Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable stay Room was very nice. Clean, comfortable especially the bed & pillows. Room was large and I had a view of the harbor. The staff was great. My only problem was the air conditioner was very noisy. I found the room to be stuffy & hot and each time the air conditioner turned on I was awake. This happenned several times during the night. Rated 5 out of 5 by The place to stay if you want comfort and courteous staff The room was very clean. I slept wonderfully as the bed was very comfortable, but what impressed me the most was the complimentary bottle of wine for my tenth stay there. That was a very classy move on their part. I would recommend this hotel. Also their staff was very courteous and helpful. Way to go Sheraton Petaluma! February 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Restaurant was bad The restaurant was under staffed, only one server for our large group. We were setted at 8:00 and never got our breakfast until 9:10. The tour bus arrived at 9:15 so we could only eat part of our breakfast. The employes tried calling the manager about the problem but he was always unavalable. You need a new restaurant manager. Rated 5 out of 5 by Petaluma Sheraton hits the bullseye Yet another wonderfulk stay at the Petaluma Sheraton. Some new faces and all were excellent. Special requests were ready for me. Room was quiet and comfortable. Internet was faster BUT made we sign back in frequently. Because the sign-in opens on your current page you can lose work so save frequently. Tolay was excellent. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay Great hotel overall. Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Highly recommend the club level. Location is not ideal, about 45 minutes from the heart of Napa, and there is not much in the immediate area. However, drive to Napa is beautiful and for the quality and price this is a great option when visiting wine country. June 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent with one glaring exception Great place. BUT the restaurant opens at 6:30 AM with only one employee. I stood at entry for 6 minutes and never saw that employee. Assume he/she was in back working. Others joined the wait. Finally I left. This has happened twice. Please bring 2 employees on when you open. Otherwise, a great facility and great people. Rated 4 out of 5 by Green Room Tag Our room was clean. Our problems were broken in room safe and shower head could not be adjusted. Our friends put their green room tag out on their handle. There room was not cleaned or beds made. Thought the green tag meant not to change towels or sheets. Apparently it means not to make beds or refresh bottles of water. October 6, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Food I had a bad experience at dinner on Monday, 1-14-2013. Only Sword Fish was available and no other fish. Also the soup was a Sword Fish soup. Again on 1-17-2013 it was a Sword fish and no other fish. I had to settle for the Fish and chips. Why there was no Salmon Halibut or Cat fish dishes available. I was disappointed. January 19, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible spg experience When I checked in, I needed to extend my stay by a third day due to personal reasons, and the lady at the front desk did tell me that she can extend my stay herself and that I can do it on points. So she did...or so I thought-more on that later. No club lounge access was provided for me and after I inquired why, she said it's only for spg platinum members. I had access at this time last year though. As she opened the side door to the front desk to give me the luggage cart, I explained to her I had access last year as a gold spg member and asked why it changed, but she had no response and closed the door on me. Kinda rude, no? I called spg and they had no reason either as to why I had it last year at this property and not this year. Very confusing and inconsistent. It's not fair to provide it one year then take it away the next. One of the reasons I reserved this hotel was on the basis of access to the spg club lounge. It's very convenient and I get it at other Starwood properties all over the place as a spg gold member. That's inconsistent. I gave up complaining to them. As soon as I got into the room, it was apparent by the look of the blankets in disarray, and some on the floor, that the room wasn't cleaned. I lugged my luggage and family outta that room then tried to call the front desk from the room, but no one answered after trying twice for about 5 minutes. Went downstairs, told them what was wrong with the room. No apology offered from that lady. She gave me a new room, but unfortunately it was the furthest from the elevator. As I went into the new room, security lock box was not working. Called front desk twice again and no one picks up the phone again. I gave up trying to complain. Bathroom floor towel was missing. Another annoying thing. NOW, same lady at the front desk, 24 hours later, called me and said I have to actually call spg to extend my stay even though she said she took care of it then and there as soon as I arrived yesterday. Weird how it can't be done at the front desk. Well, as my kids are all dressed up for the pool and waiting for me, I called spg and spent 25 minutes on the phone wasting time taking care of something that I thought was taken care of already! We all go to the pool, and unfortunately, the jets in the jacuzzi weren't working. The button doesn't work! I got more one night at this hotel, then I'm done. This is the worst spg hotel I've ever had. It's too bad too because it was fine when I was here last year in August! Will never come back to this shoddy service of a hotel. July 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Another wonderful stay in Sonoma County I travel here frequently. I switched to a lesser hotel at one point but the service was so poor I've come back to the Sheraton. Although the room I had this trip was near an elevator and thus very noisy, it was still a good stay. I would recommend this facility to anyone for personal or professional travel. October 28, 2012

