Rated 4 out of 5 by Dog friendly I was very happy that we could bring our dog with us. The room was conveniently located near a dog walk. December 22, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great features, not enough parking, loud children, slow elevators and weak internet access in rooms. Not worth the resort fee. Cannot recommend unless you have to stay there. I understand that there are minor competitions but hotel security could have kept the noise down for other hotels. Your elevators were extremely slow and they are used by cleaning staff during the day so it becomes even slower at times of going out during the day. The internet access in some rooms is pathetic and the staff took about one hour of my check-in time to figure this out, even though I had told them that it was the Wi-Fi in the room. I was finally given a different room and the Wi-Fi there was also weak. If you come back late, you will have to park close to the opposite side of your building. It is very desolate and scary on that side at late times. December 22, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel Nice but Parking should be free I travel at least once a year to this area and always stay at a Disney resort. I was looking forward to giving a different hotel (close to Disney) a chance to see if it measures up. The front desk employee at check in was very cold and unaccommodating; I believe she may have been a manager. (She wore a tan suit jacket and had long dark hair) First impressions are big for me and will determine if I return or not. There are fees for parking, an extra cot, microwave, etc.. You do not find this in Disney. (The cot was not for an additional person either; it was because my mother found the bed uncomfortable and she has rods and pins in her neck) The room was nice and the view of the pool was very pretty. The housekeeping staff was very responsive and pleasant. The young men that worked at the front desk were very helpful and friendly; they assisted us with park and local travel information. There was no where in the in the hotel however to get change for the washers. I had to drive somewhere for quarters because the woman at the front desk said that she was 'all out'. I donot believe that I would return however due to the way we were treated upon check-in. After our stay at the Sheraton, we decided to stay 4 additional days so we checked out and went to a hotel at Disney. Even though the room was a little more money and the housekeeping staff was comparable at both hotels, I would probably choose to pay the extra money and stay for the entire trip at Disney when I return due to, again, the way we were treated upon arrival. There was also no control in the late evening hours (after midnight) of the noise at the pool. Several of us had to call to have someone ask the people drinking to please keep the noise down. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great value across the street literally from Walt Disney World A top notch choice if visiting WDW. Large suites available at excellent prices. December 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by just ok On balance a reasonable place, be aware that they charge an automatic 15% gratuity regardless of number of people, and there is a daily resort charge of 16.95. Don't get the pork chop..terrible. The work out room is great & there is lots of pool space, December 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Jr. suite This hotel is an excellent alternative when not staying at a Disney resort. December 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Loud AC Honestly, in terms of location and proximity to Disney World, this is a fine location. The complimentary bus shuttle to Disney World was extremely useful, appreciated, & free! This Sheraton is made up of four buildings. The main building (where you check-in) is the only part of the hotel that has interior-corridor rooms (I think). The other 3 buildings (called Palms 2, 3, or 4) have exterior-corridor access. I was in Palm 4 and felt the exterior part of the building to be dated. The elevator in Palm 4 is dirty and most likely a multi-purpose elevator used by guests and housekeeping staff, alike. Palm 4 is "suite-style" arrangements. Our room was fine and up to date. I wish the room was better vacuumed because long strands of hair were tracked into the tiled-bathroom. The air-conditioner is loud, but that was solved by wearing earplugs. I know this hotel has gone through significant renovation, but if there's a "phase II" project, I hope that it'll involve replacing the AC units in the Palms buildings. The staff were friendly and very helpful, right from the parking valet to check-in to guest services. I received two drink vouchers to be used at the hotel bar (thanks to Gold Status, I think). The bartender accepted them without issue. If you don't like children, then perhaps you may want to consider another hotel. Lots of families and children use the pools. Since the kids are on vacation, I observed that they're probably letting out ALOT of energy....be prepared. I applaud the pool-manager in trying to keep order and safety, particularly around the water slide. The pools remain open until 11pm, but I think the outdoor "tiki" bar remains open until later. Rated 4 out of 5 by great staff, nice stay Is this ok to put on the Sheraton Suites resorts page?? Good stay, excellent staff! Especially, @Robert Kane, the luggage attendant at Fort Lauderdale Westin knew