Rated 4 out of 5 by Experiences The day I checked in I was given a room that had not been cleaned yet. I went to the desk and reported it and was immediately given another room. The system showed that the room was ready. The other room had the coffee pot missing; even though I don't drink coffee I didn't want them to think that I had took it with me when I left. Rated 3 out of 5 by Room Sorry, We Were. not happy with were hotel stay. Our room was not clean as it should have been and carpet was not clean. We requested a King bed room. There was a clothing tag size XXXX Large on the floor which is not my size nor my husband. Also there was a cigarette butt on the floor. The front desk was apologetic and switched us to a different room with dinner and breakfast, which I thought was nice. Only thing we were still charged for our room. I am not the type to complain a lot but, I felt it fitting. September 29, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too many problems and issues Not favorable: Narrow selection of channels on TVs Constantly being questioned everytime I walked through lobby. Printer did not work and front desk staff had some difficulty producing a boarding pass $19.95 ($25 with taxes and tip) for a pedestrian breakfast buffet. At that price point have better selection or a ocean. An extra $100 was put on my bill to cover incidentals. Desk said that would be credited back in 5-7 business days. Never experienced anything like that before. Never had my AmEx Platinum not sufficient. Difficult to log onto internet. September 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Modern hotel with spacious rooms This hotel is situated in a great location - just a 5 minute walk to the Galleria Mall. The shuttle service drivers are very friendly, punctual, and happy to make recommendations along the way - this is by far the best shuttle service I have experienced of a hotel. Stephanie, the front desk representative, is a gem. She is helpful, pleasant, professional, and very proactive; her presence made our stay very comfortable. I've travelled to many hotels across the world and have stayed at 5 star and what would be considered 7 star hotels, and the reality is that it doesn't matter how nice a hotel looks, if the service isn't there nothing else matters. Well rest assured if you stay here and are fortunate to have Stephanie take care of you, you will be in great hands. Facilities are modern. Room is very spacious with a large washroom. Plenty of closet space and a kitchenette. The gym is very nice and has nice extras like cold towels, water bottles, and headphones. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend this property. Rated 1 out of 5 by Service level needs improvement Hotel staff is not accommodating to guests especially with status. Requested an upgrade at check-in and was informed that Gold members have to be charged for upgrades because this is a new hotel. When informed front desk that I have 90+ nights at Sheraton properties was informed that it may be so but its not at this property so they cannot accommodate. Had to call twice asking for some amenities to be delivered in the room which were not fulfilled Ordered breakfast in room and forgot 2 orange juice orders. Also asked for toast to be in a separate basket so it is not soggy however the toast arrived soggy Upon check-in was told internet would be free but was charged for internet and had to request a refund which took 20 minutes at time of check-out.
