Rated 4 out of 5 by Well done Suited my needs nicely but was mis informed on cost of cab ride to Turner Field. April 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best Hotel Visit by far!! Visited Atlanta for the first time and the minute I arrived at the Sheraton, I already felt at home with their wonderful hospitality. Felt safe around the area and very close to area attractions. The room and the bed was very comfortable and nice. The food not bad either. The staff went above and beyond for all their guests. Don't change guys, you're the best!! Definitely will come back next time I'm in Atlanta. April 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top-notch The rooms are roomy, clean, the DND signs are honored, customer service is great when you need it ( I.e. a call for extra coffee). The staff are professional and always helpful. We look forward to staying every year (Labor Day weekend) and always hope we will continue to make our reservations a year in advance as Starwood Preferred Guests. HIGHLY recommended as a place to stay and enjoy yourself. April 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hospitality with a Capital H Every staff person associated with the guest experience from the valet, to the bell captains, to the front desk, to the wait staff gave impeccable service. April 6, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not Happy My room was noisy with people walking by as they put me in a basement room and charged $12.00 per day for internet use and I'm a SPG member April 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Friendly, Clean and Comfortable beds! Every single one of the employees here were all friendly to my mother and I. The gentlemen at the front, I guess we could call them bell hops, were all so kind and willing to assist with anything (bags, doors, packing, etc.). Everyone was welcoming and willing to go the extra mile. The beds were surprisingly one of the most comfortable beds for a hotel, my family has ever slept in. The Sheraton exceeding my expectations and I highly recommend staying here. April 5, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by April 2014 The rooms and hallways need a major update. The balcony of my room was covered with cigarettes. April 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great indoor pool, comfortable rooms very exotic pool area surrounded by real plants and folage. good (no Chlorine) pool and hot tub. great to relax and enjoy when weather outside was rain and cold. April 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicest staff / team I've seen.. treat you like family! Everyone who works here makes you feel at home and you can tell they want your stay to be as comfortable as possible. I LOVE the folks throughout entire hotel of the Sheraton Atlanta on Courtland. They rock! You feel as if you are leaving friends when you drive away! April 1, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wouldn't stay here again The hotel rooms were nice however the hotel staff and service needs a great amount of improvement. We were charged a higher charge per room because we were with a conference than other people who checked in at the same time with the same room. The staff explained we were charged more because we were with a conference and our demand was higher, which is a terrible excuse to use to cover up that they were overcharging us. After having to pay a higher rate, Wi-Fi wasn't included in our room and was outrageous if we wanted to use it. When you do get Wi-Fi, it doesn't even work throughout the entire hotel, so you then have to pay more to use it in different parts of the hotel. Ridiculous! The staff was friendly yet very incompetent. We had many issues with the front desk staff and are still dealing with issues because they unable to do their job correctly the first time. I will never recommend this hotel to anybody nor stay there every again. March 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Lounge There was bad weather during my stay, so I stuck to Fandangles lounge for dinner all three nights. The staff was attentive and very welcoming. The food was delicious. I had a wonderful stay at Sheraton and look forward to returning in the future. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Southern Hospitality This hotel staff is the best we ever experienced! From the hotel manager to the maids to the wait staff to the restaurant manager, the helpfulness, sensitive care was beyond expectations. Bravo to the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel! March 25, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sheraton Downtown This hotel has good features such as the deli and the restaurant on the 2nd floor. The location is located on the intersection of two busy streets. Our room was on a street side which is also where the cabs congregate. There was a lot of car noise throughout the day and night. There is also a nightclub on that side of the hotel which created loud partying late into the early morning hours. The staff were very nice and helpful. The hot tub was so over chlorified that it bleached out my daughters swim suit. The pool was super nice but too cold for my taste. March 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Great Stay Everyone was super friendly. Particularly Jerome in Bell Service and Kiki at concierge. Both of them went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Thanks so much for the great stay. March 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very satisfied customer Stayed 4 nights. Got free upgrade. Exceeded my expectations. Very friendly staff, great location. My daughter loved the pool. March 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Stayed during a conference, overall good experience Although the hotel isn't beautiful from the outside, the inside was quite nice, pretty clean, even if a little aged. The staff was friendly and helpful. I declined the daily room cleaning for conservation reasons, but got extra coffee and cream quickly with just a phone call. This is a great hotel for people with kids since they have rooms that circle the pool, and a great pool area. Personally, as someone who doesn't have kids, you couldn't pay me to stay in one of those rooms! Three areas needed improvement: the toilet seat was loose and shifted, nearly giving me a heart attack a couple of times (room 810), the fan was constantly running but didn't seem to cool the room much, and the internet access was painfully slow. Rated 4 out of 5 by A nice place to stay...for the most part We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff definitely lived up to their Southern Hospitality. We had a few issues throughout our stay which were taken care of by the staff. I was not impressed by Housekeeping. I