Rated 3 out of 5 by Recent Stay Hotel bathroom is small, parking is a pain and pricey. 3 de febrero de 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Overall, good hotel I always stay at the Sheridan when visitig San Francisco both for buisiness and pleasure. On the most recent trip though when I checked out in the early morning I had to go around back to get the employee to check us out. The employee working the valet parking was in his booth when I went out to the car and had to go get my keys and pack my car with my suitcase. When I pay extra for the valet service I expect customer service. 3 de febrero de 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Smoke free hotel - Not Cigarette smoke free At 12 midnight when we arrived back in our room the smell of cigarette smoke was intense. We discovered it was coming from the vent in the bathroom. Not sure how you can solve this problem! Maybe better signage! 31 de enero de 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Security I had to call down to the front desk at 3AM to ask for security to come up to my floor because a bunch of drunk people running around knocking doors and screaming at each other. I've thought if the security going around the floors to check after 2AM then disturbed like that wouldn't happen 2 de enero de 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Left something to be desired. Hotel room while in good condition is dated. The bathroom could not have been smaller. Sound proofing inside was good but noise from the outside was terrible. Fifty-five dollars a day to park! Although the valet was prompt. 16 de diciembre de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sheraton Fisherman's warf The location is good specially if you want to enjoy the various Piers around. San Francisco is a great and easy city to walk or get around by Bart of bike. On the other hand, the permise is average. Some improvement have been made, on the outside fireplace, sitting area etc... with time but the rooms are pretty average. 26 de noviembre de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by AVERAGE The hotel rooms were not cleaned properly. I had to be moved to a different room before realizing the hotel was just overall gross! Dust & dirt everywhere... ( Heating/Cooling Unit, Windows, behind all doors/closets, LAMPS,etc.) Holes in the sheets Didn't expect this from a room that cost over $200 per night 11 de noviembre de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Dan0114 Staff should improve on recognition for SPG members. This time I did not even get bottled water in my room. 31 de octubre de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what I expected The hotel lobby bar is really nice, staff was excellent in their service. The rest of the building seemed old in need of a facelift. The room was very clean, but the bed was not as comfortable compared to what I typically get when i stay at a Sheraton. For the price of the room and the fee for parking I expected more. Location is great, close to pier 39 and all the fun tour stuff which is a plus if you do not want to do a lot of driving. 28 de octubre de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great staff but physical accomodations lacking First let me say the staff was FABULOUS! Mr. Padilla printed out conference material for me because the email that the conference organizer wasn't providing it came after I had already arrived. Everyone from the bellman to the front desk to the concierge was friendly and so very helpful. However, the facilities are tired and not very business traveler friendly. There are no nightlights nor is there a separate light for the commode compartment of the bathroom so... you either leave all the bathroom lights on at night or you stumble around in the dark, then turn on the one light switch and wake up your spouse too. The bathtub is so small I could hardly take a shower (I'm 5'2) and for my 6'2 husband it was almost a comedy. We won't even discuss the kindergartern size toilet. Let's face it - you're only there for bed and bath so if the bathroom is woefully inadequate, it matters. 25 de octubre de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location We love the fisherman's wharf area and this hotel is in a great location. Our room was clean and comfortable, but the common areas could use some sprucing up. 14 de octubre de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location, comfortable hotel Reception was initially cool, not what I am used to as a gold member. Didn't feel any recognition of my status and the number of times I have stayed with SPG. Front desk did eventually warm up and did improve on our originally assigned interior room . 19 de septiembre de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Had some issues There was a homeless man sleeping outside our door that caused a horrific odor in our room. Key cards are required to come up to room floors, so unaware of how he entered or how security cameras did not detect him. 13 de septiembre de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by staff were all amazing the staff was great. i am gold member, and i wasn't offered my upgraded room. after asking for it the following day, the staff happily obliged. the upgraded room was nice. the original room left a lot to be desired. 