Rated 2 out of 5 by Zephyr Nothing is free but the noise.
The room was so small we had to put the suitcases on the bed in order to move around the room. Additional charge for Wifi in the room, charged $18.00 a day extra to park one vehicle, $2.00 to make a LOCAL call, H-Vac system was so noisy we had to close the bathroom door to cut down the noise coming through the vent. Smoke alarm started chirping at 11:00 at night because the battery went dead. Food was so-so. Definitely won't stay at a Sheraton again.

I'm allergic to feathers. Asked my room to be cleared of feather pillows and bedding. It was only partially done. Had a miserable night. Heavenly bed was not heavenly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zoe02184 Great conference location
I just returned from a six-night stay at the Sheraton Pasadena and can't recommend it highly enough. It's conveniently located right next to the Conference Center/Civic Auditorium, plus it's very close to Old Pasadena, which makes it perfectly located for business and travel alike. From check-in to departure, the staff were consistently friendly, helpful and ready to accommodate your requests--they were the best part of the experience!

Rated 4 out of 5 by LusciousL Starwood Preferred Really Means Preferred!
This hotel is what a Starwood experience should be. Starwood preferred guest get feature rooms with high ceilings, paio and a step down sleeping with the bathroom on a separate level. The staff was really hospitable and went above and beyond. The only issue was there are not enough electrical outlets on the desk.

Rated 3 out of 5 by John72 Good but disappointing
The hotel itself is very nice--the room is clean and very well appointed. I was frustrated to have reserved a King Deluxe but when I arrived I was informed that they only had doubles left. This, however, was a lie as the manager was able to put me in a regular king with a few taps on the keyboard. I was also disappointed that internet access was not included ($9.99 per day seems a bit stiff) nor was parking ($15/day--but not valet).

Rated 5 out of 5 by sadao2012 three times is a charm...
this was my third visit to the sheraton pasadena hotel for the month of may, 2012. and i did enjoy each of my visits. my first impression of this hotel was the friendliness and professionalism of the front desk staff. you are met cordially, receive your room key package in no time and you're off to your room. enjoyed my breakfast buffet at the soleil restaurant with all day coffee refills. regretfully, i did not make it to the gym. at this hotel's location, we are in easy walking distance to the south lake avenue district and old pasadena. best of all, you are right back of paseo colorado - a shopping mall with macy's, scores of restaurants and bars and shops. best of all was gelson's super market with everything you could possibly need. the sheraton pasadena hotel is centrally located in pasadena. enjoy the staff, the facilities and the location. great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by EMS1111111 In desperate need of a renovation
- Gym facilities were woefully inadequate. Located in a windowless room with low ceilings. At 6'3" I couldn't use the eliptical machines nor the treadmill without hitting my head on the ceiling. Come on.
- A/C in room was incredibly noisy and made it sound like someone was trying to get into my room all night long.
- Good location in the heart on Pasadena.

We have spent time at the facility before and we were very pleased with the service and accommodations the first time .This time was no exception. From the moment we checked in, to our check out time we were welcomed as though we had come home.
Natalie was very helpful and attentive and what a great smile!. We also heard from Virginia the manager, she too, was very gracious and helpful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by wearyTraveler05 Food Disappointing
I was highly disappointed with the quality of the food. My room service soup arrived luke warm and my salad was over dressed and inedible with under-cooked shrimp.
The next night we had calamari and it came out soggy and disgusting.
The bonus of this hotel is the many restaurants within walking distance.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PULAOKHAO AVERAGE EXPERIENCE
For the price paid, it was just average value. Location is good. Parking is expensive at $18 ; it was not clear to me whether it would be cheaper to pay the convention rate for night for $10 directly to parking instead of hotel but front desk said it would be charged twice once past midnight. do not know if that is true. room was excellent; had fridge but no microwave. ask for room overlooking the front or Cordova St and not back or convention center. Great location. Expensive breakfast with average food. The staff did what they were supposed to but were not friendly or helpful. For example, there was NEW YORK TIMES at front desk and I asked for one and checkout clerk grudgingly and reluctantly gave me one. My starwood rewards membership was never acknowledged and i was denied an upgrade to club floor even though i had called earlier to request one. I found the bed comfortable

Rated 3 out of 5 by Natalie Staff shortage?
None of our voicemail messages were retrievable. The message light never went off even after asking for someone to come to the room to fix it. which never happened. The banquet for the Questers which we attended was very so-so. The desserts both nights were almost identical.
My vegetarian meal on the first banquet night was 80% spinach with ravioli but no sauce. Not good. The chicken entree the others had, however, was considered good.
The walls were so thin between some rooms that one of our friends said she could hear the guy in the next room snoring. Yikes.
We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as it was way overpriced. One friend had orange juice , toast and coffee and it cost her more than the buffet. How ridiculous is that.
The staff themselves were very nice, but as I said, it seemed the hotel staff was shorthanded. Maids were still cleaning rooms when we went to dinner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by D1984 Convenient
The room was exquisite and the bed comfortable. Downside was that the electrical outlets were far and few in between. The complimentary water can also be confusing since the larger bottle is not complimentary but is next to the complimentary one.
Geovanni at the front desk was pleasant to interact with.
The hotel is literally within a walks distance of banks, restaurants, rail and other attractions.

Operator stated she thought she could help but was useless. very bad exerperience for a Platinum customer. Restaurant issues with waitress not getting order correct.

