Rated 2 out of 5 by Not what you expect with Sheraton I have been a starwood platinum member for a while now and have always stayed at SPG hotels. I have to say that when you first enter this hotel, it looks like you would expect, with a beautiful lobby and atrium. When I got to my room however, I noticed small things that just don't seem like Sheraton. The room itself is laid out quite nicely. My bathroom door did not click closed, and could not lock. There were marks and stains on the walls, rust on the fixtures and that pink mold around the tub and sinks. On the door to the balcony, there were fingerprints, and the track had dirt, dust and cobwebs filling it. The maids didn't finish cleaning the rooms until dinner time, but obviously they were not doing a good clean if marks on the walls could have just been removed with a soapy rag and a couple minutes. We also had issues with the staff entering without knocking, even though we had the silent sign on the door. They entered, must have seen us there, and left. We notified the front desk and they apologized, but we were worried for the rest of the stay. The other issue we had was the elevators and events in the hotel. All of the rooms open out over the atrium, which is pretty, except when there are weddings and parties that go until late in the evening and the music and sound can be heard in your room 7 floors up. I was there, needing to sleep and get up early, not be kept up late listening to music from an event downstairs. They also shut down the elevators on one side of the hotel all weekend to accomodate for a wedding that was happening and another party. I stayed on the SPG guest level, but all I got was a free bottle of water and a thank you for being an SPG member on check in. I don't feel that I was treated better, especially because I am young and felt like they treated me like a child. I have stayed in many better Sheratons, and there are 3 other Sheratons within the Tampa area. I've never stayed there, but I would suggest going to one of them instead. December 2, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Somewhat disappointing. Nice large room but we did experience more than average amount of problems. Hot water was a huge issue for both sink and shower. The TV in the bedroom had no sound. The TV in the other room worked at first and then we did not have any reception, cable. Breakfast on Saturday morning may have been the worst experience I have had traveling. It was a CLUSTER! Not much food at the buffet. I had to sit at the bar and eat. 2 waitresses were yelling at each other. Really quite unbelievable . November 25, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the atmospher and the Staff Excellent! The Staff is very accommodating with my wine samples. They have been willing to refrigerate for me in their commercial refrigerators ( I am a Wine Sales Rep) I like that they have a complimentary bottle of water in the room and the bed linens and pillows are so comfortable.I also love that I can get transportation to local restaurants. Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful exerience Loved it from the moment we walked in. Friendly and professional staff makes you feel so welcome. Lobby is amazing with Palm Trees and water, love the glass elevators. The rooms are all suites, even small refrigerator and microwave, so when we didn't finish dinner from their amazing restaurant downstairs, we took it to the room and enjoyed it later. Everyone on staff is so professional and friendly....that alone sets it apart from any other hotels...but the hotel goes even further, exceeding my expectations. November 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Business travel It is difficult to be away from home on a weekly basis. Smiling faces and personal recognition make a huge difference. The warm interactions and personal touches afforded by the staff at all levels made a huge difference over the 6 weeks I was coming in and out of this hotel. Rated 3 out of 5 by Unsatisfactory Stay was not the Norm! This hotel is always my number 1 location when I travel monthly. My most recent stay was not up to the excellent standards. No phone in the bedroom, internet connection problems for my Mac. Also I had no control of the room temperature. I froze for 2 nights then was in a sweat box the next night. November 10, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel is worn The hotel needs updating. The halls are dark and carpet dirty. My shower was dirty, with broken soap containers. There are no glowing light switches or night light. try to go into the room at the night without bumping into something. The lights by the bed were plugged into the wall behind the bed wich kept bumping into the cord unplugging the light. This is also a potential electrical hazard. October 31, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Stay was ok-not to Sheraton standards I have stayed at this hotel on 3 occassions now and have been disappointed on each stay for different reasons. The common areas and the staff are both above average. On previous stays I have been turned off by worn and stained carpets and moldy fridges. This stay I was situated with a room backing on the highway. It was extremely noisy. The drapes did not shut properly and it lacked a clock and other minor ammenities I would expect from a Sheraton hotel. October 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Exceptional customer service We've stayed at this SPG property in the past, but this particular time the staff really went above & beyond to be helpful. The staff was friendly at check-in, but the midnight desk staff deserves special recognition. We came back from our family's Busch Gardens adventure sometime after midnight and there was no parking available in the parking lot. One of the staff members offered to move his own vehicle so that we could park. Fortunately, one of the other staff members realized there was a 'reserved' space in front of the hotel that he made available for us to use. These two gentleman were kind & helpful at a moments