Staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. Hotel was attractive and clean. Rooms left something to be desired. Air vent hadn't been dusted in weeks, spider web with spider over bathroom sink, TV remote was outdated and cumbersome, had to scroll through several promts every time television was turned on, desk chair vinyl was badly torn, AC fan had annoying whine at low speed. Beds were nice, plenty of pillows, linens clean.

Great views from up high, room was well furnished and ample amenities and toiletries. The fridge was dirty I cleaned the best I could. We are Platinm Plus members and were accommodated to stay on the 12th floor and utilize the Club Lounge. We have stayed many times here, and have noticed a decline in service and fare in this facility. We had breakfast and French toast sticks were dry and tasteless only melon in fruit bowl, no strawberries blueberries etc, Raisen, nuts or oatmeal.. Only one choice of bread & bagel (not fresh was packaged) no one staffing the lounge or cappuccino machine! Evening 'horduerves' was unsatisying a well, no cheese raw veggies fruit plate (that mornings melon?) and hot item was dry and more fried dough than tasty food.
We went to downstairs restaurant and offerings were room service menu should be more extensive with healthy options

The hotel was clean and very nice. The desk agent try to help me however, there was one that was very disrespectful and laugh in my face when I asked a question. I stay in March 12. The guy I was rude when he laugh in my face. I felted that he expected me to know. First of all, I never being to Atlanta and the Sheraton Getaway. The situation happened in the afternoon of that day. The rest of the employees were very friendly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Trav1 Beautiful Hotel, but the restaurant staff are terrible.
The room was great, but the hotel was booked by my employer and I was not aware of all the features available to me until the 2nd day. My wife went to the restaurant for breakfast and was left waiting for 4-5 minutes in full view of the server while he was behind the desk with the register. She thought it was a fluke and went for lunch the next day. She was seated right away by a manager and then she waited for the server. Was left there waiting for 10 minutes before the same manager noticed her and took her order. The server strolled around the restaurant slowly doing nothing while the manager was busily trying to take care of customers. My wife then had to flag him down to pay the check. He responded "I guess" and slowly meandered to the register where he was not friendly at all. Great room. Great custodial staff. Disappointing experience with all other staff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DC625 Awesome Hotel Experience
From the front of the house to the back, the Sheraton Gateway Atlanta is simply wonderful. My hotel experience was a joy. The overall service was superb! The food and service in the 1900 Grill was just fantastic! Our conference was made especially great because of Ms. Maria and her great serving abilities! Ms. Maria deserves a raise! Tommy and the evening Concierge are exemplary employees. Sheraton, keep up the great work!

My wife and I were there only one night, this time. I chose the beverage as my gift. The meeting went longer and I came in late that night I was unable to use it. When I went to the desk and said "I can't use it , it's too late" I was asked by the staff if they could!!!! I did not expect to change it for the 250 points but did not think that would be the staff response. Used The Gateway in the past and will in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by momma59 the front desk staff was excellent
We were traveling through Atlanta and picked this hotel because of the price. We had been driving for 7 hrs so when we arrived, we were very tired. The front desk staff (Bryant) was excellent. He was very friendly & was very attentive. The room was a little outdated, but overall very good. We ate dinner in the hotel & it was the worst turkey club ever. The toast was dry, Miracle Whip was used and the turkey was very wet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tonya5 Hotel had nice facilities
We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable, and we received a rollaway for our son. We enjoyed the heated pool, and the airport transfers. We were about 15 min from major downtown attractions, but there is a restaurant in the hotel that was good, and one right across the street that you can walk to if needed. The coffee bar was nice in the lobby.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Priscilla027 Highly disappointed in this Sheraton
Airport shuttle to the hotel was prompt and courteous. Check in was extremely long because hotel was not prepared for two conferences and a family reunion. Shared public restrooms were not attended to, even after request. The hotel neighborhood shuttle refused to do drop-offs designated in the information packet. They actually left us stranded at a location they transported us to. Management was flippant and rude.

