Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible customer service This is China but I still expect good customer service. Staff insisted on cash for room service as I didn't have a credit card even though I am Gold member and paid in advance. Staff were useless at arranging taxis in the morning - going to the street was quicker. Only one set of knife and fork for room service food. Called asking for another set and it never arrived. My collegue told me it cost 15 minutes to queue for your check-in.I feel frustrated about it.Our human resource department is recruiting new staff to increase the group of front desk.I believe the situation will be changed soon. Regarding we didn`t set up amenities into your room.I sincerely apologize to you for our mistake.Mr.XXX,we will arrange deluxe fruit basket in advanced and choose better suit room during your next stay.I hope you give us one more chance to serve for you. Actually some staff from the front desk are new,we need to enhance them training of skills so as to they will solve the problem effectively and helpfully.Of course we have special counter for SPG Glod/Platinum.It is on the 27F club lounge.Mr.Tsui,you can go to 27F for the check-in next time,it is no need room key to access to the 27F,just press the button in the evalator. Sincerely yours, Ivan Then My Reply Dear Ivan, First of all, I was lining up at the 27F floor behind a bunch of people from a tour group whose I am quite sure they not SPG Gold/Platinum members for 30 minutes. Before that I was told there is no SPG Gold/Platinum dedicate check in counter in this hotel (and I ask repeatedly for 27th Floor). It was not until I ask for the duty manager and your colleague show me to the 27th floor. To me and to all of the customers, it is not a excuse to blame the poor service knowledge and attitude is due to the new staffs. We pay the same amount and we expect the same high level of service standard under Sheraton brand. Rated 5 out of 5 by Splendid Stayed at Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel I have been staying with Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao for my past few stayed and it was always feel like home away from home feeling and all the staffs was warm and helpful. Rated 3 out of 5 by Near to Hongqiao Railway station The Deluxe Suite I was upgraded to consists of 2 rooms with a connecting door. 1 room had the living room while the other was the bedroom. Hotel is close to the Hongqiao Railway station. The hotel has been around for sometime so I hope they will renovate it soon. December 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ideal Location for Business In Shanghai Centrally located between the Bund for fun and Hongqiao Hub for internal travel. Close to line 10 Metro with easy access to either and on to Lujiazui Pudong for business. Great staff and Leonard at the Concierge Desk is fantastic. December 1, 2015

The room is very old and refurbish needed immediately. The keycard is always not functioning. September 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Service and rooms in this hotel This hotel is a great example of the Sheraton line of hotels, the room is clean, Service is prompt and courteous. Checking into the hotel is a breeze and when the staff is impacted, they will move the gold/platiumn members to the lounge for check in and check out quickly. September 1, 2015