notice to our very tired family! I wish that I had gotten their names so that they could be recognized individually, but hopefully this will make it back to them. October 26, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by This hotel had no hot water! We stayed at the Sheraton Suites Tampa Airport Westshore on Friday, October 18, due to an early morning flight on Saturday. The staff was fantastic! However, there was no hot water when we were preparing for our early morning flight. The water was not even warm--after allowing it to run for 35 minutes! Definitely would not stay at this hotel again! October 20, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs improvement I was there for the ACDC Soccer Tournament with lots of other soccer teams. The bathroom has a lot of moisture on the ceiling more likely due to the lack of fan. There were moisture stains on the ceiling. The toilet takes at least 10 mins before you can flush again..and if you shower within that 10 mins, the water is scalding hot. Breakfast was less than satisfactory. There were no plates when I went to grab breakfast. When plates came out, there were no eggs or bacon. I've had my reservations for weeks which meant the hotel is aware of the upcoming soccer tournament. I expected for the facility to staff up for that event. I do love the size of the room & the separation between the front room & the sleeping quarter. Its great for when the (soccer) girls want to hang out. With some improvements this hotel would be at least a 4star. October 20, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs improvement Room needs better lighting specially in work area, light bulbs are very dull even with all lamps on. Wifi is almost useless. Drains are painfully slow. These are based on multiple stays over the last few months. On my last stay, there was no water for a day as prt of a Scheduled maintenance activity, this should Have been notified before arival to allow guests to decide if they neded alternate arangements and a room credit offered. Rated 2 out of 5 by Columbus Day Stay While the rooms/overall hotel met our expectations the dining experience was extremely poor for breakfast. We were there as part of a soccer tournament, and they were ill prepared for us. Ran out of food, utensils etc, it was terrible and we have booked well in advance and had called the hotel to make sure they were prepared. The employees were friendly and apologetic, and the rooms and such were good, but the dining left a lot to be desired. October 14, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! The hotel cleanliness, staff and rooms exceeded expectations. A lot of times, when a hotel is considered all-suites you may get a bit bigger room and sometimes not. The two rooms worked perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We went to a USF game by hotel shuttle and our driver, a transplant from NY, went above and beyond and was awesome. October 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent value, property This hotel is an excellent value for those staying in Tampa. Great facilities, close to the airport with regular shuttle service, and great staff. The rooms were incredible at the property. As far as I know, most rooms include a separate spacious living room with it's own TV that can have an input device. The hotel itself also looks modern and has a great central area with open views. Wifi could be faster, but I recommend using a cable connection if looking for fast speeds. I stayed at the hotel for 3k starpoints, and think that was a steal. October 1, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by The room didn't have internet The moved to anothe room that had internet but just in the living room area. No internet in the bedroom area. It has happened to me twice within two months. Floors 7 & 8. Also, room service staff should be more attentive they didn't bring my full food order September 25, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by I will return. The room was great, but the front desk staff was not informative on how the programs and facility worked. They did not explain to me the Go Green Program and when I saw the door holder in my room on night 2, it was too late for the previous night. I was then asked didn't I read the door hanger. That is not a productive way of handling the program or informing guest on how things worked. On the other hand, I did have a problem with the pluming in my room and it was fixed right away. Over all I was very comfortable and I do recommend this location. September 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by CLEAN, FRIENDLY, AFFORDABLE We have stayed in the Sheraton Suites 6 times in the last 3 months as we are using a medical facility in the vicinity periodically. The Hotel is much more convenient and easier than driving the hour home after procedures. The hotel is perfect for our situation. The bedroom is separated from the living area with a door so my spouse can be resting while I have access to the rest of the living area with easy chair, couch, TV, large desk, microware and refrigerator. There are large TV’s in both rooms. We have stayed in both the East and West wings toward the front and find it quiet and easy to get sleep. The price was reasonable for the area and low when you figure in the large amount of space. The entire staff throughout the hotel has been great, going out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The dining room serves very good food again at a reasonable price with a happy staff. The whole hotel is kept very clean and in good repair even if it is not the newest. The rooms surround a large atrium with healthy trees, plants and a running stream which makes for a very restful atmosphere. For our needs it is ideal. September 19, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great rooms The Suites are perfect for the business trip. The work-out facilities are ok, due to location next to the pool. The work-out room was very hot and humid due to the location. You get a sauna with every work-out! September 12, 2013
