Rated 4 out of 5 by Sandman58 Great place for a getaway to Pasadena
This hotel is centrally located and near Old Town with things to do, see, and eat. The staff was professional and courteous. They recommended great restaurants to dine at and were helpful in making our stay enjoyable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DPkooljazz Weekend at Sheraton
Nestled right in the heart of Pasadena walking distance from Colorado Ave, the Sheraton is an excellent place to select when you are planning a stay in Pasadena. You have all the Sheraton comfort and a nice residential neighborhood. It takes the "hotel" feel away.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shel2014 Nice
Nice, clean, comfortable. Nice having a refrigerator in the room. Disappointed they didn't have a spa or jacuzzi with the pool. TV kept shutting on and on and switching back to Sheraton ad channel. A little on the small side but fine for a short stay. Located within walking distance to old town Pasadena and many fine restaurants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JPLvisit Good for Govt travellers
This hotel is in a good location in Pasadena and accepts the government per diem rates, though parking and breakfast are on the pricey side. Rooms are clean and comfortable except for noisy air conditioning.

This hotel desperately needs a renovation. Matresses so old gave me a back ache. in room chairs uncomfortable. work desk adequate. Club lounge food above average but small lounge. Service staff very nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by dja515 This hotel needs some work.
The hallway of the floor smelt like mold for the wedding party. One of the five rooms booked had a water leak prior to our arrival at which the carpet was still damp and smelt of mold; also the AC unit was not working in this room. The second room had a very loud AC unit that would kick on like a jet engine which interrupt sleep; also one of the double beds seem to have an old mattress as it was uncomfortable and springy. Overall the room appearance of this hotel is not up to par with the Starwood fleet: as it is very drab, low budget furniture, and horrible/ dorm room style setup. Guest services was rude and not sympathetic about the room with the mold smell until maintenance advised the party would need to stay in another room due to them needing to sanitize and dry the rug; however, all guest services did was relocate to a different room- no real apology was made and it seemed as if we were a bother.

Rated 4 out of 5 by FAB760 great location for shopping
My wife and I stayed here last minute just to get away and do some shopping. we were within walking distance to a great variety of shops and a cool little outdoor mall. The hotel itself was very nice, the staff is friendly and happy to direct you to whatever it is you are looking for.