The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs throughout the duration of our stay. I would strongly recommend this property to others and I'm confident that you will also be very satisified. Server seemed overwhelmed, and took longer then average for oatmeal and wheat toast which neither morning came out together. They were out of OJ this morning even. Overall I would saty again, but would plan more time for breakfast. February 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel offered me exactly what I needed! Our stay at this hotel was wonderful. We used the Petaluma location as our home basse for our visit to the Wine Country. It was easy to get everywhere and we even went to the Pacific Coast one day which was a treat. The staff offered great advice, directions and went out of their way to help us. September 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great experience in Petaluma Traveling frequently for work, hotels have become my home away from home and this Sheraton in Petaluma was a very pleasant experience. The room was spacious and comfortable and everything worked as it should. I didn't take advantage of the free wi fi since I have my own hot spot but I appreciated their offer. The view overlooking the small harbor and wetland was restful. I had access to a balcony (some rooms have their own) overlooking the harbor where I could sit and enjoy a glass of wine from the bar downstairs. The food at the Tolay restaurant was very good, the bar fully stocked and the servers were friendly. The Starbucks - although it opens late for an early riser - has a little store in addition to the coffee served each morning. The hotel is just outside of town, only a 5 minute drive, and at the edge of the Schollenburger Park, a wetland preserve with a great walking/running trail that goes for miles. All in all it's a well run establishment and I would easily recommend it to others. August 18, 2013

I was really disappointed in the breakfast since the breakfast area was under construction - it was in a meeting room. it was only ok. I had looked forward to the omelets each day but while I was there, they were not offered. March 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hotel I really enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean and nice and always ready for me when I would return from work. My only suggestion would be a different selection of food in the club room for breakfast choices having other alternatives vs the same daily. Overall I enjoyed my stay. July 20, 2013

The service award goes to Wendy, what a great personality and provided great service for our breakfast and drinks at the pool. Excellent location. I do think the beds need to be replaced, we had better beds while we were on the road. August 25, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Lots to improve The only person seemed to be happy and helpful at our late check in was the porter man. Hotel is right off highway, marina view and hotel picture was somewhat misleading. No or very limited recognition to Starwood preference guest. Okay but we have stayed much cleaned sharetons. Rated 2 out of 5 by Its the little things Called two weeks ahead to advise hotel that my dog would be traveling with me. When checking in Brian the clerk told me the first floor pet friendly rooms were sold out. To his credit he put us in a room on the 2nd floor, gave us club room access and made sure to offer the extra benefits for SPG Gold members. It worked out fine, but since the hotel had been notified two weeks prior to check-in that I would have my dog with me, a room on the first floor should have been blocked for me. Went for a morning swim at 9;00 AM. Pool was locked up tight even though opening time is 7:00 AM. Front desk offered to have the pool opened in 10 to 15 min. Didn't want to wait around the lobby in my swimsuit so I told them not to bother for me. Club lounge is really an afterthought at this location. Terrible stale pastries and soggy oatmeal at breakfast and no drinks in fridge in the afternoon.. Also, it should be have been cleaner. All in all, i would return if I needed a place to stay, but my expectations would be much lower. September 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by only one complaint Breakfast did not meet expectations found it a little over priced. Would have perferred a more conventional menu instead of the napa valley theme ! I will stay there again in future but will eat some place local. Also it would have been nice to have valet parking. January 21, 2013

The rooms were comfortable, check-in and check-out eas, and the location was nice and close to Sonoma and Napa Valleys. I recommend this hotel. September 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Mother's Day Weekend I decided on this hotel as it was a convenient place for all 6 family members to meet to celebrate Mother's Day. It was easy to get to (right off the 101) and a beautiful quaint area to explore including several casinos if you like to gamble and fabulous restaurants in the area. We were able to get 2 adjoining rooms and 1 other room right across the way all on the same floor. The front desk staff were all pleasant and extremely helpful and even acknowledged my parents 57th wedding anniversary by surprising them and sending up a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The lounge was nice but did not offer hot egg dishes, etc...was definitely a continental breakfast which we enjoyed especially the espresso machine that made excellent coffee drinks including a fabulous hot chocolate...you do have to pay $5 for wine or alcohol in the executive lounge so we did not drink in the lounge we bought wine at Trader Joe's and brought it back to our room. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this for all types of travelers. The entire staff was helpful, caring, professional, and made sure our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. May 13, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wedding dress shopping Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but since we were busy shopping for my daughters wedding dress, we didn't have time for a marina view. We had a gorgeous room on the club level. Enjoyed the club hospitality room. From now on, it will be the club level. December 30, 2012

Its accommodating staff and comfortable rooms all combine to make this a fine option to consider for a stay in this enticing area of California. January 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable bed with excellent room service We travel with a small dog, so room service availability was important. The food via room service was excellent - and very quick. This Sheraton has a very good kitchen. Only downside was that the pool is located in a cold windy area, so was not inviting. March 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Food & Beverage Needs Help The staff and hotel room were very nice. the food and beverage area needs a lot of help. It could be so much nicer. The arms of the cloth chairs were stained and very dirty. Two big signs announcing 90+ point wines get your hopes up but then quickly let you down. The signs advertise Reidel Stemware, but there were no Reidels to be found anywhere. Just cheap, thick $1 wine glasses you can get at any discount store. There is a 2 glasses of wine for $5 happy hour. The bartender did not know much about any of the wines being served. The Chard was served ice cold. The Zin had been open for at least three days and was very warm. I was told to try the calamari. The presentation was nice, but it was basically just fried breading with no calamari inside. The servers were nice, but the service at all four meals I ate at the restaurant was extremely slow and it was not due to it being busy. Overall, a nice place to stay, but avoid the food and beverage, which is dissappointing because it is in wine country and setting is beautiful on the water. June 20, 2013
