Rated 5 out of 5 by sewcool Great Location
There is no need to stay in the city, especially now that the ferry at the hotel runs on the weekends. The free buses that await you at the pier can take you to most of the subway locations that you would need. It is so nice to return to the quiet location of the hotel at the end of the day. Also, you have the million dollar view of the Manhattan skyline. If you need help, ask for Hector. He is great! Beware of long waits at the restaurant at dinner time. Reservations don't mean much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Traveler309 OK Hotel. Poor customer service.
The hotel is clean and meets the basic needs of business travelers.
However, the hotel staff is not trained well to cater to frequent customers, nor is the hotel equipped with basic conveniences for busy guests: e.g., No sundries shop, cash only vending machines with sold out selections, fitness room equipment in poor repair, restaurant is often not serving several menu items. All these things are met with indifference of the hotel staff, who seem powerless to rectify the issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 54Christi Great hotel with wonderful location
Great hotel. I heard that there was a remodel and I was very much impressed with how the hotel looked. I was in room 204, gorgeous, wonderful views! Everyone that I interacted with was very pleasant. I don't travel up that way often (ever) and happened to be there with a wedding group. However, I will be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone that is in need of accommodations that are near the city but without the hassel. Thank you for such a great experience.

I love this hotel. Have stayed here for the past 18+ years, every time I attend a trade show in NY. It's so convenient: easy parking and a ferry ride to NY (right behind Jacob Javitz Center). The view is spectacular, the location safe. The Accommodations are suites, spacious enough to spread out and do some work. It's a pleasure to reommend this hotel and this staff; they always remember me are are very hospitable.

Room was not ready when we arrived at 3:15. We were unable to communicate with the cleaning woman.....she did not speak any English. I attempted to play charades with her. We also received a 5:00am wake up call which we did not request. Could not get back to sleep after that call. On the positive side.....room was comfortable, clean and beautiful. The bed was also very comfortable.
We also had to stand in line for 15 minutes to check-out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by glamourgirl6 Great Way to Start the Year!
Stayed here over the New Year Weekend
Loved the free parking and ferry package
the first thing I got was the tickets for the ferry. My room was located on the 7th floor a non city view but when you looked out the window I could see the NY skyline and took an amazing photo of sun rise over New York. the ferry is footsteps from the hotel and it was quick. Worked well for me who headed to Times Square to ring in 2012 I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

We come to stay here at least once a year for my birthday and the view ,hotel quality and people have always been great.
However this year there were two things that did not meet normal great stardards. The West wing elevators were dirty and stayed that way thru the night even after I had made note of it to the front desk.
Plus while the club room floors are excellent, if you are not going to offer up better food, don't bother. The wines were passable though.

RESERVED 3 rooms - 2 to connect because of kids. Direct reservations made with Bridget. Got there and no rooms connecting. After a long time 2 connecting rooms found on 7th floor. The third room was 731. Only problem there isn't a 731. 3rd room was to be king size bed. Took 3 visits to assigned room before one had a king size bed.. "Computers don't give us correct info" per front desk. Room was comfortable and location is great need new front desk staff.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LRToronto Better staff responsiveness required
At the Sheraton, I expect a certain level of service. I stayed 3 nights. After the 2nd night, the room was not cleaned. When I asked the front desk about it, I was first asked if I had left a "do not disturb" sign on the door. I had not. Obviously if I had, I would not be asking about it..! I was offered no apology for the lack of service. They brought towels and coffee to the room after I asked. To be honest, I feel that to slip these things in the room without clearing away the old towels etc, is really lackluster on the staff's part.
Secondly, I'm not sure if the phone ringer was not working but I only received 3/6 wakeup calls during my stay. I asked for 2 calls per day (6 in total). I received 2 the first day, one the second, none the third.
At this rate, the staff is batting about 50/50.
Not what's expected for a $219/night stay in my opinion.

Great view from room. Big rooms that are very comfortable. The front desk staff was very knowledgable about things we wanted to do in NYC, especially Clinique! The restaurant we only used for breakfast our last day- the service was terrible, the waiter had an attitude, and they " lost" our AAA traveler money card for about 10 minutes- my husband went crazy after the staff searched they finally found it, it had large amount of money on it!!

