Rated 5 out of 5 by Putting a face to the Hotel I just attended the 2012 Sweepstakes Convention and one of the planners for a past and future convention (working with Tom in Boston for a location in FL) and I mentioned to a friend of mine that this was the first hotel where we actually got to see someone from management at the start of the convention and made a public announcement as well as to how impressed he was. It was the fact that the hotel manager actually got up on stage and welcomed us to the hotel. As the planner and convention worker each year, I was listening to what our people had to stay about their stay and they were all impressed by the service in driveway, lobby and even when coming out of a session waiting for the elevator and being lead to a service elevator, rather than having to wait 10 minutes to squeeze into the elevator. We thought everyone from management down was great. August 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for business Business stay for several days. The staff are courteous and helpful. Food and facilities are excellent. June 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Hotel for needs Stayed for labor day weekend for Dragon*Con, this is considered a host hotel for the convention so it is really convenient to stay here. As a podcaster my biggest issue with this hotel is that you have to pay an extra $12.99/day for internet access in the rooms. If you are looking for a place to stay during Dragon*Con i highly recommend this hotel, if you will need internet access during your stay, you might consider other options. September 6, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor hot water Reservation was incorrect at check in On green program but could not get coffee for the room after asking the front desk No hot water in sink even after asking front desk and side desk to resolve...4 days??? 1 hour wait for the main restaurant constant banging and noise outside my room window starting at 4 am cronic whistle in room's window seal unprepared for rain and had no idea to manage the rush of people in front lobby January 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by My May 2014 Stay I thought the staff was excellent. My bed was very comfortable and the room (716) was clean. The sliding door for the bathroom was a good space saving feature. (I did think the toilet seat was a little flimsy and wiggled around.) May 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I had a very good experience. I left a courtesy note at the Sheridan. I was very pleased with every aspect of my stay at the Sheridan. Your staff in every area was most helpful, polite, courteous, and best of all smiling. May 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great staff! Due to the nature of my work, presenting at seminars and conferences, I stay in hotels 10-15 nights/ month. The staff of this hotel is one of the best I have ever seen. Beginning with the valet, doormen, & front desk staff all the way to the engineering, housekeeping & banquet staff. I encountered no one that did not greet me with a smile, and a genuine desire to make my stay exceptional. All gave credit to their wonderful GM. June 11, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a very peaceful setting in the middle of town. I was surprised at how peaceful a setting in downtown Atlanta. The staff made me feel right at home and I really was able to relax after a stressful day. May 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fulton marshal hotel security sucks At hotel for a convention. Had a room and multi night stay. Brought a lot of friends to hotel and they got rooms as well. In total a of 10 of us reserved 5 rooms. We will never go back. Security ruined the convention. Particularly the off duty Fulton county marshals. Harassed continuly for having a beer in my hand in a plastic cup with a lid on it. Biggest let done ever. Will not be back for dragon con. Will stay elsewhere. February 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not the best, not the worst This hotel is somewhat dated, but certainly acceptable. We went down for the SEC Basketball Tourney. I got a "corner double" as an upgrade for platinum status. Nice size room, but really small bathroom. Again, just dated. My favorite part of the stay was the $18.50 breakfast buffet. Big guy cooking omelets was great. $22 a night parking was a gotcha, but it's a big city. Overall nice stay. March 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A warm stay I had a very pleasant time while staying here during my 5 Linx convention. I love how the bell men are at your beck and call from the moment you step foot on the grounds. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. However, I never felt special as a new SPG breakfast should have been given to me for my entire stay no matter what price I paid. Another plus is that the food was excellent, but the drinks were a bit watered down! September 16, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel does not have clean sleeping rooms I was in room 1249, in the South Tower, one of the dirtiest rooms I have ever been in during a hotel stay. Carpets needed cleaning and so did tile grouting on the floor. Daily service was inadequate and glasses and towels were not totally replaced some days. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great, Attentive Staff Majority of the staff at this hotel was great. They were friendly and tried to help every way possible. I had an issue with parking and personal request that I wasn't happy about, I spoke with the manager and she solved these issues immediately. May 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing staff made us feel like we were at home and family! From the moment we arrive everyone was super gracious and welcoming. All our needs were met and the staff was very attentive. I have never stayed at a hotel that has given me such a warm welcoming feeling. Especially Shirley in the Club Lounge. She was the most amazing woman, and attended to my family like we were her own. I can't wait to go back to Atlanta and stay here again! I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. May 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great staff The staff was above my expectation, friendly and helpful. June 2, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel has great staff and services, but the hotel needs improvement The Hotel wi-fi connection was terrible. In fact, there was none in any of the areas except your guest room. THIS REALLY NEEDS IMPROVEMENT! The hotel is