First, the good news. Without exception, the staff at the Sheraton Lisboa were friendly, courteous and helpful. They were the reason for my "Good" rating. The room itself is another matter. While "attractive" in a modernist way, it has the worst bathroom arrangement that I have ever encountered in 50+ years of traveling. Why would anyone in their right mind think that a glass-enclosed bathroom (with glass doors of course) was a good idea?? One of the glass walls is right next to one of the beds in the room, so if you are into either voyerism or exhibitionism, this is the room for you. To make matters worse, the blinds that are embedded between two layers of glass in this clear wall would not go up and down - and they couldn't be fixed without taking out the glass wall. We were moved to a second room. Here the blinds did go up and down, but the slats continually opened and closed. It took five minutes to get them mostly closed. While there was a nice, big shower-head, turning on the shower became a challenge in trying to figure out the right combination of the two knobs that were required to control the temperature and direction of the water (tub or shower). Why can't bathroom designers just keep things simple? You shouldn't need to be an engineer to take a shower. And the towel rack that hangs from the ceiling at the back of the tub was actually pulling out from its ceiling mounts, ready to fall out on some unsuspecting guest in the future. And the "closets" in the room were actually spaces with hanging rods that were hidden behind brown curtains (no doors) that darkened the whole feeling of the room. Also, other than the mirror in the bathroom, there were no other mirrors in the room. Whoever designed this room, should have their architect's/decorator's license stripped from them. Oh, and speaking of the desgn of the hotel, there is a ferocious wind tunnel effect at the main entry. Any wind is magnified many times, so that it is often dificult to open close the hotel doors and even doors to cabs. The Sheraton should send a secret evaluator to take a look at the really dumb design flaws inthe Sheraton Lisboa.

Nice hotel - centrally located and close to everything.
Rated 4 out of 5 by ruijorge64 My preferred hotel in Lisbon
This is my preferred hotel in Lisbon, because of the location, comfort and facilities.
My suggestion: please introduce free wireless internet in the room for SPG´s.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tim409 Excellent Business Hotel
After arriving on the red-eye from the U.S. very early, the desk clerk informed me my suite was not ready. He paused, spoke to a manager, and managed to "find" a suite that was ready. This was a great comfort and indicated this staff cared about me. My suite on the 24th floor was excellent--with fantastic views. The modern style and design was quite a pleasant surprise, as the hotel appeared a bit dated on the outside. Service and facilities were excellent. The Spa was great. Panorama restaurant should not be missed. Location is not great for tourists, but the Sheraton was great!
Rated 4 out of 5 by KrishUSA Great views from the top
Good Lisbon location, great if you're a consulting firm - KPMG, DeLoitte are all within walking distance. Check in process was below par based on my experiences at other Sheraton and similar European hotels. As alway, staff was professional, room was well equipped and hotel amenities were top shelf.
Rated 4 out of 5 by darch1 Great status recognition
I booked a high floor room and received a 19th floor (out of 25) room overlooking the Tajo river and Christ statue. At check in the lady told me that she could see that I was a former platinum member and although the hotel was fully booked I received lounge access! That was nice. The room is large, the king size bed very comfortable and I loved the glass walled bath room from where I could see the Bang & Olufsen TV!

This property has been upgraded since my last visit. They've done an amazing job! Exclusive SPG Floor, cool avant gaurd decor throughout and rooms that are conducive to rest with great beds and fantastic electronic black out blinds.
Rated 4 out of 5 by efim What I didn't like
Fee for swimming pool and internet !?
I can't comprehend that!
Good that there's no additional fee for usage of the elevator; tv etc!
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cindy23 Sheraton Lisboa
Hotel was advertised as being centally located. It is not! We were very disappointed that we had to pay 12 euros to sit in the sun at the pool. That is ridiculous! I was told that the reason is that it's a business hotel and that's how they keep the room price down. Huh???
We stayed on the club level which was fabulous with food, drinks and staff. Nomu was extremely pleasant and helpful. Another problem with 2 computers as printer didn't work and we couldn't print out our boarding passes---and this is a business hotel?! Took hours to fix the situation.

