Rated 3 out of 5 by Canterbury1 Variable rooms
Last couple of stays in Yokahoma Sheraton I have been on SPG floors and rooms comfortable....always been able to use SPG lounge also. This time am in smoking room that smells on 14th floor with no view. No,logic for why buy annoying as staying 5 nights on business this stay.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SJBatPSL Sky Lounge at Yokohama Sheraton Bay View & Tower
Hotel Guest & SPG member have to pay a cover charge of JPY1000 per person.
View is fantastic & normally after accepting the cover charge service is good. Tonight (I have been here many times in last 10 years) service was poor - glass of wine from end of bottle, below measure & no gesture of discount or attempt to make-up to full measure - Waiter just pleads ignorance - "not understand English".
Come on Sheraton - this is not acceptable - cancel the cover charge & sort out your Sommeliers!!!
Up to now a reasonably happy customer - next time I will think twice about using this hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sachi Nice hotel with excellent location
I love the location. Right at Yokohama station. The staff was friendly, but they treated SPG members just like other regular customers. I requested to upgraded the room with extra fee, but they denied my request as they said that days I was staying were fully booked.
The hotel was old but clean.I really enjoyed the food at the restaurant. Great quality.
The bell desk staff were too busy to be friendly. Needs to improve their customer service skill.
But overall, this is a good hotel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2425 Needs management attention
Checkin staff should give welcome bonus to SPG gold members during arrival - they did not.
Staff should upgrade room for SPG gold members - they did not.
Staff should prioritize checkin - made us wait 20 mins for room keys.
Hotel should ensure Airconditioning is working fine - it does not.
Definitely not a sheraton standard... will never stay again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Merlano SPG STATUS NOT RECOGNIZED
Overall I was disappointed with my stay at this Sheraton. It did not meet my expectations at all. Was not upgraded to a better room despite being a Gold Member but was offered to pay for the upgrade. By mistake I had two reservations and the check-in counter staff was not diligent enough to find a room so I did not have to change rooms while my stay. The English level at check-in counter was miserable. I was lucky I had my reservation papers printed and at hand, still took check in lady 20 Minutes to find my reservation (midnight and willing to sleep). Check-out experience even worse, after trying to show them a mistake f overcharging for like 20 minutes I decided to let it go because they wouldn't understand. To my surprise I get an e-mial days later telling me that the bill was wrong and they charged more than they should have charged.... anyways, in general a miserable experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Marika67 Need to become a non-smoking hotel
Very conveniently located. right next to the JR station.
Excellent breakfast buffet.
The only draw back is the limited availability of non-smoking room, and even some of these are "smoky".

Rated 4 out of 5 by AsiaExpat Convenience & Location
A lovely hotel and very convenient to Yokohama Station and area attractions and what you'd expect from a high end hotel in Japan. My only issue was minimal SPG benefit; despite front desk telling me the hotel wasn't busy, I wasn't upgraded but then again perhaps none were available. The lounge facility is really lacking; a great view of the city but very small choice of morning and evening snacks and drinks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bill059 another great stay
I had a business trip that required me to stay 4 weeks at the Yokohama Bay Sheraton. The hotel staff was great and met or exceeded every expectation. I found the hotel comfortable, clean and friendly. I would recommend anyone to stay at the Sheraton in Yokohama for 1 night or several nights. Already rebooked 2 more stays in the June and July.
