Rated 3 out of 5 by Atlanta Sheraton Galleria, September 2013 No frills property, reasonable prices and close to downtown if you are driving. Staff was friendly; they recognized my status at check in. This location was more than suitable for business travel. There is a mall across the street, 1000 feet (give or take) with numerous restaurants. The food at the hotel is pretty weak. I have stayed at this location 3 times in the past year. With that said, I would not consider this for either family or romantic travel. March 1, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Double charges, and dirty laundry Check in was pleasant and smooth. But I found out when walking into my room, suite means you have your room split into smaller rooms - it speaks nothing to the quality of the accommodation. This hotel had the most annoying tv system I've ever seen, consistently switching from regular tv to the "pay us even more" menu options. I received WiFI, which was stated to be $X.xx per room per day. When receiving my bill I was charged for each device, which was NOT as it was advertised on the signup form accessed through the browser (which I only had to do once, not for both devices). Lastly, I noticed during my shower that there were dirty towels in my bathroom, that didn't belong to me. Ew. Upon checkout the clerk at the front desk obviously didn't care about my concerns, and I honestly don't think he even looked in my general direction. May 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very accomodating!! Everything was great! I brought friends for a women's event and they were very impressed with our accomodations. I love that as an SPG member we get special treatment. And of course with being with ladies we liked having the mall at our back door!! I especially want to thank Tristen for being so helpful when I requested by phone a late checkout. That was wonderful!! I have nothing but good things to say. I would defininately stay there again if needed. June 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the Sheraton Brand For those that love the Sheraton brand as I do the Sheraton Suites Galleria in Atlanta will not disappoint. It is located in a great area (right next to cumberland mall) other shops just right up the street. Theu are finishing up a update to the hotel adn the room are beautiful. You just can't miss staying here. August 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Pricey I was very disappointed to find out wifi is NOT complimentary. Sheets were not in the room for the pull out sofa bed. I had to call twice to get a top sheet and a fitted sheet. When the security guard came to bring the top sheet, he was rude. TV did not have some of the standard channels and parking was pricey considering the price of the room. Location was great for the Cobb Galleria, but service and amenities are not what was expected for the price. March 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Weekend Getaway This was a nice hotel for a quick stay for the weekend. It was walking distance to the Cumberland Mall. In addition to that there is a great deal of entertainment and dining facilities to include Cheescake Factory, P.F. Changs, Maggiano's, etc. The price for parking per day is $8.00 and the internet is $9.95 per day. The pool isnt that big but if youre trying to get a quick swim done it will work for you. The room was indeed comfortable and spacious. November 7, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Will never stay here again Upon check in and getting to our room, we learned that they were doing renovations, so there was constant drilling, to the point where we couldn't even watch TV or get rest after our drive there. I would think that if there are renovations going on, the hotel should at least notify you before your trip. When we asked about it, there was no offer to move us to another room, where it might not be as loud. Also, the bathroom had an area where the wallpaper was coming away from the wall and you could see mold collecting there. I also think it should be more clear, when making reservations, the amenities that you have to pay for. I have never stayed anywhere that charged extra for parking and did not offer free in-room Internet access. I think it is ridiculous that a hotel ranked as highly as the Sheraton, would charge for these basic things. February 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Almost always a great place to stay until I travel quite a bit for business and have to come to Atlanta quite often, love to stay at thsi hotel, it's clean, close to everything, the rooms are perfect size, bed comfortable etc. I stayed last week and the staff was not as accomodating as they usually are, tried to check in at 2:45 and there were no rooms available the internet did not work in my room at all (5 days), door was broke couldn't, changed rooms, bill wrong, SPG points not added September 5, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed We chose this location for a recent trip as we like the location & this was one of our favorite hotels in the past. However, the Galleria was below par on this visit. The revolving door at the front was broken, we had whole sections of wallpaper falling off the wall and both sets of shears on the windows were torn. This is not the level of quality we are accustomed to as Starwood owners. It looked like the room had been a site for a frat party. December 19, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by bugs in the bed!!!!!! Everything was great until we went to bed. I don't know if this hotel allows pets however, I awoke in the middle of the night itching like crazy. I had very small ticks about 10 attached to me and I think a lot of flea bites. As far as we could tell this was only in the bed. We moved to the pull out sofa bed and that was fine. As much as we love the Starwood brand we will never stay here again. Room number 1017 needs to be treated. May 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pleasantly Surprised We stayed here for a night out and were so pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel, room and staff were for the price that we are already planning on coming back for our next date night!! The rooms were more than comfortable and clean and the staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable! We travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels and would say this is one of the best places we have stayed and you can't beat the price!! December 19, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by The best of times the worst of times. People vs. Gym. The hotel is a typical Sheraton, however, it is on the tired side of these facilities. The hotel personnel were top notch. Friendly, helpful, proactive. You couldn't ask for more from a much higher priced hotel. The gym on the other hand is terrible. It is among the worst I've visited. It needs to be gutted and totoally refreshed. I stay in SPG properties for the gym facilities. I would not stay here again for that reason alone. November 6, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by dissapointed this was my second time staying at this hotel and this experience was terrible. The sink in the bathroom was clogged, the sliding door between the bedroom and bathroom did not work,so there was no privacy.the telephone in the bedroom did not work and i complained everyday but no one came to fix it.instead they gave us a free breakfast buffet on sunday.the parking lot is dark and isolated and there is no free wifi access in the room June 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love the Sheraton Hotel, Excellent Service always!!1 TREVON(BARTENDER), AND BEN AT THE FRONT DESK WERE EXCEPTIONAL. THEY WERE EXCELLENT WITH