Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Service Very convenient location, nice bar and restaurant, and the staff was simply outstanding. the front desk was excellent. the gym was also a great plus for travellers, and very peaceful. December 28, 2011

Rated 5 out of 5 by Too Good to Be Noticed I often frequent the SPG hotels near LAX, which is great cause there is four in the area and I always look forward to SPG status. I am so closed to Platinum so I have really just started staying at the hotel for no true purpose beyond upgraded status. The sad thing is that after so many stays and so many dollars spent most of these SPG hotels do very little beyond offering you points. I have experience the true spirit of the program, however the norm is to stick you in a regular room call it SPG level and debate rather not if you can get the late check out... My recent stay at this hotel was not that bad, thanks, but there was no room upgrade, no comp parking, just my gift of additional points which tend to be getting smaller and smaller compared to my first race to platinum...I stood in line at the "status-Line" and notice that no one pay attention to me or my facial expression of looking at three people get called before me...its annoying that the dedicated line is too busy calling from the general line...yet it is I who have choosing SPG to be and investment and have earned the status that I would like to be recognized for ... not sure if this program gives what it was intended for, but looking at my AMEX monthly bill and I can assure that it takes.. Rated 1 out of 5 by NEVER AGAIN Worst experience in 64 years - 45 min check in - planned power outage with no notification. - closed access to elevators - dirty bath - TV remote did not work properly. September 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay We came to Cali for our sons football game. Even though the hotel is right by the airport, we didn't hear any planes going by. Very clean and staff is friendly. December 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 Best airport stay at LAX so far Efficient reception. Large room, very clean. Friendly staff. Also nice selction of bar meals. Nicely prepared at reasonable prices for an airport hotel. April 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tired airport hotel Checked in late afternoon for a one night stay, and was given a choice of an accessible king room or twin room on the Club Floor. Suites were available per the website, but as it was just one night, I didn’t push it. I’ve stayed at this property several times over the years, and it’s a typical airport hotel. The room is starting to show its age, but it’s clean. Water pressure was extremely low, and the bathroom is rather cramped. The walls are also a bit on the thin side; you can hear the murmurs of your neighbors while they’re talking. The desk has a lamp with built in power ports. However, I wasn’t able to get Internet (either wired or wireless) working. The Club Lounge is open in the afternoons from 5:30-7pm, and offers cheese, vegetables, soft drinks, and one hot item. Just enough to snack on. Wasn’t there for breakfast, so I can’t comment. The room service menu is varied, and the food is actually quite good. The gym is spacious with lots of equipment, which is good, as it’s usually quite busy. Not bad for an airport hotel. I’m not sure if I can stay here for an entire week though. But for one or two nights, it’s barely adequate. June 5, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel did not meet expectations The web site for the hotel was not easy to navigate, was vague in the amenities offered, no complimentary breakfast, furniture in the room looks good but very uncomfortable to sit in. The internet was was difficult, a lot of proxy errors when trying to use it for work. $3 for a bottle of water, come on, most places that is complimentary. Bed was not very comfortable, bathroom was dirty, I realize you are in business to make money, but when I can go elsewhere in the same area get better service, clean room, amenities are better, such as evening reception, morning breakfast, both complimentary, chairs that are both inviting and comfortable to use I will go elsewhere in the future. Rated 4 out of 5 by Convience location Hotel room is nice and clean. Staff always forgot to give me $5 voucher or 500 starwood points when I hang out "no need to clean up my room" tag. February 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great features Classy was very spacious..staff was to the hotel early and had to wait several hours, but it was worth the wait March 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by The Hotel is very convenient for LAX I enjoyed most of my stay but the Hotel was very cold, in spite of the outside weather being windy and cool especially in the meeting rooms and the concerts and we both needed heavier clothes than we had brought with us. The bar tender was very surly when asked what draught beer he had available. His response "only Pilsner" this I believe was all they had every night. The front staff did not know how the local transportation system worked, i.e the buses and the Go Metro. I did explain them to him as I have visited your area at least 5-6 times. May 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not the greatest experience The hotel was nice, restaurants were good. But, we stayed 5 nights and not once did I get a hot or even warm shower in the morning. December 10, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Internet Speed Internet speed is extremely poor. System is no better than phone dialup. System is old and needs to be upgrade ASAP. January 6, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The location is ideal Great location off the major freeways towards Santa Monica, south to South Bay and around the block from LMU. July 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent airport hotel Location to airport is ideal, but the BEST feature is the ultimate soundproofing and room-darkening drapes. July 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The service and people are wonderful! The hotel had great features and is situated in close proximity to many restaurants and shops. September 18, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location, disappointing rooms Great location of hotel next to LAX airport for those needing a quick arrival or departure; however, this and other Sheraton's I have stayed seem to need updates/upgrades to their room decor and bathrooms. The bathrooms are poorly lit and the showers slow to drain. I've stayed at 2 different Sheraton's during the last month and both bathrooms