Hotel is well maintained. Staff is friendly and has great shuttle service into Pasadena and is located just a couple blocks from middle of city. Room is spacious and has a big refrig.

Hotel has a policy in which the AC cannot be lowered below 70 regardless of the customer's comforts. I requested the manager contact me 4 times and no attempt was made to do so.

While the glow of a great vacation/stay in Pasadena is still very fresh, I'd like to tip my hat to some of the very best service I have received almost anywhere for anything in a very long time. The Staff at the Sheraton Pasadena was so exemplary, truly I was sad to leave to head home. That hasn't happened for longer then I can remember!!
Starting with the Reservation Coordinator when I wanted to add days AND use SPG points for just part of the stay. HE went out of his way to address every need, including traveling with a 78yr old gentleman who had recently suffered a fall. He got us great ground trasportation to/from the Hotel. Once we arrived, it just got better and better every day - and this was with really bad weather. There is so much I could rave about - our beds, the front desk staff, the complementary Shuttle for the general Pasadena area, although YOU can basically walk everywhere from this hotel in Pasadena. The best location, the best staff, it was the best trip in a very long time. When I left, I feel like I left a whole new set of great friends....that I can't wait to visit again.

Perfect location. Lots to do in Pasadena. The hotel is very clean and so was our room. The staff was great and we couldn't have been more comfortable. Perfect time there.

I'm allergic to feathers. Asked my room to be cleared of feather pillows and bedding. It was only partially done. Had a miserable night. Heavenly bed was not heavenly.

This was our third stay at the Sheraton Pasadena. We have never been disappointed in the service we receive. Whenever we are in California this is our first choice.

The room has a flight of stairs that were downright terrifying in the dark! Noisy throughout the night with loud talking in the hall. Are the doors not soundproof?

Don't have the eggs benedict for breakfast melon hard, potatoes cool and no flavor, toast wasn't toasted, tiny bit of ham. Room are very nice and staff pleasant.

Have stayed at this location numerous time, it needs a face lift. Service at check-in poor, food in restaurant below average, lumpy bed, poor ventilation.

Overall my experience at Sheraton Pasadena was good, but here are some ideas for improvement: supply a hook on back of bathroom door for hanging robe, etc.; supply rubber mat (even for roll-in shower) for floor of shower stall, for safety; supply night light in bathroom, for night safety; and include PBS station on TV line-up. When I called the front desk to ask about why no PBS station, I was asked by desk person "what is PBS?" Apparently this young person never watched Sesame Street! I explained what PBS is. PBS is my favorite station and I missed several good programs because you didn't include the station. Our taxes are paying for this programming, so get with it and provide this service to guests!
The room and hallway decor was BORING. Beige, brown, in all sorts of patterns and shades. No pizzazz at all (checkers, herringbone patterns, dots, etc.).
Complementary continental breakfast was excellent, especially fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, small pastries. Lovely presentation.
Restaurant Soleil's food excellent, and beautifully served. All wait staff were pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful and take into account food preferences.

This is a very nice hotel, the staff are very attentive, and I will likely stay here again. But it has a few quirks to be aware of. I was surprised by my Starwood Preferred room (#125). Upon entering, there are five steps down from the corridor. The closet and bath are on the same level as the corridor and the bedroom is on a lower level. This makes the ceiling in the bedroom nice and high, but requires navigating steps all the time. The room has a large patio, but the patio, and the view from the room, look directly into a blank wall, giving the feeling of being in a basement (because the adjacent pool is up at the corridor level and the room is sunken). Not horrible for an overnight, "red-eye stay" with the curtains closed, but definitely not pleasant or inviting if you are in the room during the daylight hours. So be aware of this set of rooms. I am sure that other parts of the hotel are much nicer. Also, there isn't valet parking. The self-parking is very convenient, but it is in the same garage as the Pasadena Convention Center. If there is an event going on, parking can be scarce. And entering or leaving the garage can take considerable time if you happen to coincide with the end of an event.
