One night was just not long enough to fully enjoy our hotel experience. Check in and check out were a breeze. The parking was safe and convenient. The complementary wine was a surprise and the view of the city breath taking. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. But most of all the other guest we meet were friendly and happy, a sure sign that they were enjoying their stay as well.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and although it is a nice hotel; it is beginning to be run down. On my most recent stay, my room's sick handles broke (the front desk sent someone to fix it but it was at 10pm at night) and there was mold in the shower. When I ordered room service for breakfast the tray my food cam eon had dried gum stuck to it. The server apologized profusely but it was disgusting - those types of things should be checked.

It was disappointing in the quality of the room. I was on the 25th floor in a "King Suite". Everything about the room was out-dated, except the bedding. The carpet was not cleaned in a very long time - my white socks became dirty just walking around in the room, dresser, chair, no sofa, poor lighting, and 'desk' all looked like it was over 15+ years old.
I was very disappointed in this Sheraton.

The AC in the room wouldn't cool it down more than 74F. Electrical outlets were rare and impossible to find. The shower was anemic. The bed was really uncomfortable (though the pillows were fine). Room service was 60 minutes instead of the promised 30 and the food wasn't hot when arrived. And they forgot the bottle of water and condiments I requested. It took 10 minutes to get the front desk on the phone at 11PM to get a wake up call.

This hotel is the perfect stop, whether it be a solo trip or with a group. