortable. Rooms are correct. Surprised they offer samples of body lotion, shampoo and conditioner, but no shower gel. Convenient shuttle bus running every half hour to the shopping mall. Breakfast and Wifi were not included - found the overall price high. May 19, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by 5 to 9 June Stay My Stay was made very plesant by the Hotel staff. The Day of Check-In was a very pleasant experience starting with the Desk Clerk (Denika) She was outstanding during check-in. She provided detailed information on the services that the hotel would provide during my stay. I also checked out with the same person and again she was outstanding. I informed her that the bath room lighting for my room was not good and that the sink was located off center and the lights were off to one side making the lighting of poor quality when using the sink, the sink was also very small in my room. The Hotel resturant was outstanding, so were the other guest services. May 12, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Business The location of this hotel was not bad, because there was a complementary shuttle service to the nearest subway station. The food in the bar & restaurant was good and not expansive. Room service food was less than our expectation. There should be something else than just one piece of toasted bread and fruit juice for "continental breakfast." The people in the hotel was nice and kind. May 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Where's the Coffee Hotel is very nice, but fairly isolated. You'd have to drive to find anything to eat. As such, the hotel's one restaurant is the only option for dining. It is difficult to get a simple cup of coffee during the middle of the day. Around 3:30 p.m. I was looking to get a cup of coffee and there was no one at the restaurant or bar. Finally someone came out after several minutes to help us. May 6, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor Sheraton Experience There are other Sheratons and Starwoods in the Northern VA area that are much better than this facility. Beds were not up to the typical Sheraton Sleeper level of quality. Unless you walk into the next door Marine base, there is nothing within walking distance of this hotel which is hemmed in by multiple uncrossable highways. Rooms were clean, but featured an older bathroom layout with sinks outside of the main bathroom area. May 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall ok My first impression of this hotel was not good, as my husband and I ran to the hotel van parked outside the airport. We were almost there - yelling "wait", and the driver took off. Obviously he didn't see us, but we ended up waiting another hour and 15 minutes for his return. And may I add it was raining HARD? We felt this was unacceptable, especially after calling the hotel we were told he would be there on the 15 and 45 of the hour. Certainly did not set our expectations very high for the rest of our visit. Meals in the bar were so-so, filled the hole and that was all we needed. We would return with some reservations. Rated 1 out of 5 by Overall Bad Experience I stayed here for a wedding event. We had reservations that I booked at the end of October under a group rate for the wedding. I booked four rooms with double beds. When we arrived at the hotel, just before three, we were told it would be 40-50 minutes until the rooms were ready. Not what you want to hear after traveling six hours. Finally they "found" a room, with a king bed. Uh, no. waited while they scrambled around and came up with a double room. But only one. We were able to take the luggage to this room, and get on with our plans. They tried to give us another room, but it had a horrible odor, something of a cross between heavy cigarette smoke and cat urine. The rug was filthy. I have a feeling it is a room they don't use often.They did eventually offer us a suite, which was a nice surprise. They also comped the internet and parking fees. But the other two rooms remained king accommodations. When I called the 800 number to check on the reservations and make sure that I had booked what I thought, I was told they were switched to the king rooms at 11:51 that morning. "Did I check in early?" -No, at that time I was halfway to my destination. The desk clerks told me they overbooked their double rooms - somehow, that shouldn't be my problem. The shuttle service was nice to take you to the shopping mall and metro. The shower was a drip, with low water pressure. My family was spread out all over the hotel. There were hundreds of kids on school trips. The rooms were clean, but dated, with stains on the carpets and the furniture was a little beat up. The location is a little inconvenient, but from the side of the hotel facing Washington, the view is spectacular, if you are up high enough.. Otherwise you are looking down into people's houses and yards. The wedding reception was great. Good food, quickly served, and run without problems. Except for the lights which I saw at least three people, including myself and a waitress, trip over. Suffice to say, it is not a place I am ready to run back to right away. April 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Above my Expectations I was completely blown away with the size of the room. It was very clean and smelled fresh. The amenities were wonderful! We loved the smell of the hand soap. I was not a SPG when I booked my reservations. (I became one by the time I checked out) I was however, put on a SPG floor and the view was to die for!!! We checked in at dark so that made the view even better. We really never wanted to leave the room it was so relaxing and comfortable. We did take a tour of the hotel and the pool, gym etc is extremely nice and we will journey out of the room and use them the next stay. We were extremely happy with everything at this property and will be back soon. April 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel Stay Comfortable and Convienent I stayed here for 2 nights with my son while visiting 2 colleges in DC, the staff was wonderful and the room met all our needs. I would definitely stay here again! The shuttle service to the Pentagon City METRO was always on time, would suggest adding extra's shuttles during peak hours. April 16, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by