Rated 4 out of 5 by Davehfx Nice hotel wifi is expensive
I called and asked if the room came with wifi with my package, was told all rooms come with wifi, wasn't expecting to have to pay a extra $20 a night, and when traveling with children it's a must, but other than that It was what I expect from a Sheraton.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Momdee Enjoyed our stay
Very nice hotel which is very conveniently located to downtown Toronto. Beds were very, very comfortable and plush. We made one mistake...decided to eat at the hotel restaurant for breakfast....very, very pricy....thought we had 15% off and didn't read fine print (no breakfast discount)...cost us $50 for 2 people...Pool was beautiful. We would stay at your hotel for sure on our next visit.
Rated 4 out of 5 by PattyMarie Fix the TV in Room 4224!
This is my 2nd time staying here where the TV did not work. It is frustrating and an inconvenience if I want to catch up on a specific show.
Rated 4 out of 5 by DivaGG Great hotel but starting to show its age
I used to stay here often but haven't in quite awhile. Location is great and Marilyn at the front desk was an absolute rock star. Super helpful and went above and beyond. Big kudos!! Considering there were a couple of elevators down due to the technician's strike, I never had to wait long which was great. Also a special thank you to Housekeeping who found the shirt I had left there. Excellent excellent service.
The only issues I had were the following:
* The AC unit in the room was behind the drapes so I had to choose open window with AC which didn't cool the room down or closed drapes with bottles of water holding the drapes away from the unit.
*I had requested a fan in the mid afternoon but only received it after a second call that evening. Room never was cooler than 24.5
Staff was very pleasant as they have always been but the hotel is starting to show its age. I just can't help but feel that it's past its prime. Not sure if any renos to the rooms are being considered but hope so.
Rated 4 out of 5 by DickFL Some Bumpy Nights at Sheraton Centre Toronto
The hotel is lovely and located in a very convenient part of Toronto. However, on this stay, there were many college age students and they were partying all through the night, yelling in the halls at 3am on two consecutive nights. We also had a fire alarm go off on two consecutive days--one at 1am in the morning--both false alarms. Perhaps they were connected with the partying students.
Staff, however, were very nice about everything and discounted the bill because of the problems
Rated 4 out of 5 by Laura04 Some improvements needed
Here you have some comments trying to help improving guests stay:
1. My room was next to the elevators and was quite noisy.
2. At 4:30h the alarm clock started to ring and woke me up. It seems the previous guest left it like this and the service room didn't switch it of. I came from Europe and it was impossible to sleep again because of the jet lack.
3. On Saturday night someone on the next room was having a party until 5am. I saw them bringing beers on the elevator, etc.
4. The bath water tap couldn't be turned off, so the water was dropping all night with the consequent waste of water.
5. When I checked in the lady didn't inform me about Internet connection, breakfast nor offered a map of the city.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tara26 Pool Area Reno
This was my third time at Sheraton Toronto, and enjoyed my stay-cation, however, I was very disappointed that the pool area was reduced due to outside cleaning.
The pool bar and music are fabulous and was upset when we arrived to the pool to find them blocked off and unavailable.
Room service was available by the pool however was incredibly expensive.
Hopefully the pool area was just shut for a short period, as I am hoping to come again to try and have the experience my husband and I were going for.
Rated 4 out of 5 by dzaek poor check out service
While I enjoyed the stay at the Sheraton, I was sadly disappointed to spend 25 minutes in line to check out. Since the hotel did not leave an invoice under my door for me to look over, I had to wait in line to settle the bill and make sure it was correct. Spending 25 minutes in line was not an enjoyable experience and the bank of empty computers only a few feet away suggested the problem was likely a staff shortage. I did not expect this to be the case and will relay this message to anyone who asks about the hotel and their services.

Very noisy room beside the ice machine, and vending machine.
Rated 4 out of 5 by wobbler great location
We spent two nights and took our daughter and son-in-law with us for her birthday and fathers day event. The best thing is the location since we didn't have to use the car at all to attend The Wizard of Oz. My complaint is that the concierge/info desk always had a line, the staff had to stand the whole time, and the City Sightseeing bus was extremely uncomfortable as the seats were torn, the rain was leaking through the windows on us, and you could not see out the windows at all. The tour guide was knowledgeable, but speaker system was almost inaudible.
After coming home from a wet, wet bus ride on something the concierge recommended, our room had NO HOT WATER. There was no announcement to the guests that this had happened. We tried to clean up as best we could for the play that night. Also, our curtain had many rips in it - very unappealing.
On the positive side, although it is a huge, old facility, the air-conditioning is top notch, the elevators to the Queen tower are quick, and it is relatively quiet considering it is a busy downtown location. I have to complain about something else: we had no explanation on where the ice machine was, what to see in the city, or where to eat. It was the first time we had been to Toronto and I think it will be the last time...way too crowded. This seems like a good hotel for conferences and big groups, but not very intimate for couples.
Rated 4 out of 5 by linuxgirl9 Excelllent
There were computers and ideas of tours availble to me. I thought that was excellent so that we could go to the much music concert. I feel like I was in luxury the whole time.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stevie2013 great hotel, location was great
spg recognition was superb, Carol took care of recognizing our platinum status and gave us a great suite. One major downside was the AC in room 4033. We called four times about this and finally our last night, we were brought fans but still wasn't too helpful. Technicians did come up but the ac was never fixed. Concierge was fantastic, club lounge was the best we have every been to.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Gyller Central and great value
Central, everything you need in walking distance
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nick Bumps in the Road- but handled very well.