my daughter and I would be staying in Orlando this past week for a national pageant she was competing in, for the title of Miss American Teen. He recommended this resort and made sure our stay was as carefree and lovely, as possible. He called to confirm we made it safely and was very professional, caring and fun! He was sincerely interested in our stay & our satisfaction with the resort, as well as my daughter's success! He wanted to make sure that she remembered this stay and he succeeded! My daughter didn't place in the tip 15-but She did wonderfully, and Mr Rob as she calls him, made her feel like a princess! Starwood should have more folks like this working for them! I'd like to thank him for his professionalism and helpfulness personally and hope that started recognizes what a great employee they have in him! I would also like to mention Alex, from the front desk who was also very helpful and polite whenever we needed anything. Thanks Starwood/Sheraton December 4, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel is convenient to Disney. I have used this hotel a number of times for its convenience to Disney. I did have issues checking out this time. Check-out is at Noon. We were late getting in the night before (Magic Kingdom was open until 1 AM). Went to get breakfast before they closed at 11 AM expecting to leave before Noon. When we got back to our room, cleaning had came in and actually put some of our things away in drawers. My son got concern about his iPad and my wife missed getting her flat iron. We think it must have been put in a drawer. Then, they try charging us another day because the cleaning people reported that we were still in the room. Remember, this all happen before the Noon check-out. I tried to checkout online thru the TV but couldn't so we just left since the front desk was so far away. December 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Travelling with 7 ib red poodle We had stayed at this property before, when it was the Sheraton Safari. What a transformation! Gorgeous, clean, well designed, good interior room lighting and very comfortable beds. I liked that the sink area was separate from the bath/ toilet area. Having a pet in the room is very important to us, so we very much appreciated the hotels pet cooperation policy. We'll be back. December 3, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not up to SPG standards This hotel needs alot of attention. Stay elsewhere. No water pressure, garbage cans always full and overflowing, rooms and elevators need attention. This is not Sheraton standard. December 2, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Impressed Although the hotel was close to many restaurants, I was very disappointed that this hotel is part of SPG. It's a pet friendly hotel and many pet owner's are inconsiderate. There was dog feces in halls and around vehicles. The bed was very firm and not comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was minimal. Many guests complained at front desk about this issue. Internet service was poor and slow. Hotel needs much improvement. Did not expect this from an SPG property. December 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My favorite hotel! This hotel is extremely comfortable, and the staff is amazing! It's my first and only choice when visiting Orlando! December 1, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unless it's free don't stay Room was dirty and area is very noisy. Would not recommend November 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by The staff is the very best I travel all over the country and the world, and while I have stayed in many hotels that are nicer than this one (it's perfectly fine, perfectly nice, clean -- just not the MOST luxurious) I have NEVER had the service I had here. At midnight Rodney the night auditor went to the store and got me contact lens solution and a case. All I did was ask if they had any, he offered, he went -- didn't even charge me for it (they must have a fund for such things?) and wouldn't take a tip! They were all really great.....go there for the service. November 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect Family experience Totally 5 star experience in a four star hotel. Sheraton Lake Buena Vista isn't five star like the famous ones, but the experience is 5 star. Bianca worked with us for weeks before arrival, and made sure we were treated like VIP's. The family suites were perfect for families, the breakfasts were great, the pools and hot tubs were excellent,, but the staff steals the show here. ALL outstanding. Beyond 5 star. ALL of them. Get family suites if you have kids. Sixteen of us had a wonderful famly vacation. You will too. November 30, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by odor from sheets I'm not exactly certain if some of the sheets were washed in our room. We like the your Sheraton and plan to come back in the Summer, but I will choose another location if the price is identical simply based on the experience of the odorous sheets. thanks November 30, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Worst SPG experience This by far as been my worst experience at a SPG hotel. It started with the checkin process. We arrived at 7:30 pm and the room still wasn't ready. We decided to go across the street and grab some drinks and dinner. We managed to get our keys and the I go to my room and then keys didn't work! I'm not an idiot, I know not to put these Keys near my