Rated 2 out of 5 by stephanie14 This hotel did not meet my expectations
I was excited to stay in the Pasadena area and booked this Sheraton hotel. Compared to other Sheraton locations, this did not meet my expectations at all.
There were overpowering odors throughout the hotel, specifically in the lobby area of the hotel. The elevator was long as took forever. The hotel staff were not knowledgeable about good places to eat in town. The rooms were okay, a bit dated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MrAAAAA Sheraton Pasadena Hotel
-Very short and convenient commute to the Pasadena Convention Center.
-Variety of nearby stores and shops in the immediate area.
-First floor suites have about six stairs from the entrance door, due to the level difference from the door to the bedrooms.
-Parking fee is issued to guests staying at the hotel at $18 (U.S.) per day.
-Wifi is broadcasted by the hotel with a usage fee.

Rated 2 out of 5 by cap59 Very worn condition
The hotel is in need of repairs and updating. Walls and woodworking are scuffed, wallpaper pealing, popcorn ceilings are FILTHY (are these rooms that were previously smoked in?) and in general the hotel has a run down, out of date appearance. Staff members are awesome, hotel restaurant was good and Bedding is comfortable but I would not stay there again. Elevators extremely slow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JD0119 Room for improvement
I was on town for 6 days on business and the Internet was down for 3 and a half of those days. There is only so much that can be done from a phone. That was bad, but worse was that I kept getting the run around of when I could expect it to be fixed. Then on day 4 the techs came to my room, did something to the router and Internet was up again.
Needless to say not pleased

Rated 2 out of 5 by TryOtherHotels This hotel needs improvement.
There were loud noise until midnight from the swimming pool area for at least two days in a row. The hotel did not regulate the hours of the pool party.
The front-desk service during our stay was below average. We had two problems in our two bills and four times of non-working parking key cards and room cards. The staff fixed the problems but the process took long time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by GymMom Great Location, Clean
We picked this hotel because it was attached to the convention center and it worked out well. It's a short walk to lots of shopping and restaurants, too. The room was clean, and we appreciated the desk and easy chair. But for four people, the beds were not OK. (Double beds are hard to share with anyone but an intimate partner, esp when they're soft so you roll towards the middle.) And, despite reserving for four people we only had 3 sets of towels, 2 cups, etc. Just not enough supplies. Even though we were out of the room all day, at 5:30 pm I had to call to get our room made up. Breakfast was very good quality, but not worth the high price of the bufffet; it would've been nice to see a menu with some lower cost items. (Single item prices are so high that the buffet is really the only option.) Day 2, we ate across the street instead. Over all, this hotel was fine, but a few changes could've made the experience great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by End21189 Good hotel with nearby attractions!
Pros: onsite amenities, upgraded to a club room for free. Desirable location, within walking distance to the Pasadena mall! Cons:$18/day parking fee, which I had not learned of until I checked in! Had I known, I might have considered elsewhere. I asked for a room away from elevators, instead I was next to the elevators and it got noisy at night and in the early AM.

Rated 1 out of 5 by hula Frustrating Experience
I booked 2 rooms for the weekend for my wedding party. I was charged an additional room for 2 nights for my stay here, I'm still trying to get a hold of accounting for a refund. Also, parking was crowded because Sheraton guests had to share the lot with convention guests. Overall, a horrible experience.

All personnel encountered were very pleasant, helpful and professional. Room and Club Lounge and public areas were clean, pleasant and orderly. Enjoyed Loung amenities & morning newspapers delivered to door. Appreciated refrig & room safe. Easy walking distance to many venues. Enjoyed our stay. Parking was $18/day which seemed a big high to us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BK45 Good not great
Suited basic needs OK. Beds need improvement. So does carpeting. Pool needs a waitress. Having to step into Soleil dining room in your bathing suit to order was a little weird. Pool food was great but cocktails were not. Margaritas terrible. Great shuttle service. Check-in woman could've been friendlier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by paloo33 A very nice stay......
My two-day stay was very nice. The hotel is in a nice, secure area and conveniently located near a mall with restaurants and a movie theater complex.
The staff were very helpful with my questions and eager to make sure my stay was comfortable.

The staff as always was friendly, attentive and as always - wonderful. The service was great!
The only negative was the internet wouldn't work; tried rebooting modem and after trying the IT number several times and being placed on hold for 5-10 minutes (no one picked up) I gave up and just took the SPG points instead of the internet use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ubtraveler1 Another Wonderful Stay!
I frequently travel to the Pasadena area on business and would highly recommend the Sheraton Pasadena, especially to Platinum members. The staff is always extremely cordial and quick to thank me for my loyalty to Starwood Hotels. I am always given access to the Club Lounge, which is a very nice perk! I will continue to return regularly!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Flamingo16 Excellent staff
The best thing about the Sheraton in Pasadena is the amazing staff. Everyone was so kind and the people at the check-in desk are very good listeners. They understood exactly what I needed and asked for clarification when I indicated everything with the room wasn't perfect (I may be allergic to the disinfectant sprayused in the rooms).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jim112 Great location and easy parking
The hotel is nice and well maintained. Our room was comfortable and breakfast and hors d'oeuvres in the Club Lounge are very nice. The only drawback was that while he tried very hard, the concierge on duty during the day was not sufficiently familiar with the Pasadena area to be helpful in planning shopping activities in the area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Askedtodosurvey2013 Great except...
The housekeeping staff was so friendly and helpful! Everything about the stay was wonderful except the check-in process. The check-in person, named Everen was not friendly at all and was quite rude. I thought he may have been stressed out, because it was IMATS weekend. Either way, his attitude and demeanor were both unfriendly.