often did not have enough towels or coffee and our room was not cleaned until very late in the day. Otherwise, the hotel is lovely. The concierge was wonderful and every staff member that you came across was friendly and helpful. March 24, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Try the Hilton next door! Our experience was less that satisfactory. We arrived at 8:30 AM and had hoped to be allowed to check in to our room by the 3:00 PM check-in time, however were not. The lobby was packed with people and we stood in line 3 separate times to check-in. Additionally, our room had direct access to the pool atrium which meant we listened to screaming each night until 10 PM and after midnight one Saturday when I was told that security had been called to remove a party from the area. With the exception of the concierge desk (which was great) all hotel employees seemed overwhelmed and frantic. They DID NOT seem at all well equipped to handle the amount of people a conference brings in. March 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by not prepared for conference We showed up for the conference, whose check in time started at 2:00? or 1:00. Our room was not ready at 2:15. We were instructed to come back at 3:00 and were given no preference to skip the check in line--which means we waited in line twice to check in. It also meant we had to tip the bell boy for luggage storage while we went to conference registration. Bell boy gave up incorrect directions to CVS. Maid left wet dirty washcloth on bathroom counter second morning. Maid service did not clean room until after 2:00 on Saturday when we needed to be able to change quickly for event. March 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent staff The staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The loud noise in the hall by guests, they could not control. March 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great conference hotel choice We joined extended family for a few days at the Sheraton Atlanta where our daughter and grandson participated in the OAKE music education conference. Everything about the facility was top-notch, and we especially appreciated the abundance of staff who greeted us in a friendly way and offered assistance at every turn. I especially appreciated the Concierge staff who helped multiple times, including engaging a shuttle service to help our party of 7 reach the airport for an early Sunday morning flight. Rated 5 out of 5 by Not the best, not the worst This hotel is somewhat dated, but certainly acceptable. We went down for the SEC Basketball Tourney. I got a "corner double" as an upgrade for platinum status. Nice size room, but really small bathroom. Again, just dated. My favorite part of the stay was the $18.50 breakfast buffet. Big guy cooking omelets was great. $22 a night parking was a gotcha, but it's a big city. Overall nice stay. March 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Staff! Andre at the concierge desk was amazing! He got us into some of the top restaurants around on a very busy weekend. He was helpful and friendly every time we saw him. Thank you! March 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Please clean There is hair stuck to the ceiling above the shower. Pretty gross. Also, after waking up we opened the coffee maker and found used grounds, etc. in there that had started to mold. A previous guest had also spilled something in the little fridge as well since there was gooey sticky orange gunk in there we had to wipe out to put our drinks in there. I know you guys have a gazillion rooms so I'm sure this one just got overlooked. March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by High quality experience The room was very clean and comfortable. I spent most of my two days there working in the room to prepare for a meeting on Wednesday. It was a great place to work. I was able to use the fitness equipment, which was nice. We received a great restaurant recommendation from the concierge - I wish I could remember his name. He was great. For the conference, the staff accommodated my diet restrictions without any problem. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Great job! March 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptional Visit May associate and I stayed at this hotel for a week while attending a local convention. I can say without a doubt that is this was the most enjoyable hotel stay I've had in over a decade. The customer service was exceptional. Every staff member greeted you with a smile and an audible “Hello” or “Good Morning”. They took every opportunity to make certain your visit was enjoyable. My associate and I were even stopped by one of the senior managers to make sure we were satisfied several evenings into the stay. Instead of rushing off as soon as he received a confirmation of our satisfaction, he stayed and conversed with us for several minutes. We dined at the hotel the last evening of our stay and it was an exceptional meal. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the red snapper was flaky and sweet. It was an exceptional meal rivaled only by the five star steak house we visited while in town. This may not be the fanciest hotel in Downtown Atlanta, but the quality of service the staff delivered was the best I have experienced in years. I will definitely be booking all future downtown Atlanta visits at this Sheraton if possible. March 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by needs better communication 1. at check-in did not tell us what tower we were in. Same problem when another room was picked up at midnight. went to the wrong tower and had to return downstairs to ask 2. received queen bed, not king - wasnt told this at check-in - confirmation said king. I have never stayed in a hotel that had 1 queen bed in a room. 3. was told by a representative "what do you want me to do about it" and put me on hold midsentence 4. student room had leaky tub and they used towels to clean up water and both nights asked for towel 3 times and didn't receive them 5. requested roll away twice and didn't receive it. Rated 5 out of 5 by DECA Conference Staff was very personable, friendly, accommodating. Food served for luncheon buffets was very good. Conference areas were comfortable and clean. March 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel Surpassed my Expectations I have to admit, I wasn't incredibly impressed when I walked into the hotel and then had to go through the vestibule and down a narrow hall and through the conference center to get to the elevators to my room. But the place grew on me over 5 days. The staff were excellent, the facilities were above my expectations. The conference food was excellent. I would return her in a heart beat. February 27, 2014