We stay at this hotel pretty frequently. Our past esperience has been very good. On our recent stay we had trouble with the parking - specifically exiting. Your front desk supervisor Ca**en was one of the least friendly staff I have ever met - I've been Platinum for 8 years. Long story short I was double-billed for parking as the key she made didn't work and it was pouring out. So I paid by credit card to exit.

I would like to express that your Front Desk Agent Sylvia (I believe that was her name) was WONDERFUL!! She exceeded my expectations!! Your bellman that was working Saturday Evening was EXCELLENT as well!! The only problem I encounter was the toilet in my room was very slow. The Engineer came to fix it but it still ran slow. I informed your Front Desk Agent when I checked out. Overall, wonderful Hotel!!

I had lost an important item. Staff member Ernest was very helpful in trying to help me find it. As it turned out, I'd lost it at the airport, but the front desk was alerted, so when a call came in from a person who'd found my item, the young woman who took the call used excellent judgment in forwarding the call to my room, and I was reunited with my item. I am very grateful to your staff for its assistance.

I stayed at this hotel all the time but ALWAYS same result. House keeping don't respect the do not disturb sign. They ALWAYS wake me up by either knocking on the door, coming in the room or calling me.
Please let me sleep.

After a less than favorable experience with ATL's new "automated Customs," (1 hour thirty minutes) we arrived a bit tired and worn at your location. The gentleman at the front desk, Sidney Wood was wonderful! He accommodated us so professionally our mood changed 100%. He is a credit to any organization luck enough to have him!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Elle My Stay at Sheraton on 5/16/13-5/19/13
I was very dissatisfied with my stay at the Sheraton in Atlanta, GA. The room had not been properly cleaned prior to my arrival. Hair from the previous guest had not been removed from the bathroom. It was disgusting to remove someone else's hair. I stayed there nights and once was the room vacuumed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I honestly wish I would have spent my $341.00 at another hotel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mmoss no club access
Since this property no longer allows SPG Gold level members access to the club lounge, I specifically purchased a room with king size bed and club level access. When I got up in the morning and tried to access the club my key did not work. There was not enough time time to go downstairs and reprogram the and go back upstairs to get breakfast in the club without missing the van and waiting another 20 mins.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bungala Good and not so good
Hotel was OK, sufficient for the conference we were there to attend. I requested a room with a shower, no tub, and they only had one handicap-equipped room, which they graciously gave me. However, if I had been in a wheelchair instead of just on crutches, I would not have been able to move about the room as it was so small.
The hotel catered the food for the conference, and they ran out of beverages during one of the meals. The food, although well presented, was not very good.
The hotel offered free wi-fi for the conference, but with more than 400 attendees with one or more devices each, service was spotty. Several of the presenters were unable to connect to the internet for their presentations.
On the good side, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the hotel itself was well-kept. I would stay there again, but would probably not recommend having a large conference there.

Rated 1 out of 5 worst place ever
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone not even my worst enemy!!!! Elevators took for ever to get on, couldn't use the stairs if there was a fire my family and I and a whole lot of people would have been dead!!! The manager is the rudest and most unprofessional jerk I have ever met!!!! Horrible there is nothing they could do to make it better!!!!!

I was very dissatisfied with this hotel! There was no microwave in my room or refrigerator, & when I asked for one they said it would be $20 to rent one! I missed my daughters pageant walk through because I took the stairs & I couldn't get out because floor one & two doors were locked! My mother in-law used the ATM & it took her money! There were only 4 elevators in the hotel & they took sometimes 20min.