phone. I go back down and finally managed to get another set. The checkin process is like the first impression and this hotel failed. I do not have high hopes for the rest of my stay. Also, there was no recognition of my SPG status. Worst hotel ever. Stay somewhere else when in Orlando November 28, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Average stay Average accommodation, service, amenities and food November 28, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by This Hotel had the best staff, and feature! We came to Orlando and brought 2 of our friends. We spent 3 nights and had a wonderful time. EVERY ONE OF YOUR STAFF TREATED US GREAT! We ate three meals in the hotel and they were fabulous. We so enjoyed the fire place outside. We asked for a place to play a dice game and were given the conference room 2 nights in a row. We thought we were treated very well. Thank you, Jim and Ginger November 27, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by One of worst sheratons I've stayed at Broken ice machine on my floor forced me to walk stairs to find one that worked. Remote for TV in sitting area didn't work. Low water pressure in shower. Air conditioning units were LOUD and kept waking me up. The room felt like a lower end hotel that has been fixed up some and had Sheraton branding slapped on it. Staff was very nice. November 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by very nice I have not stay here for over a year and was here before reno but they did a great job on the reno. The staff here are great very friendly and helpful and to my delight decent breakfast. Looking forward to going back. November 18, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hotel should be avoided. No response from management when contacted about less than satisfactory stay. Shuttle buses are poor--repaired with duct tape and not clean. Room was very noisy--If you are going to stay here make sure you don't end up in the building facing the main road unless you want lots of road noise. Resort fee is charged even though amenities are not used. This hotel is close to WDW and that is the only positive. Coffee in the room is not worth drinking. When comments were made there was a response saying the management of the hotel would be in contact. The stay was weeks ago so it seems they don't care to follow-up with someone who stayed twice this year but will avoid this location in the future! November 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Unimpressed I was on a business trip--was charged a resort fee of $16 dollars for what? I came in about 8:30 pm and left at 630 am the next day--you don't get the energy or feeling of a "resort"-the entrance and hallways seemed like we were back in the 50"s--not impressed with the appearance -- November 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Straight A:s The entire staff at this Sheraton goes ALL out in making the guest feel comfortable and welcome. From the boys out front to the reservation clerks to Louis in security, everyone did an amazing job for me and my guests. Special Thanks to Liz, Chef, AJ, Grace, and Mark..We will be back soon Richard November 14, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sheraton Buena Vista Not What I Expected From the Front desk to the cleaning staff everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They are all an asset to the Sheraton Hotel. I hope they are all acknowledged for that. Although the pool is a nice feature, I feel the hotel is much too lax with its regulations. I think 11 pm is too late for a pool to be open at night. Many people, including myself do not want to be kept awake by the noise that goes on so late by noisy adults and children. The last night of my stay I needed to get to sleep early in order to get up at 5:00 am to get to the airport on time. I had to turn the air conditioner up and the TV on in order to drown out the noise coming from the pool area. By the time I was asleep, I was awakened by people laughing, talking, kids yelling and running in the hallway and slamming the doors. Sorry, but this is one place I would not come back to. Rated 5 out of 5 by Over my expectation Hotel staffs are very willing to help our needed. It was a good place to stay November 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN ORLANDO This is an excellent choice hotel if you want to stay in a hotel close to the Disney parks and do not want to pay the prices of the Disney hotels. Very friendly staff and a great value for you money with the traditional Sheraton quality. November 12, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not as Clean as expected The first room that we were in was not a pool view, as I had requested, I would have had I leaned over the railing and hoped that I did not fall off to see the pool, and the building smelled of bug spray. (building 3) The front desk moved us to another room in the main part of the hotel, which housekeeping forgot to vacuum, and they also forgot to remove the dirty wash cloth from the previous guests, that was hanging on the shower rod in the bathroom. (1528) November 12, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by If you want a peaceful night, this ain't it. The room was clean and comfortable. The facility is old, but has been upgraded. The other guests in adjacent rooms and in the parking lot outside our room were loud and boisterous until late at night and were not policed by the staff at all. November 11, 2013