Very nice place with great location. Everyone was nice. The only problem was that we had signed up with the wedding block and everyone was all over the hotel. Everyone was saying we should have been together, such as on the same floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NYtourist Great way to visit NYC!
The views were spectacular of the NYC skyline. We walked 20 feet to the short ferry ride to the city. The hotel was minutes off the highway with no traffic or stress. We parked our car in the hotel lot. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the room was newly remodeled and very comfortable. If I new how easy it could be to visit NYC this way, we would have done this trip years ago! We will be back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rrbreeze Great location
This was our first trip to NYC. I was very nervous about staying in N.J . I want to say that the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor met all of our needs. Transportation to the city was so quick. And easy, only took 5 min by bus or ferMany places to eat within walking distance of hotel. Our only complaint was we feel the hotel should have mini fridges as a standard in the room. We would definetly recommend the Sheraton, and would stay again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BillN Sleep here, dine elsewhere
Now especially that the Manhattan ferry at the door runs on weekends, this is a tremendous value for suite accomodations. But while the restaurant prepares a varied menu well and at a fair price, service was slow and chaotic at dinner, and non-existent for breakfast: the staff couldn't find us a table when we arrived, and when we returned five minutes before 11:00, the posted closing time, we were told that we were too late.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tony17 Nicest People work here
We stayed at this location the third week of October 2012 with my family, the location is fantastic, but the people who work here are some how magically selected, everyone was so helpful and nice , specially Addie and Carmen. My 2 daughters , 3 and 5 years old did not want to leave. The rooms are spacious and the train, bus and boat terminals are next to the hotel. The view is amazing .
Thanks again to thew staff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BobSFW Excellent Place to Rest Your Head
The accommodations were very comfortable and the view unsurpassed of downtown Manhattan. The only minor critique offered is the shower head provides only a weak stream of water instead of a vigorous shower. The restaurant did mostly an outstanding job (pasta one night was very overcooked) and the service was outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Linda1943 Beautiful & Quiet Location
I entertained visitors from Italy here within past week. Hotel had an Italian speaking concierge which helped tremendously. We used the ferry & it was nicer than going through the congested, smelly Lincoln Tunnel...once arriving in NYC there are 3 busses to transport to either uptown, midtown, or downtown...all in the price of the ferry ticket. Parking lot secure & patrolled by security. Hoboken just minutes away.

Rated 2 out of 5 by FerrariFixedOps Stay gone wrong
My wife and I booked a city/river view room and we arrived found that our room had been given away and had to take another room with a limited view. It was discounted $50.00 but when you looked online you see the room rate was in line with what they charged us. So really there was no discount at all.
I have stayed here many times and this was the first time I have had this type of problem. Not sure if I will return

Rated 4 out of 5 by lechilango Fantastic view on Manhattan Skyline
This hotel, just outside Lincoln Tunnel was a real surprise on all points of view.
The view from the room window was breathtaking, day or night.
The room was perfect.
The staff very friendly.
And last but not least, it was surrounded by great Restaurants at walking distance.
The only defect it had, was the internal Restaurant (Italian Food), where Service was really terrible.
It is a place to NEVER HAVE BREAKFAST.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TRK27 Nice view of NY city
Nice place but was not as clean as we were expecting. We stayed 1 night on 9th floor then 4 nights on 10th floor. Carpets in both rooms were not very clean! And some areas of both rooms had lots of dust. Vending machine on 10th floor was broke for all 4 days. I called to complaine 2 times. Never was fixed. Also catching the bus to go over to NY was horrible. Never on time and we usually ended up stuck in traffic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CitizenB Best Manhattan hotel outside Manhattan
Great location to visit NYC without having to drive in NYC. Spent one great Saturday night in this hotel and took the ferry to Manhattan and back. Hotel has convenient self-parking on a security monitored lot, worth the price. Booked cash+points which is a great value, received an upgrade to club floor. Breakfast in Trattoria Masina was nice. I would return any time.

With the parking charges and internet charges the advantages of staying in NJ as opposed to Manhattan are no long so great. Room was good and clean, but hall carpets worn and wallpaper dirty. Room service desserts were not so good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MagicNancy Great location for activities in Manhattan
The hotel's location on the Hudson River and the ferry dock at the hotel made the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor an excellent "home base" for a visit to Manhattan. The ferry service combined with the shuttle buses made it simple to get anywhere in Manhattan. We either walked, took a taxi, or used public transit from the shuttle bus stops. It was just as convenient as staying in Manhattan, but at a better price!

We were upgraded to a city view room. Had a delicious Sunday brunch at the Chart House next door. Ferry to NYC just outside, $9 pp each way, leaves you off at 39th St., NYC. Short walk to Hoboken along the promenade. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by OrlandoBusinessTraveler Nice location, decent amenities.
The location is really nice. Out of the city, but only a short 10 minute ferry ride to the city. Ferry is conveniently located adjacent to the hotel. Reserve a room higher than the second floor, however, as meeting rooms are on the first and second floors. Set-up for the meeting rooms generally occur extremely early in the morning and have a tendency to wake guests around 5:30 to 6:00 AM.

If your going to NYC this is the place to stay. ferry & bus transportation right out the door & rail service only a couple blocks. The view of Manhatten was fantastic. River walk beautiful from hotel to Hoboken. Every safe place to stay & walk any time of the day.

From the moment we checked in to the many times the staff went above and beyond. This was our first time to the NY area. We were advise on how to catch the Ferry, ideas where to eat, and more. When we got caught up in the Flu epidemic the hotel staff even located a clinic close by, called and set an appointment, and provided easy to follow instructions.Thank you so much, we will see you again!
