It was a pathetic stay experience - arrive at 1 am in night - room key for 433 does not work in 3 Ups and down the elevator and long walk with luggage on other side of tower as manager who promised to come to help never arrives, receptionist gets angry o compalint saying WHAT CAN SHE DO! complain to 800 number at 2:30 in middle of night to help - WAO! NEVER AGAIN - KEEP AWAY from it - in this much money they charge you can stay BETTER!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by nycbb516 Lovely hotel with great views and access to NYC
Very comfortable, large room. I enjoyed my stay. Only complaint would be that the music in the bar/restaurant was so loud that I chose to have a lonely room service dinner instead. Staff were wonderful. Next time I would ask for advice on getting to the turnpike. Maybe it's better to go south?

Rated 4 out of 5 by TravelGal4ever Great value and fabulous location
Hotel is located just across the Hudson River from Manhattan. Ferry is located right outside hotel and tickets can be purchased at the front desk. We were on the 10th floor (top floor) the view of Manhattan was stunning especially at night. Beds were very comfortable as they always are with Sheraton. Furnishing were well appointed. Complimentary bottled water in our room each morning (2 bottles). Front desk staff were very friendly and knowledgable of the area. I highly recommend staying here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LC12 New York City Sightseeing
We had the most perfect hotel for our sightseeing vacation last week in NYC. The hotel was exceptional, the staff was wonderful, the accomodations beyond our expectations and we were so happy we picked a hotel that was not "right in the thick" of NYC. We could spend our days taking in the sights and sounds of the city and then come back and take a pleasant and short ferry trip back to our beautiful and spacious hotel and room. It was away from the noise and hustle-bustle of Manhattan and a perfect way to unwind and relax after a non-stop day. The access to the ferry, right outside our door made the choice all the better for us. I would very highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning a trip to New York. We had a wonderful meal at a restaurant right down the street from the hotel that was booked by the hotel staff and the restaurant treated us like VIPs because we were guests at the hotel!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bernie123 Great view of NYC sykline, not business traveler friendly
The location is great. Beautiful view of the New York City Skyline and great local restaurants but the hotel is really lacking in many key areas that are unattractive to business travelers.
(1) No coffee available before 7AM on weekday! We tried getting it via room service but they said it was not possible, no coffee shops nearby. Hotel should provide coffee (for free or purchase) for early risers.
(2) Service in general was unhelpful. Was not business friendly. Could not find soap and shampoo in room. Reception did not have spare tooth brushes and tooth paste. No one would help call for a taxi. Not a very can-do / positive atmosphere. You are on your own.
With that said, good location in terms of beautiful view of the water and easy access to New York City.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MarkS Great weekend Stay
The hotel fully met our expectations. Its an easy trip over to NYC. there is a ferry stop right outside the door and an easy bus trip on the other side of the road. this is a great alternative to a Manhattan hotel.
