Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel was a great place to stay This hotel was a great place to stay. They upgraded me because I was a spg memeber. Explained my benefits to me and gave me options. Room service is a little expensive but the staff was very friendly. Concier was always willing to help and giving us advise as to where to eat what to see. Great Hotel January 3, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Faded Glory? I have to confess that I didn't take up the option at arrival of paying an extra £40 for an upgrade so I ended up in a non-refurbished room. It was /very/ tired looking but I won't dwell on that because I knew it wouldn't be refurbished. But for anyone else booking one of these rooms, just be aware that you're very much stepping back in faded time if my experience is anything to go by. What did disappoint me was I asked for a cool quiet room. It was certainly quiet until I switched the aircon on to try as best I could to get the high temperature down. It wasn't until morning that I was advised by the receptionist that the room aircon didn't work in the older rooms - temperature was now all centrally controlled :( So cool/quiet doesn't seem to be a combination available in the older rooms. Buyer beware... Breakfast was good and restaurant staff were very attentive. I'd still recommend it but purely on the basis that the price I paid was less than some 3 star hotels in this part of town December 1, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by we had a most enjoyable stay at the Park Land The hotel is in a great location near a tube stop and Green Park. The staff recognized my starwood level and we received a room upgrade to a suite. The staff was very attentive and we had a lovely time having high tea in the Palm Court restaurant. There was a harpist who played during the tea. February 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved this Hotel We stayed for only 1 night, but would definitely come back. The location was perfect, and the "old world" ambiance the perfect touch. As always, beds were comfortable, and all services as you would expect - stellar. When we come back to London, we will definitely stay at the Park Lane again. June 11, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Need a lot of improvement!!! The air conditioner is very noisy which affect my ability to sleep. Despite my numerous requests and my Platinum membership, the hotel refused to change or upgrade me to another room that has no such problem. My two nights stay become a nightmare for me and I checked out totally exhausted!!! October 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely hotel Very nice overnight stay. The only concern was the bathroom which was a littkle cramped making the bath difficukt to get in and out of. This would be a problem for someone who was not aguile. However, every expectation was met bearing in mind the small price we paid for a room in a 5* hotel. January 24, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not meet minimum standards I stayed in room 157. It is down a long corridor away from the main area. It is very dark and the low wattage lamps did not help. The room dates from the 50s or 60s and does not meet any business traveler's standards. Ithe staff were gracious but I was told there was no other room available September 2, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not exactly value for money After moving rooms twice the reception manager kindly offered to upgrade me to a quiet studio suite with a view. I am an SPG member and was staying for 8 days so felt I deserved it after being allocated two noisy rooms with no hot water and no view. By the third day the studio suite sufficed nicely but ...nowhere to plug in hairdryer except right by the door. The phone buttons don't work so phones should be upgraded - how would I know to dial 7001 to get messages - there's a button for that but it doesn't work. The water power in the shower was not good. There could be a blackout blind on the windows - the curtains let the light in. Only 2 radio stations available - no BBC stations and lengthy process to get to TV channels. The lounge was not always available because it gets booked out so there's often nowhere to get a snack in the daytime. On the positive side, the bed however was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were spacious. Breakfast is very good and staff are excellent in Bracewells. March 4, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by poor service and ill-equipped facilities really disappointed with the poor service and lack of facilities. staff not helpful at all. old hotel lacking the character for a building this age. the charges for internet and breakfast were ridiculously high. not particularly close to the main streets and attractions. Was put in a very small smoking room (had requested nonsmoking when reservation made). Moved at my request to a small dirty room & had to request another room. When checked in was not recognized a spg member. May 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smashin' Hotel Location great. Breakfast great. Cocktail bar and harpist absolutely fantastic. All staff very nice and welcoming. room beautiful (suite 548 I think) - only negative was that the air conditioning didn't work properly (warm air when it should have been cold, and the knobs not working). The room was a very long walk from the elevator and there was only a single easily available plug with which to charge cell phones and computers September 1, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Location but shows it's age. Good location. Walk or short bus to many sites/attractions. Comfy beds. Could do with sprucing up - looking very worn. Strong smell of smoke in the hallway but thankfully not in the room. Service was fine but not what we have come to know and appreciate from other Starwood hotels. June 6, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel needs improvement Either we got the worst room in the hotel or the standard is much lower than I expected from a Sheraton hotel. The only thing that came up to my expectactions was the bed and localization. Otherwise the room was just an avarage room with an awful view (or actually no view at all). October 30, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Stay at Park Lane Sheraton, London i asked for bottle of water and it took almost 30 minutes to get it. The remote control for the TV was not in the room and it also took about 20 minutes to get one. The bath room was outdated and was very cold as the cold air from the outside was getting in into the bath room. December 14, 2011