26 de agosto de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Value is location Good location. Full beds need upgrading to queen as they are small and uncomfortable. Very noisy at night. But for the cost and central location to wharf okay place to stay when gone all day. 10 de agosto de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very expensive No reading material featuring local sights, etc. Things added to the bill were out of sight !! San Fran has the ability to charge high fees, but seems un-american.. Lobby bar prices get near Piracy. Desk personnel were outstanding. Just an average room, and except for the location to the Wharf, not worth the money !!! Ron384 5 de agosto de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Room on small size, though location great Whilst location was fantastic the room was very small, in particular the bathroom and storage space. No free wi-fi in room which was inconvenient though it was available in lobby. Toiletries kept to a minimum and i had to ask for extra. Overall would say suitable for a couple but not for a family unless suites are available (none free for our stay) 31 de julio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sheraton has the worst staff training Check in staff NEVER told me that a $115.00 posted fee would be charged against my card. He never apologized and simply did not seam to care if he did not follow company procedures. If you choose to stay here beware and ask for a room on the fourth floor unless you like listening to creaking floor 26 de julio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not a Bad Hotel The hotel has a great location, 2 blocks from Pier 39. However, despite being a Starwood property is shows its age. The hotel rooms are a bit old, the AC looks like it's from the 80s and the roof seems to shake whenever the person above walks around their room. That said, I'd stay there agin if I was looking for proximity. 25 de julio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel is convienient We enjoyed our stay here, it's the 2nd time we stayed at this particular hotel. The only drawback was it is very noisy and can here people from street as if they are right outside your window. It is ultra modern so it's not as comfortable as I would like it, chairs in room are very stiff to sit on. Location is excellent though so for those that don't mind modern then it's great. Bathrooms are very, very small as well. 22 de julio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good but Pricey We felt this hotel was nice, but a little pricey for what we got. Room was nice but nothing exceptional. Had problems getting a cab, in fact their staff tried to get us to use one of their cars at twice the price that the cab ended up being. They actually did not seem happy about then getting us a cab, and this was the first hotel I have ever been to where the cabs where not right there waiting. 21 de julio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Guest SF As a SPG member I expected my room to be clean - not left with other people's bathroom supplies. Not sure the SPG did anything for us...room was not different than anyone. Staff was warm and friendly. Parking in the city is ridiculous and in addition to the room rates....ridiculous. 12 de julio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice room, good location...noisy. The room was clean, roomy, lots of outlets, wifi. Staff was responsive and quick. Room was noisy, could hear people upstairs and the hallway which is not good as it is a busy hotel. The place is built oddly, with many of the rooms looking out on the interior roof covered with HVAC equipment which makes more noise. 8 de julio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Close to Everything Not a bad place to stay, but not great either. AC in the room was poor, hotel is OK. Is close to everything, so once we had the car parked ($46.00 a night) we did everything else on foot. Location is very good. Not much info. available at the otel on the local places to visit, eat or... Had to venture out and find it ourselves. Hotel staff was friendly. 7 de julio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by ok stay - nothing special - good location The location for this hotel is great - it's two blocks from Pier 39 and right on the F train line. 15 walk to Alcatraz. And I found a good breakfast rate that made it reasonable - for San Francisco. Other than that, it was nothing special. The internet was spotty. The concierge gave me inaccurate directions. The breakfast was pricey but good. Room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. I didn't like ALL the pets I kept seeing - can't believe there weren't fleas in my room based on the number of dogs! Parking is expensive - we parked in the garage right next door for $35 a day instead since we weren't going to use the car at all. 3 de julio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Location Nice place to stay for business purposes. 24 de junio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Patio I was encouaged to take a balcony room, which was really just a patio below the pool. 22 de junio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 Overpriced Hotel overall is averaged. 1 de junio de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent enough, though a little off the beaten track I found the hotel to be solidly average. Definitely close to the wharf (5 minute walk) but too far from the rest of the city for what I was hoping to get. It is called Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf, though, so no false advertising there. Smallish cramped lobby/desk area, but rooms were clean and okay. Overpriced for what you get (even for San Fran). Long lines when I checked in and when I wanted to get checked out. I think it was a busy time in May, but there could have been more people working at the desk to cover the load when the hotel was obviously full. As a platinum member I was quite well-received but no mention of room upgrade (I usually get one or get notified when they don't have any available). No lounge, but they gave me a breakfast coupon for the restaurant. 23 de mayo de 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location but that's about it I spent 2 nights with my family at this hotel and took up 2 rooms. I really appreciate its strategic location, which is just 2 blocks away from Pier 39 and it has TJ, Walgreens and IHOP around it. Rooms are modern but lack refrigerator, microwave, which came standard in other Sheratons that I stayed in before. Towels provided were only two sets instead of three. No free Wi-Fi in the room (there might be in the lounge but I did not check) and parking is expensive. 14 de mayo de 2013