Really enjoyed SPA treatments
Rated 4 out of 5 by EAA1947 Nice Hotel well located
This is a nice Sheraton property. We were somewhat disappointed as we were not given an upgrade and this is despite my pointing out that I was an SPG Gold Member. Otherwise staff is excellent an the breakfast is very good. The WiFI needs a lot of improvement as it is too slow and frequently cuts out often one has to wait for hours before the wifi come-on again. Club Lounge is very good and open for a cup of coffee until quite late.
Rated 4 out of 5 by SP2652 Comfortable and friendly staff
The staff were very helpful in all requests. The rooms are comfortable, nice amenities, and quiet. Housecleaning staff were excellent. Location is convenient and there are nice quaint local restaurants in the area
Rated 4 out of 5 by MajorBJ Great but not 5 star
Having stayed in many Sheratons and Westins i would not rate this as one of my best or favourites. The rooms are great sure! But, you still only get paper cups for your coffee and Nescafe. Also my TV didn't work very well the whole time I was there, even after technicians tried to fix it.
My in house laundry was still soapy when i put them on after paying e$12.50 for one item.
I eat at the restaurant twice and both times i received very poor service, actually extremely poor service!
I drank in both bars are these were fine.
In summary it was good but not great.
Rated 4 out of 5 by brit85 Very nicely renovated hotel
This hotel is very modern with great finishes in the rooms. I loved the redone bathroom which looked out onto the room and view of Lisbon. Very very nice gym and spa. Overall one of the nicest Sheratons I've been too. The club lounge was also great with wonderful staff. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the tour the concierge recommended was not worth the money charged. I was very disappointed by the tour and would have rather booked something on my own but figured he knew the area better. It was clear this was a group the hotel partners with but the tour company was mediocre. Also, they didn't give an SPG platinum welcome gift which is usually standard (but still gave me an excellent room which made up for that). I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others! Also, the location is just around the corner from a metro stop so very accessible to everything in the area!
Rated 3 out of 5 by DomCarlos1 Appalling welcome
I cannot believe how unfriendly the receptionist was when I arrived. I have stayed with you many times in the past and to have no recognition of that was unacceptable.
The plain fact is that the only thing that is good about the hotel is the mattress and the view upstairs. Breakfast is dreary beyond belief, the restaurant food was stone cold and dull, so if you cannot even get the welcome right then that is really bad.
Also I find it really irritating that you charge extra for the spa.
Sadly after many years of unnoticed loyalty to your hotel I started to examine alternatives for my next trip..

Hotel room was missing slippers and gowns. Need to calll.
TV remote was not functional. Finally had to call. Tech person came and figured out that the batteries were dead. he need to go back to get the batteries.
Slow service at Breakfast. Fried eggs came by the time I finished the breakfast.