configured strange and was hard to find your way around. The rooms were very small and I had a terrible view and a very small bathroom with a sink in the corner. And the elevators were very slow, too. The food was good and the staff were great - thank goodness! April 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by You'll get the service you expect I travel to this hotel twice a year on business. Despite the over capacity of the downtown area during the events I atttend, we are always amazed that the hotel concierge is able to get seating for us at our favorite restaurants. Another feature that makes life so much easier- the club floor lounge where the staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and remembers us from trip to trip! Just like visiting friends! Rated 4 out of 5 by This Hotel offers great hospitable service There was a lot of disturbances along the hallways late at night and early hours of the morninig that disturbed our sleep May 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Staff awesome, facilities sub-par Each and every staff we encountered were helpful, courteous, knowledgable and professional. These staff are an asset to the Sheraton company. The facilities however, left much to be desired. The air temperature controls in our room did not work so the temperature stayed uncomfortable the entire week. The television picture was blurred on every channel. The wi-fi connection was slow and frequently timed out. February 25, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Questionable stay Unfortunately, my stay at the Sheraton was not ideal. On the first morning I discovered that my shower was broken and had to call the staff to have it fixed. It was obvious that it had been broken before my arrival and either (1) no one had cleaned the shower or (2) someone cleaned my shower but did not report the broken faucet. Because of this, I was 45 minutes late for a meeting I was supposed to attend. November 20, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel Surpassed my Expectations I have to admit, I wasn't incredibly impressed when I walked into the hotel and then had to go through the vestibule and down a narrow hall and through the conference center to get to the elevators to my room. But the place grew on me over 5 days. The staff were excellent, the facilities were above my expectations. The conference food was excellent. I would return her in a heart beat. February 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff is superlative Sheraton Atlanta is a nice hotel, and what puts into the "outstanding" category is the staff. Every staff member I interacted with was engaging, friendly, and helpful. Many of my peers also noted how outstanding the staff is. This is a hotel that I would recommend and want to return to. Kudos to management for creating such an awesome work environment so that employees are genuine about their roles. December 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great room wrong rate Our room was very nice and the staff made sure it was very clean and comfortable. The interface with Komen was also very good. However, the rate booked was not what we were charged. The rate after the first night was to be a special rate based on my birth year. That was not the rate charged. The agreed to rate was offered by the central booking agency but the hotel did not honor that special rate. October 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by How do you do it? I was ready to write the place off after circling the block several times trying to find where on earth to park. Then I dragged my luggage down the blue walkway of death, BMWs whizzing by, hugging the concrete wall, and I swore never again! BUT THEN...I got inside...and I began to meet...the staff! As I live and breathe, it was as though they had passed my picture around to staff, promising them a generous retirement if they treated me like their best friend. Walk down a hall looking lost, and someone will offer to get you on track. Call the front desk, and your needs will be met cheerfully in 5 minutes tops. EVERYONE is cheerful and glad you are there. Yes the rooms are smaller than some places, and oh golly, you will never forget that Indiana Jones entry from the parking, but if you persevere, you are in for a wonderful and rare experience: hard working, happy, superbly trained staff. Rated 5 out of 5 by The service is amazing! Once again I have enjoyed being able to stay at a property that takes service as serious business. The employees that I have met all seem to have service as the most important thing in their mind. As a person that travels frequently, just to stay somewhere where every employee speaks, "Good morning" is a standard at this hotel. Thank you again for all of the outstanding service! Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location have stayed at this hotel several times now and the staff are always very nice, friendly and very helpful. The rooms are very nice but the bathrooms are too small and the sliding bathroom doors are awful also the lack of a small refrigerator in the room is a pain, although i'm told they are available but for a small fee.The buffet breakfast is ok a bit pricey but there is a 24hr diner up the street. Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton Downtown Atlanta Beautiful hotel, but I was very disappointed with the parking. HOTEL GUEST PARKING = $22 p/day for SELF park & $29 p/day for VALET. Self park guests park in the structure and then walk back down the incoming traffic ramp to get back to hotel. Parking should be free for guests or at the very least should offer rates that are more comparable with the public parking structures in the immediate area. March 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by wonderful hotel The hotel was clean and convenient to atlantasmart Amazing hotel staff, very helpful and eager to make your stay comfortable, even meeting guests with towels as we entered the hotel after an unexpected downfall!! Great Hotel!!! I highly recommend it! the only thing I might suggest is to have a distinctive line for star wood preferred guests that always has someone to help when check in is busy July 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great service, OK bed. If I could have fixed one thing, it would be the bed. While not bad, they were pretty hard and uncomfortable. The room itself was large and well laid out with everything you could want. The staff was extremely friendly as was everyone in the restaurants. A truly upscale experience. April 28, 2014