PROVIDING GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE GENTLEMEN IN THE EATING AREA WERE GREAT AS WELL. September 4, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Five star price at a one star hotel Wow, now I know the meaning of second class citizen. I was stuck in the far corner of the unfinished building. The ceiling was unfinished and the hall way looked as if a construction crew had just left without cleaning up. The walls were stained, vents not clean and what appeared to be black heel marks along the wall way. There was no room service the first day of my stay and I had to call and request room service the second day. November 27, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not what we expected At check in the front desk employees were not equipped to handle the volume of patrons. Seemed confused about the 'Be Green' e-mail I had received a few days before about no room service. I booked 2 rooms together and we were separated by 4 floors. However that was easily fixed. We were the for the Metro Atlanta Fire Conference and this hotel was the only participating hotel of this function. The staff was very clueless about the event, shuttle services for the fire fighters and events that would be taking place at the hotel. The room was also not what was expected. The carpet is falling apart with strings coming out. The outlets in the bathroom and worn out and should be replaced. I could not bet the blow dryer to stay in the outlet to dry my hair. The lights were difficult to work. All the lamps seem to be connected to a wall switch we could never find. May 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to stay Our experience was wonderful. The staff that checked us in were very accommodating and extremely friendly. September 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Paid parking I think it interesting that you charge for self parking and in-room internet for your paying guests, SPG or not. I was in town for the Georgia Association of REALTORS convention at the Galleria and chose the Sheraton which advertized a covered bridge connecting the hotel to the Galleria. In fact, to reach the bridge you had to walk across a highway and an area between two pedestrian bridges that made up the rest of the way. January 31, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by No, just no I'm incredibly disappointed with my stay at the Sheraton Galleria. My room was not properly cleaned, and it felt disgusting. I did not sleep well, because the bed felt unclean. The staff was slow to respond to requests, and at times abrasive. This is by far the worst hotel experience I have had, and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. July 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Business trip My stay here was for business reasons and the location was excellent. It was within walking distant of great shopping and dining as well as the work facility for me. The only disappointment was in the wifi signal from my room was horrible. I could not get or keep a wifi signal for more than a minute. I have a on-line webinar that lasted 3 hours and I have to spend the bulk of it in the hotel lobby just to stay on-line. October 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has a great staff I really enjoyed my stay at your hotel over the past 3 days. The suite was spacious, I was very surprised. Your staff was excellent. They always seem to have a smile and a friendly hello. The bed was comfortable and great pillows but the pull-out sofa bed was just the worst! That is my only negative comment I have about our stay. So convenient to all of our meetings. Food and shopping choices were excellent. Thanks. February 5, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by nothing works quite like it should nice place, but not quite as advertised. we were supposed to have a suite with a sitting area and a separate sleeping area, but instead got a bed on one side and another bed on the other side. not a huge deal, but that's not what our reservaion confirmation told us we had booked. the toilet kept running the first night, so I had to fix the tank myself to get it to quit. Finally, we were offered "free in-room internet" as a Gold memeber, but ti wouldn't connect. I called tech support ( no one in the hotel was able to help) and after working on it for about 15 minutes to no avai, they said they would call me back. They never did, and I never did get the wifi to work. Had to go to the lobby every time.. The location of the hotel was okay, and the staff was excellent, as far as what they were able to do. If you want a spiff for your Star Points, DON'T choose the free wifi. February 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great staff. Rooms very noisy due to outside traffic noise Great staff (welcoming, professional). Great location (offices and restaurants nearby, mall, easy city center and Buckhead access). Poor breakfast (quality, choices). Rooms very noisy due to outside traffic (no matter which side of the hotel one will stay in - no double-pane windows anywhere). August 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great value!! Great location, can get to anything in Atlanta from here without trouble. Can walk to ANY type of dinner/nightlife you would like from hotel. Get fridge in room, separate "living" area, 2 large flatscreens, bar area, bathroom with separate enclosed shower/commode, fast elevators, plenty of FREE parking, all for a price that is difficult if not impossible to beat without staying at a discount property. Rated 3 out of 5 by Minor issues I rented 3 rooms all rooms had some sort of issue. One room the toliet would not flush all the way 2nd room the phone did not work 3rd room the closet would not open. They offered to switch one of the rooms to another but that would have put the person on a floor that was 10 flights down and full of screaming kids. FYI the elevators are SOOOOOOOOO slow expect to wait atleast 5-10 mins for the elevator July 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by JK The King Suites in this hotel are a great place to stay. September 4, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful Room and Professional Staff Wonderfully furnished rooms. Staff was professional and extremely helpful. The only reason I could not give it 5 stars was due to the noise at night. We were on the 16th floor by the stairwell and we could hear the people above us stomping about, as well as noises from the stairs. August 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Meet my needs I stayed here for an event at Cobb Galleria. Room meet my needs but I counted off for room comfort because the sofa springs seemed to have been broken or something. When I sat on the sofa I kept going almost to the floor. I'm pretty sure it was a sofa bed and I'm glad I didn't have to sleep on it. Can't imagine how uncomfortable it would have been. This was the only issue and not a deal breaker. September 13, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for business Comfortable hotel with nice sized rooms. Handily located near Galleria and Cumberland malls - good restaurants nearby. No changing facilities at pool is a little odd - but at least there is a pool. Overall good value and comfortable. August 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect weekend getaway! I booked this room for my sons 8th birthday getaway. We had a blast with the indoor pool. Room was perfect, love how the bed was separate from the sitting area. Staff was friendly,I couldnt get early check in like I wanted, but the stay made up for it. Close to downtown Atlanta attractions. Didn't like that there is no free wi-fi in rooms, only downstairs. Also, restaurant in hotel was too pricey. March 11, 2013