smelled like mold. The pink/red mold on the shower curtain was clearly visible so not sure why those aren't replaced regularly by housekeeping. Surely it can be seen and smelled. Other than that, this particular hotel location worked out great for us as the shuttle ride to the airport was less than 5 minutes. July 31, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bad start to our holiday We arrived after a very long flight to find that our room that we had prebooked had been cancelled! Could this have been due to an oversell? We were given an upgrade and the room that we stayed in was pretty good. We we then embarrassed when we tried to charge to our room because we were not asked to provide a credit card at check in. In saying that the hotel is in a great location, nice rooms and public areas. Pool area could be maintained better by cleaning the ashtrays that are left on the tables on a more regular basis. Would we stay here again, probably. May 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for the money Nice hotel with pretty great staff. Had an issue with the transportation service, though. The shuttle drivers work for another company (they share shuttles with a parking lot), and are not the nicest. The first shuttle driver just drove past all of us and didn't even bother to stop, and we had to wait for another shuttle. So we ended up having to wait over 30 minutes to go less than a mile down the road. The next morning the shuttle driver was giving a passenger a hard time about which airline he was using. It was obvious the passenger did not speak English, but instead of just looking at the guys boarding pass, he just kept repeating, "which airline, there's more than one". "Which airline"? He would then shake his head in disgust and repeat his question. May 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by hassle Door lock wasn't working properly. Took multiple tries to unlock it. TV just broke on my first night watching it. Guy at the desk was nice though. The first time I went down to get a new key, I stood in the empty line for non SPG folks as there were a bunch in the platinum gold line. rather than call on me to simply replace my key they skipped over me twice and the guy had a bad attitude. Keep in mind that I have stayed well over 80 nights with Starwood. I will not stay there anymore if I can help it. Besides that one guy everyone else was nice. probably should hire more maintenance guys or spend some money fixing some of these issues. July 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid Airport Hotel This is a solid airport hotel. Much better than most. Good Platinum recognition with an upgrade to a suite of some sort -- really a very big room with a couch and table... very small normal bathroom though. I used the lobby area to do some work. The lobby area is well setup for people to meet, converse or get some work done. i left my laptop case there and later went down to look for it and it was gone. Called lost and found and luckily it had been found by a hotel employee and was promptly returned to my room! The reason why I was using the lobby was that the internet in the room was painfully slow, and was very fast in the lobby. I called tech support on the internet and was transferred to the offsite vendor who walked thru a script, including asking me for a contact number -- wouldn't you think that if you had just been transferred to them from the Sheraton Gateway, they would know the phone number to call if they had to call you back -- they did "reboot" the local router and the service did "improve" although it was far too slow, hence heading to the lobby, as I didn't have the time or the patience to talk to someone in a call center, rather than someone in the hotel who might have been more equipped to handle the problem. Had a breakfast in the Brasserie the next morning. Ordered off the menu. Service was good, but I'd have to say that the food was only just OK! Anyway, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again for a quick stay if I needed to around LAX -- would venture further out for a more extended stay. May 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great room, lousy radio. Our group, LAJI, switched to the Sheraton for this year's spring event. The facilities are great (although the Grand Ballroom is too reverberent for music, needs damping). The rooms are great, especially for the price. One comment: The hot water system could be modernized. I arrived in the early afternoon, received a room at the end of a wing (1002), and had just warm water. The maintenance guy said to let it run for ten minutes. He was correct! But, with water scarcity as it is, that's not environmentally friendly. May 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by This is a hotel and that is all I am an Spg member (10 years+) and had booked a club room . We checked in and it was as you would expect when you are a number. When we got to our room, keys did not work. We return to the counter for new key cards.pain when you have been on the road for ten hours/or a flight for 12 hours Our room was clean (as you would expect) Bath room although clean needed repairs and should not be rented out at the current rate until these are completed. 1/ the clear coat on the top of the sink bench has started to come-away around the sink (badly) 2/ Bath tap would not completly turn off with out really swing on it (which means constent dripping not to mention the waste of water. Day two of our stay our key cards stopped working, back down stairs where the front desk person was not rude, but was curt, I also tried to arrange a late check out but she would not give me later than, although I'm a Spg member. She also would not give me a new key as I had no ID on me.(did have another person there who could ID me, so the duty manager was called. New keys were programed and I was escorted back up to our room, Key's didn't work. I also ask the manager if he would arrange for a later check out the next day (4.00pm ) which he said would not be a problem and because of all the problems with the keys he would arrange for credits on my spg a/c later that day I checked by the front desk see if this had happened NO none of it had been arranged. I did get my late check out but not with out waitting while The front desk person want off to find out and was 3 or 4 min but seemed like 10. This hotel is clean, close to LAX (very) Price well Staff (front desk) if not happy in your job do something you would like to do. The bath room would not stop me from staying again ( I notifed front desk on checking out) But the front desk service might M.T Auckland New Zealand November 19, 2011
