I highly recommend this hotel. The room was very clean with all the standard modern amenities and had an amazing view of Manhattan. The front desk staff was very attentive, polite and helpful. The hotel restaurant had a great Italian menu selection that was absolutely delicious and not very pricey. The parking is reasonable for $25 a night and very easily accesible if you are going to be driving in and out during your stay. A ferry into NYC is available right across the street. A++ overall.

First, Masina restaurant Is only very average. Breakfast is the best bet. Stay away for dinner.
Check in is vey slow. No status recognition from anyone. Television channels are very limited you can't even watch Regular CNN here.
Beds are uncomfortable and it seems like the mattresses have never been flipped. I stay at the property every month as my office is across the street and I have never been welcomed back once. It's as though I am always a new guest here. Staff needs extensive customer service training.

I come to the city on very sporatic occassions and this is the hotel of my choice. The access to the city is outstanding and the personnel are so helpful. I'm coming back and bringing my colleagues.

Paying extra to stay on club level was a mistake. I have never seen such a poor example of a club lounge in a Starwood property - a very small room with very little seating and what was there was not inviting. It didn't matter cause there were few people there. Honor bar had 2 choices of very cheap wine and some beers. 3 small plates set out - one was empty, the other two had 3 or 4 pieces of something that I honestly couldn't identify. The next morning's breakfast was just as bad - some squishy white bread next to a toaster and some uninviting looking pastries. I did take an orange and went back to the coffee maker in my room.
Also, put television on and could not access any onscreen guide. Called "customer relations" on room phone - rang 2 minutes without any answer. Called again a few minutes later and asked about tv and was given a vague explanation about their carrier and why there was no access to onscreen guide. Worthless.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The kids enjoyed the pool.
The staff was very polite and helpful.

We have stayed at this hotel for many years whenever we go to NY Gift Show. This time we could not make reservations starting 1 year in advance because of the Super Bowl. No consideration for long time SPG members with long history of staying there. Made reservation for after the Super Bowl but when the weather turned sour called to add to the reservation and they made it very difficult, locking us out of our room, charging for breakfast buffet which was unetabie eggs cold,bacon coldl, anddoing nothing for our discomfort. Charged for parking but plowed us into our spot. The manager should have tried to please us NOT
