We stayed 4 nights at the Sheraton during the Easter holidays. Every staff we came across with was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bed comfortable. We particularly loved the location of the hotel, which is an easy 15min walk to Circular Quay, Chinatown and Darling Harbour, not to mention it's only across the road from Westfield, DJ and stone throw from Pit St Mall, QVB....We also caught the free bus 555 which stops across the road from the hotel.
IF anything to fault, I would say the bar fridge in the room was not cold enough as the yoghurt we bought from outside was still "warm' to touch after putting it in the fridge for 1 day.(fridge was turned to max already)
But in conclusion, we would definitely recommend it and return ourselves.

This is a very good hotel that could be rated excellent if several design changes would be made in the large bathroom. I should mention the bathroom is luxurious and spacious and has both a tub and a large shower. However, there is inadequate counter space. There is unused space underneath the single sink that should have been used for a storage shelf. Also there is a metal shelf in the shower that has no drainage holes and thus fills up with water that must be swept out to keep the soap from melting into a goo--another design flaw.

This is a great hotel to spend time. Its facilities and services are wonderful and the location is awesome. Even when something is not right they fix it and they look after you.
The hotel has some staff who will exceed your expectations. They remember your name, they remember your previous order, and they welcome you back.

We were underwhelmed by our stay. We advised the night manager on the 2nd night our a/c was not working as the room temperature was over 25 degrees. We were moved rooms at midnight having first been advised of no spare rooms and a fan would suffice. Our next room resulted in the night technician spending a half hour in our room trying to fix our television. We wanted to eat from the buffet on the Saturday night but were advised there were no tables available until 9.30pm. All in all an expensive and stressful "quiet weekend" away.

Hotel has a few things that I thought could be changed. The breakfast buffet is not very well organised, fresh fruit at one end, fruit salad at the other for instance, and tables too close to the buffet meant you felt like you were going to fall over other guests. The air con wasn't working well during the night (and no opening windows) so we felt very claustrophobic in the middle of the night. The bar is excellent, intimate atmosphere with good food and very attentive and well trained staff.

Our brief stay at the Sheraton on the Park, Sydney was just fantastic.
From the excellent and friendly staff to the comfort and privacy of our City-Side Room.
We thoroughly recommend upgrading to Sheraton Club access (Level 21) as the views over some of the CBD/suburbs/naval base/harbour are magnificent as is the selection of foods/beverages/wines.
We had a corner room overlooking some of the office blocks, etc, which was very well floor planned with a walk-in wardrobe/full bathroom as you walked into the room, and then a private passage way leading to the bedroom/study/lounge area.
The very central and handy location of this Hotel means that you can get across to Hyde Park by just crossing the road with major shopping outlets such as David Jones, Myers, Westfield Sydney Mall, Queen Victoria Boulevard, etc, being just minutes walk away.
Thank you to the staff of this Hotel for making our stay so comfortable and memorable - we will definitely be returning but staying longer next time!

I stayed for 1 night in a city view room,timber shutters made it impossible to take photo's,mattress was too firm and uncomfortable,linen very noisy everytime you moved and was too starchy,pillows aweful ,bath robe was like sandpaper,,room quite small,and only a lounge for child to sleep on. I got next to no sleep,and checkin was after 1500hrs,even though room was requested earlier due to being in a wheelchair.

I stayed in this hotel for one night for work. Breakfast and accommodation were prepaid two weeks prior to my arrival. Amount on Tax invoices I received when checking out is different from that showing on my credit card statement, breakfast was charged again after I left. I contacted the hotel accounts staff, they said they would contact me back, but never did...had to chase them up for the correct bills. Why do I have to spend time showing them that I have paid and they have made mistakes... Poor service, very dissapointed.

We stayed here in late December 2013, on a deal that included parking in the carpark under the hotel, and buffet breakfast for two. This is a great arrangement for people unfamiliar with Sydney, as you can leave your car and walk around, and not get charged $40 an hour for it. Breakfast was also good, excellent range for vegetarians and good signage for vegans. Hotel is properly grand, staff all very competent and the bathrooms are better than you have at home. This was our second stay on the same deal, and both were great.

Have stayed at this hotel twice in the past week and will definitely stay again. As mentioned in my previous review the staff are very warm and welcoming, the hotel is located in a very central part of the city and the rooms are very comfortable and large. Only thing that was not great on this visit was that our room was close to the lift and we could hear the lift going up and down day and night. When mentioned at check out the receptionist apologised and added a note to our membership record for next trip. Well handled.

I've stayed her a few times before and it was excellent - however recent changes have made the experience less enjoyable. Notable differences:
1. Breakfast buffet selection has shrunk (used to be more hot food options - fish, chicken and a manned egg station)
2. Executive Club Lounge members had the option of eating breakfast in the club or in the downstairs restaurant. This option has been revoked, meaning that there is no breakfast option before the club opens at 7am.
3. Other benefits that I used to enjoy seem to no longer be available (but which other 5* hotels still make available) - making my stay experience less "seamless"
4. Managers seem not to be biased to "delighting the customer", with issues taking an inordinate time to resolve, causing frustration!