I had to spend one night here for a work related event. I had checked in and went to my room. Before getting to my room, just walking the hallways gave me the vibe that it was not clean as there was trash on the floors, etc. I went in and found the room be equally as dirty. The sheets and blankets had stains, etc. speaking with my colleagues the following morning, their rooms were in similar condition.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Porsche Pillows great, Cleanliness okay
Bathroom toilet bowl black mold around inside cover...Concierge floor lounge does not have any bar facilities, but eggs included in the continebtal breakfast was a nice addition. When ordering room service the phone rang forever. Valet van service to the airport poor. Several people waiting and they would not deploy the other Van just sitting there. Had to wait 25 minutes for next schedule trip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hanges07 Horrible experience!!!
Had to stay at this hotel because flight was cancelled. Check-in was not friendly. Restaurant experience was horrible. Was rudely "greeted", sat at a dirty table with empty beer bottles for over 20 minutes. Took another 15 minutes to get any service, Had to find someone to even pay the check. At midnight people in the room next to me where screaming, called the front desk TWICE to get no answer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by artie2015 Quiet place for sleep
Hotel staff if very accommodating when it comes to the guest needs. The club lounge is a nice touch for Platinum guests. I love the 24 hour access to soft drinks, bottle water and fruit. The Hotel is not a winner when it comes to décor however if you need a quiet night/day rest in a comfortable room without hearing doors slamming or kids running up and down the hall this is the place for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Babyshaq The hotel has great staff
The hotel's registration, customer service, and concierge staff was exceptional. Housekeeping did the bare minimum nothing more or less. I was there for 7 nights at a conference and could not wait to leave. The food was subpar. I guess I was the only vegetarian, as everyone was done eating by the time I received my meal at every plated meal function. For one banquet, paid $65 for steamed vegetables and cheesecake. What a rip off. The rooms are small and bathrooms even smaller. No microwaves or refrigerators. The room was very dark and hard to work in as the desk was missing the lamp lamp. The pool had baby droppings that stayed there for hours. Shame on the baby's mommy and staff for not removing. The exercise facilities were adequate and there was quite a bit of patio space for additional workout activities. My daughter was able to continue with her basketball training regiment while there.

!st time staying @ this location. Staff was initially friendly, but one time I attempted to call guest svc from my rm and no one answered after 2 attempts. The room itself was avg. clean but in need of updating especially the bathrm. Exec lounge was good and attendant was helpful. This hotel is convient due to location, via airport and Atlanta, but I expect better from Starwood for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JDMF This was not the norm for SPG where I have stayed before.
There were several events during our conference going on and a lot of domestic issues with the other people staying there at the time. We lost sleep due to a fight next door to us, some all night partying going on in rooms and bad children all over the place. This was not a good experience for a conference even though it was good proximity to airport.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Josh1234 Not up to par
Upon arrival, was double-booked with someone else. Through our corporate account, we get Club level rooms and access. I was placed in a room that was already occupied by someone. opened the door and there was all his stuff. Went back to front desk and informed them of the mistake. Was then told there are no club level rooms left and placed on a lower level. The room was not near the comfort of the club level. No fridge in the room, the A/C would not go below 74* and the tv was tiny. Tried multiple times to connect to the internet(which is also included on corporate account), but could not get connected in the room. All said and done, checked out of the hotel and received my receipt. Instead of being charged for the lower-class room, they still charged me for club level and all I had was access to the lounge. So at a rate of $40/night higher than it should have been, the stay was a little less than expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mieke5 Poor administration
I stay at least 10 nights a year at the Sheraton but almost every time I have the same problem. They tell me at check-in that as a gold member I have a choice of a free drink, free internet or 250 points. I always choose free internet and almost every time they charge me anyway and I have to make phone calls to correct this charge. It gets a little tedious when it happens over and over.

I arrived late in the evening and was very tired. The Staff were kind and efficient. It usually takes me a while to fall asleep but the bed was so comfortable I don't remember my head hitting the pillow. The rest of my stay continued with more kind and efficient interactions with Staff, especially Michael at the front desk. I certainly look forward to staying at this Sheraton, again.

My stay was an extremely welcome recovery after spending a week in Haiti building houses with Habitat For Humanity under very adverse conditions. The rooms and facilities are excellent and all staff friendly, helpful and efficient. If the opportunity presents itself in the future I will most definitely return and will also recommend your facility to anyone traveling through Atlanta.
