Rated 5 out of 5 by Great location and helpful staff! The location of this hotel is great! The subway station is directly behind the hotel and the staff gave such great directions regarding the subway that I felt like a pro by the time I left. The concierge was so helpful! I basically ran down a list of everywhere I wanted to go and he mapped it out for me. There was lots of shopping just a block from the hotel as well as some inexpensive pizza/bagel places next door. Rated 5 out of 5 by Birthday Getaway We stayed for my 60th birthday. The staff at TriBeCa couldn't have been nicer. They even sent up a chocolate lava cake and ice cream to the room after we checked in. Very thoughtful. My husband had all of our adventures per planned but everyone at the hotel were ready to help or offer suggestions which I think is great for travelers unfamiliar with the city. We will stay again. Rated 1 out of 5 by BEWARE I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction with this property. I am SPG Platinum and have stayed here several times. Due to weather and a flight cancellation, I had to cancel my stay and the hotel INSISTS on charging me for my room - despite calling them hours in advance. I will go out of my way to not stay here and will make sure to tell my friends and social network contacts to avoid this property as well. February 20, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Small Rooms Booked a suite and was disappointed in the size of the room. When I inquire about the size of the hotel room differing from the description online, the staff said they hear that all the time. The second night of our stay the staff accommodated us to a new room but it was still the same size. Helpful staff but the first room was a little more worn than it should have been. Could be a solid hotel but not the best. April 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by good hotel located in a not very good Our stay was very good. Room was clean. Only flaw on the structure was the system that controls the elevators, waiting also reached 5 minutes. The location was good in terms of logistics, but not in a nice area in terms of quality. Rated 4 out of 5 by My favorite venue in NY Sheraton Tribeca is my favourite venue when stay in New York! Away from touristic area. Regarding the staff it differs a lot from one employee to the other, therefore I am always careful to ask something at reception when I recognize that the friendly and open assistants are in service. Some of the them makes you feels at home, other ones treat you as you are anonimous and not a guest of the hotel for weeks. April 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Business Hotel with Amazing Staff I've stayed at this property multiple times when in NYC and am reluctant to stay anywhere else - even if meetings require a longer drive. The staff and accommodations are great. The location is very convenient to the Financial District, as well as many great areas in mid-town. And the fact that this is a newer property is nice - the club level and work out facilities are excellent (love the roof-top deck). October 28, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect location If you are looking for a trendy "cool" hotel, this isn't it. If you are looking for a nice, clean, efficient hotel that isn't very big (i.e.: crowded with long lines) that is located in the perfect spot, then this is your place. On edge of Tribeca and Soho, with subway lines very close that can take you to the east side or west side. This place is truly situated in the perfect spot for getting around. October 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Club View You May Get in NYC The view in the club was just perfect. You could see Manhattan bridge, hudson river, empire state, etc. It's always nice to bring a soda and sit by the terrace. Service was decent, room was small but it's perfectly fine, it's in NYC. Hotel is also conveniently located above A,C,E subway station and about 2 minute walk to 1 station. Just a great place to stay. July 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Two weeks in NYC Front desk staff, doormen & housekeeping excellent. I received greetings and great service every day. Lounge bartenders, MO & Nick are very personable & overworked. Late night food was sometimes inconsistent. Hotel is well located but new staff could use tutorial on area shopping and restaurants. A concierge might help. Had a wonderful time & would stay here again! June 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hotel for the price and location If you are planning to stay downtown, the location of this hotel is perfect. Close to numerous train lines and an easy walk to Soho. Would definitely stay here again. Loved the free internet in the lobby (although free in the room would have been even better). The only complain I have is about the minimum amount of storage for clothes. Three small shelves were no enough for two people for four days. December 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Staff make the hotel Sometimes the way the staff deal with an issue gives the true measure of the hotel and on that we were more than accommodated. I was really pleased with the way Stephen resolved the issue of the club room we booked, not being available on our arrival. Stephen sorted this out expertly and made our stay very welcoming. The beds are divine and we didn't want to leave them we all had a fab nights sleep. November 30, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Staff, Super Location If you are looking for an easy, convenient, well-located and cared-for experience in Manhattan, this is the place to be. Access to the fun places in and around Manhattan is ideal, both on foot (things are close) and by subway (many lines converge within a block of the hotel) August 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great staff, great location. We were initially disappointed, as the room was smaller than we had expected for the price. However, the room was very comfortable, so we didn't mind too much. The staff were all exceptionally helpful, friendly and welcoming, so we had a general good impression of the hotel. The location was also great, being to close to Canal St subway station, and with lots of nice restaurants and cafes nearby. February 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great time in Tribeca I love staying here. The staff is great, and it is nice to be away from the huge hustle and bustle of Times Square. This hotel doesn't disappoint. The Club Level amenities are fantastic- the view! I love this location more than the Sheraton on 53rd, they are doing a great job! August 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable Hotel From check in to check out our experience was great. The room was very modern with all amenities except free WIFI. The hotel seemed to be quiet. I really didn't hear any traffic noise or an disturbances during the night from other guests. Loved the Starbucks in the room. The room was very comfortable overall. I did not eat at the hotel so I can't comment. Had a lovely stay. June 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay Thanks to the excellent staff of the Sheraton Tribeca for an excellent one week stay at your hotel. We felt as though we were home for our visit