Rated 5 out of 5 by Looking forward to staying here again! Front desk was extremely helpful in getting the best room available for us and for late check out, both which we really appreciated. They were friendly, courteous and very helpful! September 24, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Front desk unwilling to address my bill dispute We have been staying at this hotel each year for our anniversary celebration. This year, upon checking out, I noticed that our ferry trip nor our parking was included in the price. The email offer I had responded to clearly promised these extras. Paying extra for these things was not important. However, the way the front desk dismissed me, told me there was nothing that they could do and told me to write to the "main office" was embarrassing and humiliating. I will not return. Rated 1 out of 5 by My Bad Experience I arrived at the hotel and asked for a Harbor view room if available not knowing all rooms are Harbor view. The agent changed my room from Starwood Guest high floor to the 2nd floor and told me it is a Harbor view room. I went to the room and found out there are multiple Air Conditioning units right outside my Windows, forget about Harbor view. The hotel agent did to me was unprofessional and I should have asked for refund. It was the worst experience I ever had as a 10 years Platinum member. I will never stay in this hotel again. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay, but I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, and I really like it. One quibble from my most recent visit: on our first night, there was no water bottle in the room, that one that they leave on the coffee table and charge you four bucks for if you drink it. So we never drink it. My wife said, "Finally they got that $4 water bottle out of here." The next day it was back. When we checked out, we were told that they would send us the invoice via e-mail, and sure enough, the missing water bottle was on it. I left a message to call me and take it off, and I never heard anything back from them. Lesson: don't let them e-mail your invoice at checkout. September 2, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by My latest stay Front desk always seems to have a line for check in. Desk staff did not recognize my Platinum status. Restaurant would not seat me for breakfast. Asked to wait 15-20 minutes because 2 parties were coming in at 8am. Majority of tables were vacant. I spent $1000 to stay 3 nights and was not given any preference as a guest? November 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by T.V. Great hotel stayed many times. I was disappointed with the selection of t.v. channels. I would have called the front desk and let them know but I didn't want to waste time seeing it was a short stay and t.v. wasn't my top priority. It would have been nice to watch some t.v. the few hours I was in the room September 1, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good size rooms/high parking fee/average stay I've stayed at this hotel many times before, and feel the disappointment each time I'm slapped with a $25 parking fee, which used to be free. It doesn't feel right to me that a hotel In NJ, outside of Manhattan, is charging a parking fee that high. During my last stay, I happened to use points, so my stay was basically free, beside the $25/day parking fee. Just wish that I had picked a NYC hotel instead, if I were to spend that kind of money on parking. I also did not get housekeeping service during my 2-day stay, which made me wonder if it was skipped b/c of points usage/free stay. If it wasn't for the parking fee charged as extra, I would probably return in the future, but to me, this hotel does not offer the same value that it used to. October 29, 2013
