The service at the hotel restaurant was very slow and unresponsive. It took over 2.5 hours to have a 3 course meal. It would have been longer if we hadn't said anything. The food was good but not good enough to wait over an hour for our food.

Nice and clean bedroom, nice gym club, nice jacuzzi.
Swimming pool a little cold and too close to the freeway (but it is well isolated and we don't ear the freeway noise when we are in the bedroom.
It was nice to be able to come with our dog.

My stay at this hotel is always a pleasure. Everyone is very courteous and I especially loved my room this time because of the wonderful view. Will ask for it again. The restaurant always serves a nice meal and everyone serving is a delight.

The view is not what you expect. Marina is not big at all. Location to Peteluma and wine country is good.
$5 wine tasting is a nice addition. Free laundry room is great!
Our in room fridge froze all of our fresh fruit and cheese :(

Love the screens in the windows that allows for fresh air at night. great breakfast, and the Friday night wine tasting was terrific.
We love hiking the marsh.
This is our fourth time staying here and we would stay here again.

I called 12/24/12 to change my reservations. Josue was not very friendly. He seemed upset that I was changing my plans and the transferred me the reservation department without allowing me to finish my answer to his question.

Stayed at this hotel after a long drive. Beautiful views of the marina. Spacious room. Club Lounge was great for breakfast as I got to sit out on the balcony overlooking the marina and ate. Will definitely come again.

I feel that the hotel at the time of our visit may have been in need of more staffing. Overall though we would stay there again as the hotel itself was very comfortable,and the staff that was there was very pleasant.

Loved the glass of wine on arrival with friendly personnel to greet us.
Coffee maker clogged with some white stuff in it but hotel quickly gave us another.
TV did not work- had to replace it with another the next day
False fire alarm went off in the morning while we were in the room
Man next door was smoking constantly and we could smell it and was throughout the halls. Took several days before problem resolved. Found out he had to be evicted. It was horrible smelling stale smoke for so long.
WiFi was off and on throughout stay.
Eco option for $5 voucher was miss-leading- It was an all or nothing option. Either you didn't want maid service at all or you had everything done. We didn't feel we needed sheets and towels changed daily but when we hung the tag on the door, no one came in to make the beds, empty the trash or clean the bathroom. This is really to save the hotel labor costs not to help the environment. Our towels were changed even though we hung them up in the bathroom.
We had no issues with the people working at the hotel. They were all friendly and accommodating.

The room provided did not match the reservation I made. We called in to request a Club Level room that was pet-friendly. The reservation was made as requested. However, upon check-in the Front Desk indicated that pets were not allowed on the Club Level floor. While this is understandable, I would have preferred to have been told this from the start. We were moved to the first floor.
The facility was not very clean. Our room was located on the South side of the property near the marsh. The entrance was filthy. It smelled like a horse's stable. Also, there were two cups sitting on the pipes when we arrived on Friday and were also there when we checked out on Sunday. Also, there were multiple beer bottle caps on the floor along with a lot of dirt, weeds, and other grime. I would think it worthwhile to clean the guest's entrances as this is where a first impression is made.
Also, housekeeping was not up to par for a Sheraton property. They took the dirty towels but didn't hang the new ones. They didn't replace our bed sheets. The sheets were simply flipped; the feet side of the sheets were now at our faces. The bathroom floor was dirty upon arrival and was never cleaned during our stay.
I will look at other hotels when I stay in the area next.

My mother and I enjoyed this hotel in our getaway. Staff quite helpful and friendly. Restaurant was a relaxing place to catch up and have a glass of wine. We will recommend this place to our friends.

Beyond our expectations especially the spg "Gold" Membership acknowledgements with Club Suite and floor. Lovely hotel, location, parking, service, cleanliness, food, beverage. All excellent in our book.

The Sheraton Petaluma is a nice hotel that is near the Sonoma Wine Country. The staff is nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable. It has become our 'go to' hotel for overnights to the wine country.

Hotel sits on the water with beautiful boats outside the window. It's well kept with fresh flowers outside on the grounds and nice staff to greet you. Love the apples in the container in the lobby.

Easy/plentiful free parking and welcoming check-in. Spacious room (with a safe). Decent fitness room. On premise dining with a coffee shop in the same building. Easy to drive to/from the area.

We were highly disappointed with the staff at the Sheraton. They didn't clean the tables around the pool, restock the towels or take away the dirty towels. Even overnight. We had a late lunch by the pool, and when I came back down around lunch the NEXT DAY, the plates were still there.
The key cards for the rooms kept demagnetizing, no matter where they were kept (away from cell phones and credit cards). When I went to the front desk, they were rude because I didn't have my ID. It was locked in my room. So they radioed for a security to meet me at my room and check my ID. I was very annoyed, since I had to go down to the front desk because THEIR keycard didn't work, and then they treated me like a thief.
And finally, the wait staff in the restaurant was terrible. We had to ask several times to receive things we'd ordered, and we weren't the only ones. The wait staff wasn't friendly, and were just a pain to deal with. We didn't ask for much, and for the outrageous prices, I expected service with a smile.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel, and wish I could turn back time to stay somewhere else.

Well managed hotel. Front desk is courteous. Mike at the club lounge is exceptional. Good value for the money. Definitely will come back. I missed the second day pay your age program though.

Location was very convenient to the wedding we were attending. My only problem with the hotel was the temperature; way too warm and in-room a/c way too loud with fan running all the time.

Our stay was pleasant for the exception of the comfort of the bed itself. The mattress was uncomfortable on our backs. Staff was friendly, room was clean, pool was great for the children.

The shower head is not usable if you are under 6 feet tall.
My Wife is 5' 2" and would get drowned if she was to use the shower head. Some women do not wash their hair every night.

even though the front desk was understaffed, all our needs were met. we just had to wait while the sole person, ran the gift shop, front desk, bellman, etc.

I decided on this hotel as it was a convenient place for all 6 family members to meet to celebrate Mother's Day. It was easy to get to (right off the 101) and a beautiful quaint area to explore including several casinos if you like to gamble and fabulous restaurants in the area. We were able to get 2 adjoining rooms and 1 other room right across the way all on the same floor. The front desk staff were all pleasant and extremely helpful and even acknowledged my parents 57th wedding anniversary by surprising them and sending up a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The lounge was nice but did not offer hot egg dishes, etc...was definitely a continental breakfast which we enjoyed especially the espresso machine that made excellent coffee drinks including a fabulous hot chocolate...you do have to pay $5 for wine or alcohol in the executive lounge so we did not drink in the lounge we bought wine at Trader Joe's and brought it back to our room. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this for all types of travelers. The entire staff was helpful, caring, professional, and made sure our stay was enjoyable and relaxing.