Reception staff not very friendly in the day time but night staff was great.
Beautiful view from panorama restaurant on top floor of the hotel. Great attentive restaurant staff in this panorama restaurant.
Rooms are very modern which is nice and minimalistic, but did not like the dark brown carpet, made the small room feel even more cramped. We had a great view of the April 25th Bridge and the Christ Monument from our room which was a delight to wake up to every morning!!
The only reason I would not recommend this hotel is its location in Lisboa. We did not like the location of this hotel because did not feel safe around the immediate vicinity .
Rated 3 out of 5 by lambie Disappointment
telephone did not work, blinds in bathroom did not work and 2 requests to fix, payment for wifi, payment for access to swimming pool at Gold status staying on Club Floor! Staff attitude very good, views from 24 and 25/F stunning but some trek to old town.
Rated 3 out of 5 by tourist12 Tourists are being taken advantage of....
Noted, most tourist areas are more expensive, but this location really takes advantage of tourists. For example:
In the hotel
6 Euros for a regular can of coke
5 Euros for a small coffee
Hotel doesn't tell you they're charging you 1Euro per night for charity contribution.
We were completely overcharged at a restaurant the hotel reccomended, including a surcharge for the bread, olives and cheese they had on the table when we arrived- 15 Euros!!!!!
10 min taxi the hotel called was 20 Euros-10 min ride!!
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mickew Suprised
A very nice hotel in a beautiful and central area of Lisboa.
The only thing that bothers me and kind of got me annoyed was the Fee for the pool area and for the wireless.
Paying €240/night and still need to pay €25 and €19 for pool and internet is anoying enough.
Next time in Lisboa I will choose another hotel for sure.
Rated 3 out of 5 by lisbonspg u get what u pay for
the old adage holds true for this hotel, for sure the weakest in the starwood chain. I wondered why this hotel was so cheap, now i know. ripped towels, broken toilet seat, poor reception on tv, and waking up and noticing speckles of i dont know what on the lampshades. And internet, after paying twenty euros it i have to reboot my smart phone every time i want access. My expectations of a starwood property are high, and this hotel does not cut it.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mac73 Most of the front desk staff below average
I rarely see such an obvious lack of interest and enthusiasm from the front desk; with one exception they will do only absolute minimum or less for you - that's the message I have received during my recent staying.
Coffee at the lobby - very, very poor and scandalously overpriced - 10 Euros for something called "double espresso" - the quality of this liquid was below any reasonable standard.
The rooms are very nice, modern and comfortable.
They charge for access to the pool - even if you are Gold card holder; something I rarely see in other hotels .
Rated 3 out of 5 More light!
Diabolical lighting system, as in many modern hotels that are over-engineered. Takes you 10 minutes to figure out how it all works - only to discover that the bedside lamp simply doesn't work no matter how many switches you press. Quite enfuriating. Was only staying one night so didn't bother calling the "engineer".
Rated 3 out of 5 by sharon ups and downs
I do like this hotel - it is comfortable and has a very nice gym and spa. The staff ar also very considerate and helpful. High marks.
Negatives would be that I think the quality of the roomservice food has gone down. (I've stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years.) And in the last 2 rooms I was in, the blinds between the bath and main room have not worked, nor the bathroom speaker.
The addition of bedside lights so that there is enough light to read would also be helpful.
Rated 3 out of 5 by LADave Expected more from a Sheraton hotel.
No free wifi in room or lobby. Must use their computers for Internet access. Pool is part of the spa and costed 12 euros per day. Room was comfortable and clean. Location is great.
Rated 3 out of 5 by baklajan4ik Bad experience
Max evaluation for this hotel is 3*
shadow at the bathroom is out of order
giant hole in the towel
no free wi-fi
they use big pillowcases for small pillows (it looks really weird)
Staff is the only thing that pleased us
Do not meet my expectations at all! That's sad!

Good Location. Walking Distance to Down town.
Rated 3 out of 5 by mayfairmike1 too much group business
Disappointed that Gold Level SPG did not even get me a room on the side with the best views. Also disappointed that at the time of our stay it appeared as if every Tupperware saleslady in Portugal was also in the hotel. Catering to such large groups inevitably detracts from the general level of amenity and service.
Rated 3 out of 5 by ginpro61 housekeeping needs improvement
1. dirty socks from previous guests found on the top shelf of the closet
2. old tea bag (dried out) in the electric water kettle
3. coffee cups present on first day of stay and never replaced for the remainder of our 3 night stay / requested for some from housekeeping and were brought glasses instead...
4. disappointed not to have been 'qualified' to stay in the Club Floor. A few years back we booked our son and friend there and they had a room on the +20th (22nd I think) floor. Seems being a Gold member is not good enough for Club anymore?
5. and like many, many hotels, this one does not offer free wi-fi in the rooms.
Rated 2 out of 5 by rocpest Unacceptable conditions for a Sheraton
Worst experience in a 5 stars hotel. Very nice decoration of the hotel... poor cleanliness. 18 euro a day for wifi doesn't help to make you feel welcome either.
The room had a huge dark stain all over the carpet from the entrance, bathroom and near the bed, most likely a flood not properly cleaned. The room had no slippers (barefoot over the stain? no way!). Staff mentioned that slippers and bathrobe only where provided on request.
Some channels on the TV flickered.
Before taking a shower we open the faucet and a black powder came from the water creating a black stain over the tub.
We changed rooms (one with slippers) but also with a stain in the carpet (not as big as the previous one)... after a whole day outside we just crashed...
