Rated 1 out of 5 by PDH2012 Great location, indifferent front desk staff
Room not available at 3:30, had to wait two hours then was sent to an occupied room.
Indifferent desk staff acted like this happens all the time. Room not cleaned until day two. Shower never got hot. Hotel was filled with barking dogs at some sort of convention. Next time I travel to Nashville I will stay somewhere else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joy99 Great Hotel!
This hotel had mixed reviews, but it was nothing but top notch for us during our entire stay. The hotel is beautiful and clean and within walking distance to all the attractions. The valet staff was very professional and kept my car safe, so although the extra $ for parking was a bit pricey, overall it was well worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Visitor Quite satisfactory except for the elevators
The hotel is pleasant, very nice staff and the facilities were generally fine. The one area where improvement is warranted, which I expect you already know, is the elevators. When a big group (or more than one big group in my experience) is in residence, the four elevators are inadequate. This is also a safety issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by drgeorgegoodman Less than expected
1. The room we were given had not been cleaned (bed unmade, dirty towels on the floor)
2. There were dogs everywhere. I do not like staying in a hotel where there are pets. Pets should stay at home, or in a cheap hotel.
3. Valet service usually took more than 10 minutes. One time we waited over 15 minutes for our car.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NeedtoKnow Nice rooms, poor breakfast
Rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was below standard, the scrambled eggs tray on the buffet was empty, did not have omlettes available, waited for 15 minutes for more food to arrive then gave up, still got charged the full rate, good hotel to stay at but find somewhere else to have breakfast

Rated 1 out of 5 by James Unacceptable for the price
The only thing going for it was the location. Water was cold and came out with a rust color when you first turned on. Carpet was worn with threads hanging out, and a peanut that was on the floor when i got there was still there two days later. Bathroom counter showed water stains, glass rings and didn't feel clean!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Andrew Need to plan better
As a hotel being near the start of a major race that had many guests participating, breakfast really lacked. Most runners have specific expectations in the morning and the restaurant was not opened for us to get what we needed. Fruit in the lobby was very nice, but did not satisfy me and those in my group.

No water in rooms from 11 a.m. Till 4 no rate was changed , no compensation at all!
When showered in morning at 8 no water came on for ten minutes. Lot of folks upset including us! I do not understand why Sheratons are still charging for Internet services and also parking! It was a not good time in Nashville!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Magster Worst hotel experience ever
Long story short...we were there for 3 nights, had to change rooms twice because of a leak and they only gave us $25.00 off of one night and access to the 24th floor that we had no time to use. Whoop de do. Oh yes...when we stay there again we can have free access to the 24th floor...Stay there again??? Never!

Rated 3 out of 5 by MissC Some disappointments
The location of my room picked up the noise coming from the moving elevators. No biggie during the day, but it was disturbing at night (sounded like planes flying by). Had to wait long for elevator service (not fun when you need to get to a business meeting). Also had poor water pressure and no ice bucket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Hsk12 Overall unimpressed
I did not enjoy my stay at the Sheraton and continue to find some of your services/staff extremely unhelpful. Specifically, it was very inconvenient that we could not get an update on when our room would be ready over the phone. Instead, I was told I had to inquire in-person. As someone traveling from another state, this was very inconvenient. Our room had a large wet spot on the floor and a distinct odor. When we reported it, we were helped by an extremely nice maintenance man and I give him high remarks. The other major disappointment with this stay was that my debit card was charged for the incidentals fee after I was told only my credit card would be charged. At this point, I have left two messages for someone at the hotel and have yet to have my call returned. This is an issue with my bank account and I find it extremely rude that my call has not been returned nor has the charge been reversed on my card. This is enough to deter me from staying at any Sheraton in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ron46 Location is the only postive
Valet staff was excellent - I was in room 520 and all cable channels were not available - TNT and a light buld was burned out in one lamp. I am a gold member with Starwood and I upgraded and was confirmed for an additional $ 50.00.
Upon arrival I was told no rooms were available!! Elevators - TERRIBLE!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bob35 Room problems
Our room seemed to have hot water every other day.The vending machines on our floor were empty. We blew the circuit breaker in the the room one morning leaving us in the dark until service came up. We had to request clean glasses in our room. Very disappointing service and quality at a Sheraton property.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nikki2 Mediocre service
Very pleasant staff on check-in and correcting my room service order, but I received poor customer service when I called Guest Services about the "Make a Green Choice" program, and it was very difficult to place an order for room service (which they got wrong the first time, but graciously corrected it).

