This is no 4 star hotel, I travel weekly all over the world, I have never seen an establishment of this type , nobody is manning the bar, which is the only place in the hotel to eat on Sunday, let along Saturday for lunch. I had to Waite for a long time before I decided to get off my ! And walk over to the front desk to ask for service, which happened three times,only to get the same server from dinner the night before, no personality, plus the guide Micheline awarded restaurant must be false, not up to the standards, oh well , live and learn. I will not return to this substandard hotel, I have choices and will use them in future booking.

I have stayed at this hotel many many times, I have written glowing reports about this hotel in the past also. However stayed here at the end of April, and we were really unimpressed with the service.
This little gem still has a lovely room, but the service has gone really down hill.
An important part of a room, especially when you are on a leisure trip, and in a 4* hotel, is a well stocked bar mini and room service, and the Sheraton used to have this. No longer - the minibar is ultrabasic, no wines, nor nice bubbly or even a mini bottle of whiskey or vodkas as is the norm. If you have room service, that's not so much a problem, however now the Sheraton staff told me that bars were all locked up and it was not possible to have a drink. Coming back to yr hotel in the evening, this is the minimum I should be able to expect. I mentioned this to the staff and they said - that's how it is!
Us not coming back to this hotel, that may be how it is!

Well-located in a quiet neighbourhood, yet a few minutes walk in any direction and you are in the centre of shopping, offices, or entertainment. As a global CEO who averages over 150 nights of travel each year, this little gem meets and exceeds every expectation-- the facilities are maintained and functional to the highest level, with a staff that are as professional as they are genuinely warm and personable. We stayed at the Hotel for 4 nights! It was an excellent stay overall! Staff was really responsive to our requests and the overall ambience was great! Also a very convenient location to reach the city center.

The mark of distinction in hotel service is its staff and the degree to which one's expectations and needs are met. Mr. Johann Barsch, Front Office Mgr, and Anina Caviezel were exemplary of professionalism in responding to or anticipating my needs. My room was perfect and underscored a special journey to Zurich with an aura of "Welcome Home!". Thank you all.

The Neues Schloss definitely has the feel of a small family-run hotel, especially when it comes to the attentive service. We arrived early, at 9:30am, and were told our room wasn't ready and we were offered breakfast. After that, we left our bags with concierge and went about our day. We returned in the late afternoon, to find that our bags were already in our room as we were given our key. Our suite, was cosy (that is, not very big), but it was well maintained, had great light-flow, and a lovely terrace, which made all the difference!
It would be perfect if it had an executive lounge. And unfortunately for us, rates were exorbitant for the dates we stayed. Ultimately, we chose it for its proximity to the city centre.
Special mention must be made of two staff members, who have made our stay particularly memorable: Anina, from Front Desk, and Charlotte, from the café. Anina was most helpful with advice about transportation to restaurants, while Charlotte, whom we had the pleasure of meeting every morning at breakfast, was warm and cheerful.
