Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel! We have stayed at this hotel many times, particularly over the July 4th weekend. We have never been dissapointed! Great customer service, great location and always a pleasure to return to after a hot day in the sun listening to jazz. Thanks to everyone that makes our stay pleasant. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location and a good hotel I like this hotel. It just needs some tweaks. The shower in our room varied in and out on it's temperature. The bell staff was overtaxed and mostly unavailable. The cleaning staff forgot to leave coffee and cups and shower supplies. They also did not make our bed after we had taken the $5 token the day before but wished our room to be finally cleaned the next day. June 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent service and friendly people My one night stay turned into four nights due to problems with the project that I was working on. The entire staff from the front desk to the waitstaff to building engineers were so kind and ready to assist me. I need to return to Iowa City in a week or two and will be staying at the Sheraton. Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding staff and service I had to be there under family hospital related circumstances and the staff at this hotel could not have been better. We have stayed at the top hotels around the world and I was treated the way we are treated when we are spending over $2,000 a night on a room at the best hotels. I would feel very comfortable recommending this place to anyone. June 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great staff We were in Iowa City for a swim meet. Nancy checked us in but our room was not scheduled to be ready until normal check in time. She went above and beyond and found us a room that was ready immediately. It was convenient since we were traveling as a family. Great service. The location near the U of I swim facility was unbeatable. May 29, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by late check in I've always been please with my past stays at the Sheraton Iowa City, but this last time I arrived way past check-in and had to wait over an hour for a room to be cleaned - which I tried to be ok with, but I thought I would have been compensated with something, but nothing, which was very disappointing. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel/terrible beds This hotel is in a perfect location for the Univ. of Iowa campus. The staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The decor is very pleasant. The rooms are fine although the counter space in the bathroom was small. However, the beds were the most uncomfortable my family and I have ever slept in. June 18, 2012

Would have rated 5 stars, except: (1) elevator signal too loud- echoes down the hall and disturbs sleep (2) printer in Club Lounge was out of ink for two days: front desk reported they were still awaiting delivery of ink cartridge. Rated 5 out of 5 by Always a Pleasure Our daughter is a senior at University of Iowa. We have enjoyed many stays at Sheraton Iowa City over the years. The facilty is modern, clean and comfortable. Staff is extremely customer service oriented, and pleasant. Of course, the location is optimal for visits to the University. October 31, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by LAZY Got a room as a gift for my birthday and as were down town hitting the local establishments and before we went to dinner after a swim were were going to shower and what do we see as we look up 2 dirty was cloths from another guest. Not the best thing to see for the price of the room December 20, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Needs to improvement People were nice but did not explain one thing about they offered at the hotel we had to keep calling the front desk for info, remote control didnt work, ice machine didnt work, addtional charges for things not told to us, no breakfast what so ever, for the money ITS NOT WORTH IT!! Rated 5 out of 5 by great for dogs and family! thank you for taking us in iowa. after traveling for 29 hours, we were stuck and had no where to go. we had an 8week old and 3 year old. we were traveling to iowa and couldn't get any further.....thank you for the wonderful stay! the front desk workers were so nice and welcoming! Rated 5 out of 5 by Welcoming Staffs with Outstanding Service My stays with this hotel was outstanding because of the service from the staffs. For business reasons, I have to visit Iowa City on bimonthly basis. Although not frequent, I was remembered by the staffs after a few stays. I appreciate such welcoming greetings in a new city. Rated 4 out of 5 by Location is great The only problem we had was the lights from the pool were on all night and with our room being by the pool, we had light shining in our room the entire night. We had to pull the curtains together as much as we could and move the table back against them to keep them together. November 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Well maintained accomodations Room was comfortable, clean and pleasantly decorated and furnished. Negatives: Burned out entry light upon arrival. Although a non-smoking facility, encountered heavy smoke in hallway and near the elevator. When reported, staff acted promptly to correct both situations. October 19, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by great location; bad amenities I can't believe the hotel charges $10.00 a day for Internet -- that seems ridiculous when much cheaper hotels inthe area provide free wireless. Also, we were there for a convention,a nd the food served was terrible -- tasteless and dry. I expect more from a Sheraton. October 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blinding snow Thanks for welcoming us and being so friendly. We were exhausted after 10 hours in bad weather with a 9 year old child and 2 dogs. You saved my sanity,plus you made a little girl and her 2 dogs so happy. We all slept great and made it to Christmas in Minnesota . December 26, 2012

From the minute we checked in to when we left the service was perfect. It was a busy weekend due to several events but the staff never missed a beat. February 8, 2012

Great beds, well furnished rooms and the best location. We've never been disappointed with anything at the Sheraton. December 20, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nickel and Dime Bathrooms are small and you have to pay for internet when right across the street the local coffee house offers free wifi. Every other hotel in which I have stayed in Iowa City offers free wifi. It's 2012 - you can get free wifi in CABS for crying out loud! August 13, 2012

But then did not apply credit voucher as part of stay - somewhat argumentative. Follow-up bill which was e-mailed corrected it. September 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceeded Expectations This hotel is in an ideal Iowa City location. And while that alone would make it a solid choice, it was the facility itself that was perfect for our group. It was very clean and the staff was excellent. We will be back and hopefully soon. January 4, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Access to Lounge Great feature and maybe i am spoiled but i was Plat. the last 14 years and now lifetime Gold (50 stays away from lifetime plat). So I no longer get apps at night and continetal breakfast in the morning. I am bias, but i think i should. October 3, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by super uncomfortable beds beds were pretty to look at but way too soft for our family. All four of us hated them. can you offer some harder if possible? i would not stay here again due to this. Otherwise it was very nice, but we come there to sleep primarily. October 31, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Local staff great, but problems with the reservations I made my reservation by phone. I ended up needing to call 2-3 times to adjust my reservation. Each time I made sure to add that I needed connecting rooms, the people on the phone assured me that a note would be made and I was even contacted by a local representative who repeated by request for connecting rooms. When I got to the hotel to check in I was told that no connecting rooms were available and there was no note with my reservation requesting it. The man I worked with at the check in desk was very helpful, but I am annoyed that my request for connecting rooms was not noted since I spoke numerous times to people on the phone and was told a note would be made. I was also told on the phone that fridges were in the rooms. Once arriving to the hotel, I was told that fridges are not in the rooms, but I could pay to have one brought up . The accommodation and local service I received were great. The people I spoke to on the phone were nice, but I am disappointed that my request for connecting rooms was not noted and I received false information regarding the fridges. July 17, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by Overpriced, loud, GREEN?? The hotel is extremely expensive, $399 per night AND I needed three rooms! Upon check-in, I was asked to "go green," which only means that I can opt NOT to have my room cleaned, not to have my bed made or linens changed and not to receive clean towels! For $399 a night, I should receive all the above without question, luxurious robes, free breakfast AND some peace and quiet. The hotel is so loud! My room was on the front and there is NO soundproofing at all. We heard sirens all night along with people getting on and buses and people in the hall, as if they were in our room. My daughter had a room on the other side and was kept awake all night by the bar crowds. Why aren't the walls and windows somewhat soundproofed? My other daughter had entrance from her room to the pool -- very odd -- and it was as if anyone swimming and working out was in her room. I ate 4 meals at your restaurant. The food was very good, but three of the four times, we had the worst and slowest service. I would have to get up 2-3 times to ask for salt, or the fries she forgot or the check etc. Unacceptable!