Beautiful hotel. Comfortable clean rooms, our room had a beautiful view of the city. Good restaurant and nice bar area. Friendly helpful staff. Conveniently located to downtown entertainment district. Parking is $25 nightly but that is typical for downtown Nashville. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were in town for the weekend just to relax and have a little fun. We always stay at the Sheraton Downtown because it is always the same great service, very clean and the staff can not be beat. It is within walking distance to everything we like about Nashville. Recommend to anyone!!!!!! Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by JaniceM1 Fabulous hotel & location
Great hotel, fab location just a few blocks away from Broadway, many main attractions, bus station, shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Staff were very helpful, always pleasant and eager to help. Miles in the bar is one great guy, always looks after customers. 5 stars all round stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SoccerMom Best Overall Staff Experience
Being at the Sheraton for a convention meant that I interacted with the staff on a routine basis. Everyone, from the custodial workers to the parking attendants to the banquet staff and waiters, was courteous and respectful and pleasant. I have never been to another hotel where that was the case.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Conferenceattendee236 No hot water, fire alarms
Go anywhere but here. No hot water at night or in the morning. Attended conference and was appaled by the lack of bathrooms. 350 people and 8 women's stalls. No coffee or water at sessions. During the session the fire alarm went off, no communication or information from anyone in the hotel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by WayneR2001 too many guests, not enough staff
Every time I stay at this hotel...same issues. long lines at front desk. long lines at valet. longs lines at elevators (15 mins). long lines to get your car. Long lines at the bar. Im happy for the hotel that they are busy, but they are completely unable to handle the traffic. very frustrating.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BulldogCCC Conference Stay
Hotel doesn't have enough elevators to handle conference crowd that needs access to all meeting rooms - 2nd thru 7th floor. No working ice maker on 2 floors, roaches smashed on the wall by the elevators, mildew in the bathroom. Just really not up to par for a large conference or a personal stay.

If this Hotel was receiving its monthly Shop, it would be in a lot of trouble.
I checked close to midnight with a smooth check in process, however it was downhill from there. The first room I checked into was already occupied, the 2nd room I checked into was a King bed when we were traveling with 4 little ones, the 3rd room was occupied again, the 4th room we received an upgrade to the Presidential Suite however, the heat did not work and the room temp was 62 degrees. The last a final room move at 2:30am was to a King ADA room.
We walked out of our room at 10am the next morning and it felt as if we were outside. The Bellman even commented that, being on the 25th floor...heat is suppose to rise. The local temp outside was 30 degrees.
Blaming the poor heat on an old boiler system is not a reason for lack of service and accommodations. If so, the hotel needs a major overhaul of its heating system and should only operate in the spring/summer months. Maintaining minimum heat standards is the law.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Steve Continued hot water troubles
This was about the third straight stay at this hotel that we've delt with almost warm water at 7 AM on a Saturday. I can understand that being the case on a week day, but all the issues we've run in to have been on weekend mornings. Not a good situation for any one with a wife like mine....

* Staff was helpful and considerate, one front desk official in particular.
* Hotel felt and looked a little worn and dated. Not the most imaginative architectural design.
* Layout acceptable, conference facilities best feature.
* More late night food service options would have been welcome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by FMMarie Good hotel, breakfast was sub par
I generally don't eat at hotels because of the "value". I made an exception due to time and was very disappointed. The eggs were cool and very watery, oatmeal was cool and watery and the staff was generally disinterested in servicing the customer. I suggest finding a greasy spoon near by...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jereme Elevator Overloaded and Cold Shower
You obviously way overbooked this hotel and could not handle it. I stayed on the 23rd floor and every elevator trip was between 45-60 minutes. Ridiculous! Also, my final shower was a cold one because the hot water ran out. Far from a comfortable stay for my $1000+ three day stay. Pathetic.