to NYC. Nice to be greeted each morning, front desk was able to handle our needs for faxes and package delivery. Our maid was the best. She kept checking with us to see if there was anything we needed. Our one little issue was resolved immediately. August 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tribeca Hotel My ten year old niece and I had a fantastic stay here from April 12th - 16th, 2014. I got a great deal from Hotwire, but they still treated us very well. They gave us access to the club lounge and free Internet. The staff was super friendly and always went out of their way to help us out and make sure our stay was perfect. The lobby area was modern yet comfortable. There was a convenient pod of computers near the front desk and bar. We loved the club lounge. They had complimentary breakfast in the morning and snacks and beverages in the evening. There were absolutely beautiful views of the city from the rooftop lounge. I always love staying downtown in NYC, and the Sheraton Tribeca was no different. You can't beat the proximity to Chinatown, Little Italy, and the Village. You also have an easy walk to three different subway stations on Canal Street. I will definitely stay here again in the future... April 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Huge room for NYC! This was a great room for our family of four. We spent only one night after dropping my daughter off at college so it was great not to have to book two rooms. The teenage kids thought it was nice also. Nice little bar for the parents to recover. All staff were very pleasanat and helpful. Not the prettiest location (Canal St.) , but convenient enough. The room had no view, but that's OK. August 23, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice staff When I got to the hotel with my son I learned that the sheraton site I booked on was for one year later. I was very disappointed as i did not catch that the screen booked me one year out. I feel they should start you in the year 2013 I know I did not request 2014. I was told the hotel was sold out so to get a room we needed to pay much more money. The hotel was not worth the new charge May 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Never received our wake up call! We put in for a wake up call the night before and never received the call! Because of this we were late for the event we needed to get to! There needs to be better communications for wake up calls!!!! We also called the valet number 45 minutes ahead as required and there was NO answer. I had to go down to the front desk and ask what was going on. June 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome terrace (Sheraton Club) I stay here quite often when I come to town. The staff is friendly, and if you get access to Sheraton Club (and the weather allows) you can sit outside on the terrace and have a lovely view uptown. The rooms are somewhat standard Sheraton rooms, and reasonably sized for Manhattan (i.e. a little small!) Also, the location is great - Tribeca - and very close to the subway. May 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by An excellent option to enjoy Manhattan The hotel is modern, staff are courteous and efficient, rooms are clean and great. The Canal St area may not be the ideal place to be with children, but for business travellers or adults is an excellent option. Its location is very good, close to the Soho and to the subway, although do not expect fancy shops or services in Canal St. I would highly recommend the hotel for everyone. February 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Clean, friendly, and purposeful As a Platinum member, I am happy to receive great benefits from many Starwood properties. I was upgraded here with a wonderful suite, and felt the club lounge's breakfast was superb, featuring eggs, terrific meats and potatoes, and a superb setting with a view of much of the city and poimts West. Terrific and caring staff completed my experience. I will be back...and right soon! January 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value Very nice, newer property. Probably one of if not the best value in the area - above average room size at a reasonable price. Easy walk to subway (A,C,E,N,R,1), Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo, or the village. Restaurant open only for breakfast, but with nearby options, this is a non-issue. Free breakfast included with more corporate rates than other US Starwood properties. September 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Glad to see improvements! The first two times I stayed were excellent, the two abominable and unacceptable. I decided to give it one more try. I'm glad I did. This stay was very good, the staff was responsive and my stay was pleasant. The lounge in the lobby is pleasant, but the furniture is stained and worn. It would help their overall appearance, which is otherwise good, to recover or replace it. March 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel is my # 1 choice of hotel in the Tribeca area. We stayed at this hotel several times during our visits to NYC over the last few years. The hotel is within walking distance to China town and to the various Tribeca famous restaurants. The front desk agents were always very friendly and helpful. The conceirge lounge is excellent. We are very happy with this hotel, it is our # 1 choice of hotel in NYC. June 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location This Sheraton property is very well positioned for those who are flying in/out of Newark. Loved it's access to Tribeca and Soho. Equally the A/C/E subway lines provided easy access to the majority of the city. I was able to make my meeting in Midtown in 20-min. with no issues even during rush hour. The exec. lounge was great and the breakfast superior to other properties. December 10, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Going downhill? We stayed at the Tribecca Sheraton about 8 months ago and loved it. This time it was just so-so. I am surprised at the positive reviews of the staff - we had quite a different experience. The lounge staff were constantly texting on their cell phones, and esepcially in the evening absent for long stretches (over an hour on the Saturday night) The gym is in desperate need of a good cleaning - the wipes to clean equipment were out for the last two days of my stay! And we had numerous issues, including our room being missed for cleaning one day (even after we called to remind them!) and our room key stopping at the regular time, despite having a late checkout. And when we went to get the key issue resolved, it was a ten minute wait because only one staff member was on. The room was still great and clean, but compared to a year ago, a much worse overall experience. We're looking at other options for our next trip to NYC, January 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great housekeeping, so-so front desk I've stayed here before, so figured I knew what to expect. Housekeeping was mostly on top of it all (just missed the complimentary bottled water on day 2 of 3). Front desk was peculiarly uninterested in me as a customer, and made sure to avoid eye contact at all hours. Strange - this didn't happen on the previous visit. Still, a good property with a great location. June 11, 2012
