the Hotel offers great features, like price, accommodations, great room, excellent service and personnel attention.
Breakfast is not up to the category of the Hotel, it need to have more options in the buffet service on Sundays.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room and bathroom were well designed and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the large shower, and good room ventilation. The only downside was a too soft mattress.

From the time we walked in the door to check in until the time we checked out (late, mind you) the staff was professional, attentive and extremely courteous. What a great hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday celebration!

I was happy with everything, except

"thing". The hotel confirmation/printout I had said complimentary drinks/appetizers. There was a $14.
limit and no drinks included.

a $10 charge for wireless is absurd. the tv remote was nonfunctional. and some idiot knocked on my door and jiggled the knob at 1 am despite (or because) of a do-not-disturb sign. the building did not appear to have stairs.

Two many kids having parties/gatherings without being supervised. Running and screaming in the halls. Between the elevator not working and tons of kids using the hallway as another room I would rethink about coming back

The staff were very helpful , especially Sean. He took the time on our drive to the train station to highlight Tarrytown and show us where to purchase our train tickets. This is above and beyond service you find today.

Beautiful property and location. Best fitness center I've found...a wide choice in equipment including kettle weights. Had a great lunch and a drink outside on the patio that evening. Room was very comfortable as well.

The staff was friendly & courteous.
The lighting in the rooms was inadequate.
It was inconvenient that there is no restaurant or room service between 2-5pm.
The buffet breakfast was inferior for the price of the meal.

We were treated like royalty when we first checked in. Because they do not maintain the club room on week ends. we were given appetizer and breakfast worth $28 each. I chose a free drink for my gold membership. They gave me an extra coupon for my husband. We sat at the bar and watched the US-Canada hockey game while we drank our drinks. The food manager made our drinks and was the delight of our stay. We chatted with him and other guests. Each time we came to the restaurant he went out of his way to make us feel welcome.
The next day we went to NYC early. The staff gave us excellent directions to the train station and the free parking there.
Then we arrived back in our room all ready to enjoy its luxury. Low and behold, no one had cleaned the room, exchanged towels, refilled the shampoo, etc. Evidently no cleaning staff had even entered. We called downstairs. They offered to send up fresh towels. We said no. Everyone knows how you put your life on hold until someone decides to show up, etc. We were exhausted and just wanted to sleep. I told the lady to tell the staff the next morning when we checked out. Those at the desk the next morning seemed clueless of the situation. (To top it off the coffee on the club level was out that morning and since they had not refilled the coffee in our room... I needed caffeine when checking out ) They FINALLY gave us 10 percent off our room. (Make sure you know your math--at first they indicated 10% would be $10. ) I re did the math for them and then all was ok. I felt bad. I feel customer service should have a remedy ready for bad service for which they were told the evening before. To me, points are a worthless remedy.
It is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting and easy to get to NYC. Thanks to the restaurant manager for making our stay special.

I am a frequent guest at the Sheraton Tarrytown and am always made to feel welcome and at home. My needs are always accommodated. It is great to be greeted by smiling familiar faces. The entire staff is wonderful.

You can actually see the dips in the bed from where the people in the past have slept, which made it hard for us to get comfortable, and the room was kind of narrow, but everything else was great!!!

I was pleasantly surprised with just how wonderful the staff was! Extra accomodating in every aspect, but I think it's because they know the hotel falls short on a few things...The club level is not at all like other sheratons. It does not have a separate enclosed space with beverages and snacks available all day, instead it is a sitting area in front of the elevator where the doors open. Hardly cozy! In additon, there is not a single ammenity within the space, no snacks or beverages or even water! What a waste of extra money for the club level. Instead, this hotel says you go to the bar area from 3-5 and order an appetizer from the bar and get a bottle of water from the "market" behind the check in desk. This is HARDLY accomodating, since with three little kids I chose the club floor so we didn't have to go up and down the elevator every time we wanted a drink. Also, I wanted a closed area for the kids to play, not by the elevators! This is not nearly as safe or convenient. But the staff is aware of this poor design and will make every effort to offer to help with drinks, snacks, etc.

Across from my room was a room where the supply of towels, sheets etc was kept. The cleaning staff woke me up with their talking, and then talked what seemed to be continually for about 45 minutes.

We had a delightful time! The accommodations were wonderful. We enjoyed our martini's before dinner and the Osso Bucco Chicken Wings were incredible. Overall, it was a great time for both of us.

My family and I made a last minute reservation at this hotel on Dec. 26, 2012 due to a snow storm and very bad traffic in the area. I think many other guests did the same and the hotel and some of its staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared to handle the volume.
My biggest concern was with the restaurant service. My family and I were ignored (as were many others after us) while waiting to be seated. None of the waitstaff or the bartender even acknowledged our presence. We were eventually seated by a member of the front desk staff who was instructed by the hotel manager to help us. After being seated the bartender came over quickly to tell us we couldn't sit there because the table had been reserved.
After I spoke with the hotel manager the bartender (again with the help of the front desk staff) was able to find and clear another table (the restaurant was not even half full) for the party with the "reservation". Service was slow from there on but the food was very good, albeit a bit overpriced in my opinion.
Unfortunately the restaurant service overshadowed what should have been a nice stay.

Was there for business and really enjoyed my room. I just wish there was a microwave and refrigerator. At this price point you would think it would be included.