This hotel exceeded all expectations. My room was spacious, clean and very elegant.
Hotel staff were polite and more than accommodating from reception to house keeping, food and beverage.
Upon arrival I was escorted to my room and half an hour of settling in I received a fruit bowl as a gift.
Level 1 Bar was stunning and very atmospheric with dim lighting and a classy Dj and Saxophone musician playing together. The cocktails were delicious.
I would definitely stay here again.

When I booked in my room was not ready, took a further one and a half hours before we got into our room, wanted suit pressed for a evening appointment, told it was not possible to have that done in under four hours, had to source a third party to do the pressing. I noticed on the laundry form there is an express service which states three hours. Had to request our bags to be bought to our room after fifteen minutes of waiting. Usually have had great experiences in the past I hope this was just an off day for the hotel.

Great location for shopping, restaurants, sight seeing. Executive Club facilities excellent, although can be difficult to find a seat in peak times eg. Saturday night. All staff went out of their way to be helpful, all had a good attitude and we were made to feel welcome. Concierge recommended great restaurants. Only criticisms - no bedroom slippers supplied. Shampoo/Conditoner needs to be upgraded (5/10). Would definitely return to this hotel.

The location is fantastic for business, most of the companies we met were within easy walking distance from the hotel. The continental breakfast buffet was excellent for both variety and quality. Definitely coming back.

Our most memorable moments at the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney was the way staff treated you. They had excellent, friendly and helpful service and were genuinely interested in hearing your comments if everything was to your satisfaction. At the current prices for Club facilities the venue was worth it, but if the cost was higher then we would have considered another hotel. Keep up the excellent work and thank you to everyone for making our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the hotel.

Stayed here for one night. Great location, easy if driving and if getting train. Right near many shops and restaurants. Great service we were treated very well. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Very clean and great shut out blinds. Would stay here again.

I have stayed here often. My latest visit has been the best experience so far. Staff were courteous and prompt in response to all my queries and requests, the breakfast buffet was excellent, my park view room was extremely comfortable and the rooftop swimming pool/spa as relaxing and enjoyable as ever. Great to see that the quality of this hotel has been maintained.

This was my husbands & I first stay at the Sheraton. We have only dined in the past.
On arrival we felt welcomed and comfortable.
Thankyou for the complimentary champagne sent to our room for my husbands 40th Birthday.
Highly recommend the couples massage and spa treatment.
Thankyou for helping make our 1st weekend getaway in 15 years special.

The staff at the Sheraton where absolutely wonderful. They accommodated a couple of custom requests in a professional manner and even went beyond the call of duty. I would recommend a stay at this hotel to anyone.

Service is slipping, no shampoo in bathroom. Letter advising of Club. Benefits put under door after 11pm, this should have been provided on arrival. Also the pillows are no where near as good as the Westin pillows.

Great value package. Wonderful breakfast. My only problem was noisy guests in adjoining room. At midnight I complained to desk and noise of stopped within five mins. Noise insulation between rooms via connecting doors was a problem.

Poor check in...not sent up to Executive lounge at first....left to walk to room on own. So no explanation of facilities had to ring and ask for room service menu, where was safe ( girl didn't know) Internet access deal. Didn't know we had to order turn down. Breakfast in Exec club terrible...bacon cold, eggs rock hard. Seriously this is not five star level. Couldn't get out of room on Sunday cause cleaner trolley and mops were in our door way...felt the staff have lost their edge.

Not received as return guest, just another number! Again request for specfic room not available, understand occasionally. Room cleaning each day after 1pm! Room not properly cleaned, towels not changed and no soap on 1 of the days. On the Sunday we arranged for a 'late' check out for Monday 8th only to have guest services ring us 11:35 Monday asking when we were checking out, clerk said request was not noted! How good is that?
Been with Sheraton rewards (we paid USD25/year) since mid 80's and since SPG has replaced the the previous program we have noticed extreme changes to the attitude of check in clerks greetings of return guests especially in the last 10 years. It is all about 'ME", they know it all, they treat you like you do not anything on registering etc in their "greeting"

I booked two rooms for one night direct with Sheraton on the Park. When I booked the rate was $179 per night yet my card was charged $394, two days later it was charged $394 again. When I rang up about the problem they said it was rectified and I was charged another $179. I rang account again and left 2 messages and did not get a return phone call. eventually the problem was fixed however it took 2 weeks and I still did not get a return call from accounts. Hotel, check and everything else was fantastic.

I have been coming to this hotel for nearly 10 years averaging over 50 nights a year and can safely say I feel part of the furniture every time im here.
I have never stayed in a room that didnt have a park view and most times I have been upgraded to one of the suites which makes my stay more enjoyable.
Hotel has also just recently completed reservations in all the rooms which has given the hotel a new look.
A signature restaurant is the only thing missing despite trying over the years to keep one open.

The hotel staff were delightful especially those on Reception and the those responsible for room cleanliness. It was good to have a smile and a willingness to help. The ability to catch the train virtually to the door was a bonus and we were in the hotel 45 minutes after we landed!
All attractions were within walking distance, even the evening shows were easy to access.
Shopping was on the doorstep..need I say anymore!!
We will stay there again and recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Sydney.