Each and everytime I have stayed at the property has been a wonderful experience. As a female traveling alone I feel very safe and secure in the hotel and area. The entire staff is very friendly, helpful and goes above and beyond for their guests. Thank you for another wonderful experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KCE1 Food Service (Charlie’s Grill) needs help
Took exasperated bar keeper to get us menue’s, drinks and service after 15-20 minutes of sitting in bar area. There were only 6 other folks inside bar area. He was nice enough when he finally came by our table; but was drippin with sweat. The unhealthiness of that grossed me out. I am sure some of his sweat beads landed in my Cobb salad, and overpriced 1/2 cup of children’s macaroni and cheese they charged us for 7.95. We were in a group of 5 and it took over an hour to get out of there…They really needed help in there…I wish he would have asked for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by guest47 Our stay
We were very disappointed when we got into our room. The room was not an SPG room and every time we go somewhere the same thing happens. This was a special night and I was not willing to just say okay. We were told when we checked in that we were getting an SPG room and we expect one and we did not get that. So I made a call to the front desk and they eventually changed our room. I appreciated that.
One other thing was that the restaurant was on the pricy side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by momi7 Love the Pasadena Sheraton
This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at! The staff, from the front desk, to the maids, to the restaurant and bar staff are fantastic. I always feel at home when I come here. In addition, it's so convenient to the conference I attended next door at the Pasadena Conference Center.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nickel14 this hotel has an excellant staff
Husband had a health emergency requiring calling 911 at 9pm. Staff was most accommodating that night and all days afterward. We had to extend our stay 2 additional nights.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RSVCHI good stay
Overall the hotel is nice. When offered the room i was given information on the location and asked if that location would present an issue (it was near an elevator). This is very much appreciated. On the other hand, I reported a mystery substance that appeared in my second sink everytime i used the primary sink. Staff informed me that maintenance would be notified, but after dealing with it for a couple of days i thought they would be a little more sympathetic. Minor issue to an overall good experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by StarwoodGuest1 It's not the Westin
This building is old and stodgy. It is in great need of updating. Given the price per night, it is not a repeat stay. It seems to be primarily a business hotel in a building that is simply not being cared for or upgraded. The photos on the website are deceiving. I stay exclusively at Starwood properties whenever possible. This should not be considered part of the starwood collection unless it is renovated. I will not stay here again unless it is refurbished.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kody2014 Noisy guests with children
Unfortunately, we were placed on the second floor where there were several families with small children. And, the parents were allowing their children running up and down the hallway and screaming in the early morning. We wished they had given us a room on a floor with business people. Rather than ask for a different room because we were only staying two nights, we endured the sleepless mornings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by John2 A little tired
We have stayed at the Sheraton Pasadena several times over the years. It is a convenient location when we visit family in Pasadena. However, it seemed a bit tired this time. Our room had frayed carpet, a plumbing access panel (I think that was what it is) that was badly in need of something--paint, replacement?? Hallway carpets need cleaning/replacement.
Our particular room felt like we were part of a jail activity yard--looking out over nothing but empty concrete (room 117).
We will probably return just because of the location, but may look into the Westin next time.
While we used points, I would say that it was worth no more than $150/night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PasadenaTrip2014 Great facility; extras pricey
I had a very comfortable and relaxing experience with this hotel. I truly appreciated the 'Go Green' Program which allowed you to deny linen service and earn $5 vouchers towards the restaurant/room service. I believed the food to be somewhat overpriced, but the voucher program helped with that. Also, parking is expensive, so be prepared ($18/night self-park) Highly recommended hotel, great location, friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful walking distance to Old Pasadena.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kaets64 Conveniently adjacent to Civic Center
My stay with Sheraton Pasadena was to attend my daughter's wedding which was held at the Gold Room in the Civic Auditorium and her reception at the Ballroom there also. I'm impressed with the convenience of being able to get ready for the event in the comfort of my room, then just walk the short distance from there to the wedding location. It was a comfortable stay at the hotel, made better by the convenient location to the Civic Center.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DCAug2014 Facility showing its age
Carpets torn in my "Club Room" on either side of the bed. Cob webs above the flat screen on the wall. Club Rooms are nothing special nor different from the standard room. Decor is drab, out dated and showing its age. Expected a bit more... Coffee machine in Club Lounge was milk attached for Latte, milk was not refrigerated at all and stayed in the side box warm all 3 days of my stay. Mentioned it, but nothing was done. Breakfast food "warmer" didnt keep breakfast warm. Not enough food to accommodate all Club Guests there. That said, have to give excellent credit to all facility staff for personable service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Barb61 Nice Hotel in a Great Area
The location of the hotel is wonderful - just 2 blocks from the great shopping and restaurants of Colorado Blvd and near City Hall. The hotel is up to typical Sheraton standards. Just wish they had a larger pool and a jacuzzi. It has a nice fitness center (small but enough equipment). We were attending a wedding at the hotel and enjoyed our stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by taxiwaiter okay experience
hotel was fine, but had to wait an hour for a cab/ride to the airport. The guys at the desk said they'd ordered taxis - they never came - finally they called a town car, but still it took an hour for someone to come. Good thing I was allowing extra time for traffic, etc. It would have been very annoying to miss my plane - the hotel should make sure they have transport available - it was 3:00 in the afternoon - a time that transport should be available without concern

Rated 4 out of 5 by bergie Worked out great but the Lounge needs some work
Being a platinum member we get access to the Club Lounge. The food there not worth visiting.. example.. eggs was cold and runny.
Valet.. great.. helpful.
Check in Rep... nice.. but would be nice if they had a check list of what to tell checking in guests... point out path to travel to get to the elevator. Fitness center is located at... The club lounge serving times. .etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CAL2014 Great location
Tucked away from busy mainstreet and appreciated the proximity to Old Town and the area. Front desk staff, friendly and helpful. If I had paid regular rate, I would have been disappointed as the hotel rooms seem dated esp. pertaining to HVAC. Otherwise room up to date per flat screen TV, granite counter in bath etc. . Room very generous size. Bedding comfy. Altho operated by thermostat, HVAC is basically in room unit that is very noisy. OK to see that in rooms less than $100. But I really don't expect that in regular line hotel.

Split level room was quite interesting and had a ton of space, which made it quite nice. Service from everyone was excellent, especially in the dining room and at the front desk.