The Hotels Location is nice in regards to DC but CONSTRUCTION is horrible nearby. Title says it all. Rooms are not very private. Neighbors can be heard easily as if they were in your room. Beds are very firm. Breakfast is overrated. Parking fee is high. April 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good exempt for a few minor things This is a nice hotel with a convenient shuttle that drops you off at the airport or the nearby mall & metro station. There were a few minor things that could have been better: The doors to the hotel rooms slam loudly unless one shuts them carefully. I know this is probably a security thing, but it is also really annoying when one is trying to sleep and is woken up by several doors slamming at 6am. There was no ironing board in our room (#423), which was fairly annoying when we pressed for time to get out the door. We did not contact the management because we were in a rush to get ready. Several of the outlets in our room were faulty. The one in the bathroom didn't work at all and two others were too loose preventing things from staying plugged in (annoying again). On the positive side, the beds were pretty comfortable and the facilities kept up except for these minor issues. It would be nice if there was a complimentary breakfast and a hot tub. April 8, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Alternate room, noisy neighbors, broken thermostat I arrived at 8pm and my room wasn't ready, so I was placed in a comparable room. It wouldn't have been an issue were it not for the paper-thin pass-through doors that enabled me to hear my neighbor's calls all night, including those of the other person on the phone. Different neighbors the next night, but just as loud. Thermostat was off quite a bit. When my wife called to have it fixed, the solution from maintenance was just to increase the temperature on the thermostat by about 10 degrees (set to 80-something degrees). The carpet by the door had some noticeable wear and tearand is due for a cleaning. Aside from that, the bed was really comfortable. April 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Army Special Event First of All, I want to give thanks to the following outstanding employees that met my every need and while doing so always called me by my last name as I approached the front desk. Ms. Sevena was superb to say the least. From the time I walked in she was accommodating and welcoming. Her front desk knowledge and professionalism was quick, honest and genuine. Ms. Sura also met the same expectations and work ethics. The Shuttle drivers were awesome and on time and were always willing to help. I really enjoyed this hotel along with 23 other family members. Rated 5 out of 5 by Expectations exceeded While my travel is limited to one or two trips from Savannah, GA to the Far East yearly, I've been doing so for 14 years, usually stay in very nice hotels, enjoy good food, and expect great service. The only negative aspect of my stay at this Sheraton was the bedding which is typical these days even in better hotels. There was a bottom sheet, top sheet, and a comforter/quilt which doubled as a bed spread. The latter was too hot but using the top sheet only wasn't warm enough. I don't understand prioritizing the savings in house keeping labor over guest comfort when sleeping. What's needed is a blanket and light bed spread so guests can adjust as they wish. Beyond that the room was very nicely appointed, clean, and spacious. The reason for my visit was the Medal of Honor ceremony on March 18, 2014 at the White House and all awardees and their families stayed at this hotel. Otherwise I would have tried to find lodging in Washington that was less costly. On the evening of the 17th the Army held a reception in the hotel attended by approximately 300 people. Hotel personnel staffed this event and all were exceptionally courteous and professional, and the food great. Though I only had breakfast on two mornings in the hotel restaurant, I've never had such good service. I did the buffet and the diversity and quality of food was superb. As well, I was very pleased with the interface I had with house keeping and front desk personnel. The airport shuttle ran every 30 minutes and was timely and comfortable going/coming. March 25, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by This is the worst Sheraton I've stayed at. I was not satisfied with this hotel nor the staff. Although there was a concierge desk, it was never occupied. I found the bartender in the evening rude. It took me 15 minutes to order a drink and then I was treated rudely when I questioned the charge. My room had a strange odour - it was similiar to pet urine. You might want to consider mats for your tubs as I almost slipped twice on taking a shower. I am athletic so was able to avoide a fall. Ermerlita at the club lounge during breakfast was very accommodating, friendly, and maintained the place spotless! Outstanding Service! Lady at the pastry/coffee shop, front of the restaurant helped me set up a muffin try for breakfast. She went way and beyond her way to make sure the breakfast purchased were presentable. Thank you! Rated 2 out of 5 by Location great for what we needed - then it went downhill! We recently participated in Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery. Sheraton Pentagon City was the perfect location for a place to stay. We arrived on a Friday evening - "Sorry sir, the club is closed for the weekend". We are SPG Gold with 26 stays so far this year. We have to come expect and enjoy the club. Oh well! Our room had a great view of the city, but you didn't want to look down as the carpet looked like it had come out on the losing end of a frat party beer blast. I took pictures to document the mess. Now when other SPG hotels have had closed clubs we have been invited to breakfast at no cost, as if we were in the club. This offer was not made to us. For our 26 SPG stays this year this was hands down the worst. However, the honor of participating in Wreaths Across America made the whole trip extremely worthwhile. December 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding customer service This was not our first stay at the Pentagon City Sheraton and it will NOT be our last. The staff was really attentive to our needs.
