Stayed for 5 nights using points. Was able to upgrade for a small fee to the club lounge. Orlando in the club lounge was great and was a pleasure to see at breakfast every morning.
The pool and hot tub were perfect! Very clean and a huge hit with us and our kids. It is more a business hotel with lots of conferences so there were not a lot of other kids, but we actually enjoyed that and having the pool all to ourselves. When we return to Toronto we will stay here again!

I am a frequent traveller and go to Toronto at least a few times a month, and no matter where my meetings take me, I will always stay at this Sheraton. It isn't the newest hotel in the bunch, but by far it is the best!! The big differentiating point for this hotel is their incredible team. From the Reservation Manager Joseph who always accomodates my last minute request to the lovely and taleneted Annissa who always greets me with a hug and a smile at the front desk, to the countless support team like Orlando in the Executive Lounge and the entire Guest and Room Service Team, and you can't forget George and Andrew and the rest of the team at Olio, the restaurant in the hotel. They are all incredible and make me feel like I am always at home. No request is to big for this incredible team that make staying at this Hotel my favorite Country wide.

Stayed at this hotel for a few times in the past. I stayed again this time in March 2014.
The hotel was swamped with some county fairs people, and lots of noises and lots of garbage.
The club lounge was adequate, and staff was friendly.
The hotel has a free airport shuttle to and from the airport. However, it runs only every 30 minutes, and it shares with the runs to another hotel. So allow time in your schedule to and from the airport.

Excellent stay at this Sheraton once again. The Front desk staff, Ken and Micheal were very welcoming and helped out with many details. Always with a smile. The dinner at Olio's was defiantely worth it. Delicious food and wonderful service from our attendant Hamilton, . Our kids can't wait to go again. Beds super comfy too!! The pool and hot tub made it feel like you were at a resrort!!Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

compared to other Sheratons this hotel has the poorest Gold lounge I have used. Poor selection is an understatement. The rooms are also very warm, even turning off the heating system does not work. opening the window vent is the only option and then you have the noise from the air traffic . The gym area is very small and cramped with small selction of equipment, no height for even a chin up bar,

Booked a last-minute get-away. Front desk staff were very welcoming depite the late hour. As Platinum guest was upgraded to a fantastic suite. Spotlessly clean; sound system with CDs; current magazines - it was the perfect place for rest. Buffet breakfast was excellent and plenty of alternate dining choices nearby. Pool is wonderful and clean. Overall, one of the best Sheratons we've stayed at.

I am always very pleased with my visit to this hotel. The staff are exceptional and are always very pleasant. The check in was quick and my visit to the lounge was excellent. Andrea and Orlando did an awesome job as host. They greeted guest with a smile and always asked if there was anything else they could do. These are model employees for SPG.

I would like to commend the management and staff at the Sheraton Toronto Airport (Dixon Rd.) Hotel and Conference Centre. I have been staying at this hotel at least once every three months for the past year and a half and have never once had any kind of a negative experience. Nothing but great things to say about the cleanliness, service and amenities.

This hotel is still called the "Airport" hotel but it is not the one in the airport. I ended booking this one by mistake because of the name. Strongly suggest that you take "airport" out of the name. Call it the Dixon Sheraton. The only one that should be called the airport Sheraton is the hotel AT the airport

Reception staff are so friendly and polite. Great recognition for platinum. Lounge breakfast fresh berries and fruit. I have a food allergy and the gentleman in the lounge at breakfast was very helpful checking for cross contamination for me. Good place to stay before or after a flight.

We booked this hotel as a convenient location for a small group meeting in April 2014. Overall, we thought it was a good choice.
- Convenient location near Toronto Pearson airport
- Club level was quiet and a good spot for meeting
- Rooms were comfortable
- Olio restaurant had great food!
- Overhead airplane noise was a bit of an issue in the rooms. Certainly, such noise is to be expected when so near to an airport, but it does take some getting used to. Airplanes start fly-bys very early in the morning, so if you are a late riser you might find this bothersome
- Food in the club lounge was just okay - nothing spectacular.

Staff friendly, room was clean, however room service could have a little bit more variety, but the Sheraton was a lifesaver due to the ice storm, and thank you again for the prompt/friendly reservation service.

I am typing this from my room and I stayed here from the 14th-15th of feb 2014 , I have stayed at several hotels under the Sheraton brand and this hotel needs massive improvement to be associated with the Sheraton brand.
I was very displeased with the entire stay from the check in lines which were extremely long because of inadequate staffing, as only one person was manning the front desk , to the semi rude day staff(night staff was pleasant).
I was mostly concerned about the room, it smelled bad, was very outdated, the air conditioner was making rattling noises both nights and the carpets seemed unheigenic and stained. I couldn't get quality sleep for both the nights.
Overall, I would sum up my experience in the quote from my title as the hotel really needs to focus on the cleanliness, maintenance and attitude of the staff, (I got the feeling that they didn't really care (and it might be because they are close to an airport so aren't in shortage of any customers).
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel at its price range unless you really can't find anything else, the Sheraton next to the airport was much better, The hotel really needs to train the staff a little bit better, as they have forgotten that they are in the hospitality industry and not the airline industry.