I recently spent 3 days at this hotel while in town on business, and there were some minor issues but they were handled quite well.
Their computer system had crashed for quite a long time on 6/5, and the staff was scrambling to handle EVERYTHING manually- quite a daunting task, especially given the number of people checking in for varios conferences et al.
For some reason, my room keys would not let me into my room (they had worked fine the day before and earlier that morning) and after a long wait- understandable given the circumstances- they were re-coded and I went back up to my room....where they STILL would not work. Seeing me back in the line again and getting somewhat agitated, Semir (Front Desk) pulled me out of line, walked me back to their office, re-coded the room keys, and personally escorted me to my room where he himself checked them and used them to grant me access to my room. Given the chaos, this act was greatly appreciated. Later in the day, I came down to inquire about selecting the 'Green Choice' as this was not offered to me during my check-in. As Steven was handling this, I inquired about my SPG balance, and he noticed something peculiar about the point total. He called the SPG line right there, worked this out with the rep on the phone, and it was handled effectively and immediately.
Like I said- there were a few items that arose, but the way that they were handled confirmed my confidence in the hotel staff, and if Steven and Semir are available for any recognition from management, I would wholeheartedly support such recognition.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Swoop great location
The only issue we experienced was the number of elevators out of service. I dont know how many times I experienced long lineups at the elevator with 2 elevators being out of service. That was my only bad experience.
Rated 4 out of 5 by jtworldwide Nice property -- Great location
This is a nice hotel for anyone doing business or enjoying downtown Toronto.
Rated 4 out of 5 by NHPete Very nice but they made a mistake
The facility is very nice, absolutely. The room was clean and well appointed, a good value for the dollar.
But someone decided to do away with the guest book that provides important stuff like the TV station guide and the restaurant menu. Instead, the guest is expected to wait while a channel that has the schedule slowly scrolls through 3 or 4 channels at a time. All that I wanted to know was - what channel is HBO (it isn't, by the way) and ESPN. I finally asked for and received a photocopied station guide. In 10 seconds I had my answer - after wasting 10 minutes!
Likewise, the restaurant menu is on the TV. So you have to wait for the GM's welcome message to change, then wait for the amenities listing to change before seeing the restaurant menu - which then flashes on the screen! How can the guest make a choice when the menu quickly goes away? This should have been on a web page that can be accessed from the TV or - better yet - bring back the hotel services guide!
Rated 4 out of 5 Good, but needs specific improvements
The rooms and service staff for rooms were exemplary.
The internet, whether wi-fi or wired, requiring constant logging in and verfication was tiresome, annoying and unnecessary.
Service in the bar/restaurant was not up to minimum standards -- wait times, dealing with customers, dismissive of customers;
check-in was awful -- a convention, plus several other big meetings, and only one desk used.
billing at check-out did not make clear what the Destination Marketing Program was, nor why is was downloaded onto me.
Nachos were a greasy mess.
Rated 4 out of 5 by JAAR Watch out for SPG Options
Good hotel but front desk needs training. Long lines and lack of full understanding of SPG amenities exist.

Heating thermostat was broken. Otherwise this is a very good hotel
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lindsay157 Very good staff
We had a weekend bachelorette planned and three blocks from the hotel we got in an accident. We didn't try to use this to our advantage at the front desk or anything but the staff were so sweet and upgraded us to a suite, accommodated every specific request we had and even sent us up some wine with a nice note to have a better weekend!
The rooms were great, hotel was beautiful and up to date. RIGHT beside the Eaton Center so look out to those husbands that don't want to go shopping. Room prices were competitive and reasonable for downtown. Wasn't too hard to drive to either.
Highly recommend this hotel. Enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nelly71 Great Downtown stay
This hotel was a hotel that was reasonable priced for downtown Toronto. We walked to two different Jays game and the Hockey Hall of Fame. Everything is in a reasonable walking distance and the staff is friendly and knowledgable when needed.
Rated 4 out of 5 by RMEBrown Great Hotel Except......
Hotel is great, staff is great, executive lounge is great, location is great.
The mold and mildew in my room around Air Conditioner, NOT SO GREAT!
Noise from Elevator wasn't so good either.
Overall, a really nice stay! Perhaps I just had a bad room.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Kathryn60 Comfortable stay, poor restaurant value
Our recent stay at the Sheraton Centre was very comfortable. The rooms were clean, although they were not ready when we arrived. Because of this, we were given a discount coupon for the BB restaurant. The food there is very overpriced. . $17 burgers, both chicken and veggie, came with pre-prepared, probably frozen patties, that were very small and tasteless. The veggie one in particular was mostly rice and corn. I would not eat here again despite a discount.
Rated 4 out of 5 Overall ok
Room was comfortable but had issues with vent and tub - both solved and with a smile by the maintenance worker. Room not made up one day which was annoying but the housekeepers came right up to give fresh towels. Great location, ok experience.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Disappointed2012June Needs some updating
This hotel overall is very good and in the process of updating. New locker rooms in the gym/pool area are great. The new restaurant in the lobby is also very good.
The furniture in the lounge is very disappointing, there are many chairs where the foam is showing through.
Rated 4 out of 5 by DJ32 Wonderful staff
I have stayed at this hotel for years. The staff are excellent, especially the lounge staff on the 43rd floor, and go out of their way to care for their guests. The location is great.