Unfortunately room was old and tired, but the bathroom was the biggest disappointment. I wouldn't expect this standard in a 2 star. Had an enjoyable stay but would think twice about returning. Despite being well located and having a very good breakfast selection, the room was tacky and requires a lot of improvement. April 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by great location we stayed at Thanksgiving, and were allocated a Classic room as no 'upgrades' were available. It was very tired, small and the bathroom needed a remodel. The location is great and an easy walk to Harrods. No club lounge. A comfy bed but woken up by the 'bottle collection'. November 27, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic family stay - great rooms and a great team We just completed an excellent six-night stay at the Park Lane hotel as a family of 5. The property was excellent and accommodated us with large, nicely-appointed connecting rooms. It was a perfect combination of space, modernity and privacy for a larger family - unusual in central London. The staff were exceptional. The GM, Kieran, worked with us in advance to ensure our room needs were met, making specific recommendations that were proved very useful. Housekeeping helped us with an unfortunate incident with our daughter. The excellent concierge team helped us do everything from mail a letter to make reservations for us. The location is an obvious advantage. It was wonderful to be able to walk out of the hotel and hit Green Park in one direction and Shepherd Market in the other. Overall, we had great rooms and a great stay. Lastly, a word about the breakfast buffet. It's one of the best we have experienced in our travels, full of fresh and healthy options as well as an excellent Full English. We will return. April 13, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel need management skill Stayed at 8/29/12 for 3 nights, not feel comfoprtable the date we walked into the hotel, no doorman to help our luggage, the check in counter located a little corner and the room was big but old & smelly, only good think about this hotel is the Central location of LONDON September 12, 2012

It was centrally located, close to shops, restaurants, theaters, etc. Staff especially, concierge was extremely helpful and courteous. Room was on the street / noisy side and should be refurbished. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Staff All of the staff encountered were great. Stuart in the conceriege area was very helpful before our cruise to London and while we were there. The front desk staff were all cheerful and easy to deal with. Room was large and the bath was great, especially the towel warmer. May 18, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Avoid this hotel! This hotel has not seen any renovation in who knows how long. The room was small and cramped - you could even open the bathroom door without hitting the bed. The nightstand kept you from pulling out the desk chair. The elevator didn't work for entire time i was there. July 1, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Starwood hotel I have stayed at Staff was unfriendly, and the hotel did not have the heat turned on the rooms "because it was still mild" but it was 44 degrees at night! The rooms and hotel were nothing like the web site. I travel 3 weeks out of the month and this is the worst hotel I have stayed at. October 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by A pleasant stay Expectations are always high at this class of hotel and the Park Lane does not let you down. Having said that I do find the rooms a little on the small side and having to ask for tea/coffee making equipment is a bit of a pain. Overall though a highly recommended hotel. October 11, 2012

I emailed the hotel before my stay asking for a coffee Pot and hair dryer be in the room, I was told to ask at checkin- I thought I had just ask? Needless to say I did not get either during the 2 days I was there. Location was great!!!! August 2, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by gone down since last time. The quality of tea and breakfast buffet was extremely disappointing. The hotel is in a nice location, which is why we stayed there again. (This trip had been our second to the hotel) Compared to our previous trip however this visit wasn't nearly as good as the last. September 4, 2012

Concierge was very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. Location is terrific. Rooms may be small but I would definitely stay there again. July 14, 2013

The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and all the modern amenities. The hotel staff are friendly and courteous. The beauty of this stay is the old world experiences on offer.