I have had dozens of stays at this property ove the last year or so and I keep returning because of the excellent service, Plat recognition and value. Very nice indoor pool, with several eating options available nearby. The in-house Italian restaurant is quite good, with a buffet breakfast in the morning. Athough I generally use he lounge facilities morning and evening, where the spread is among the best in North America. Friendly staff, who remember their repeat customers - especially front desk and in the lounge. I even got a personally signed Christmas Card this year! All in all, my choice of properties near YYZ, and often my choice in all of Toronto!

This was a great hotel. It was clean and quiet. Staff was nice and helpful. This hotel accepts dog to 80 lbs which is why we went there. The only thing that brought the rating down to 4 star was the Pet Welcome Package. This idea is GREAT and it is what sold us on the hotel. Only thing is that upon arrival, the package was nowhere to be found. We have to call down to request it. Once it go to the room, it was a small cushion and bowls that were way too small for an 80 lbs dog.
Solution: get package in room in advance and maintain large dog beds. Worst that can happen is that the dog will have more space. Customers will be happy!

I stayed at the Toronto Shearaton 801 Dixon on Dec 21 & on Dec 27th. I ate in the restaurant both times, ordering the same food. My first visit the seafood chowder was very good and I was happy with my 6oz filet of beef. On this visit the soup was served in an eight inch wide bowl. On my second visit, 6 days later the soup was very poor zerved in a 3 inch wide bowl, The mash potatoes and vegtables were cold.
My wife had the same soup because of my earlier experience and the same meal - she did not like the soup and hers was also cold. This is a serious problem if you want repeat customers.
PS I have reservations for two rooms Jan 27th 2013, at this same location.

This hotel clearly needs some renovating, it is sort of stuck in the 90's. Overall it feels dingy, the carpet in my room was no longer taught across the floor, the bench seat was covered in vinyl that was severely worn and ripping in some places. Overall it was not to the normal standards I expect when I am staying at a sheraton. Also it was a very expensive stay ($138 per night plus $18 tax and some other fees too) and for that there wasn't even a fridge in the room, there was an extra charge if you wanted that luxury. I was very disappointed, I have stayed at Sheraton hotels all over the US and have never had a bad experience but this one is in Canada so maybe that made the difference.

After having spent the night, my husband and I checked out and made them aware of a few "minor" problems with the room (without asking for anything in return...just making them aware). The beside lamp didn't work, the fan in the bathroom didn't work and the "complimentary" bottled water was half drank by the previous guest.
The front desk response was to immediately be defensive and try to explain to me that I was mistaken in my experience. I should have called the night before to complain about the lamp, I shouldn't expect the fan to work.
My response: I walked away.
Not your best work Sheraton.

I just wanted to thank Marco and the Chefs for helping me out with a last minute catering order. The sandwiches were excellent and were enjoyed by my clients during a business presentation.

I was at this hotel for a business function and really felt the staff went well above and beyond expectations-friendly, courtesy, helpful and happy.
Love the bed - exceptionally comfortable and the room was very clean.
The only negative comment I have is that the tile around the bath tub is starting to show its age.
The conference facilities were very comfortable (125 people) and well ventilated, the room did not get stuffy even with the doors shut.
All our meals were buffet style and were excellent quality - one of the better food service for variety, warmth of the food and flavour.
Overall a very good experience in every way and a hotel I would recommend for any company or traveller to consider.

My husband and I stayed twice on our recent trip to the Toronto area -- on our way in, and then on our way home.
Both times we were greeted warmly by Mohammed, and one of the times Jeffrey was there as well. They were both very polite, professional, and attentive to our needs. They provided a great first impression of the hotel.
The facilities overall were a bit dated (especially the bathroom), and there was a musty smell in our room. But the bed was super comfy, and the room was quiet -- which resulted in a great night's sleep both times.
We didn't eat at the hotel, but had two really nice meals at Chop Steakhouse next door.
Based on that, I'd stay there again and recommend the hotel to our friends, too.

We returned from our trip to find our vehicle buried in snow. It took an hour for my husband and some others to dig and push out ours and the others vehicles. We understand that with all the snow that this was going to happen....we are Canadian!! We did not expect that the parking lot attendant would be so unhelpful and basically leave us to it with no offer to help or provide shovels. The parking lot was not fully plowed either. It was just a frustrating way to end a vacation. The goodwill of other travellers was greatly appreciated but a little help from staff would of been nice.

We usually stay at this Sheraton whenever we are using the airport. Everytime we arrive a little more has been done to upgrade this hotel. It is obvious that this was another hotel brand before it became a Sheraton. So keeping this in mind we don't expect a glitzy hotel. What we get is great service starting with the front desk. The hotel is a little worn but is very clean, Little touches like iced lemon water in the lobby are appreciated. And the Club lounge has very fresh hot and cold canapes and often a salad which is just great after airplane food. Club Lounge breakfast is very good for this size Sheraton. Best asset to the lounge is the gentleman, Orlando who greets evryone with courtesy and a smile.
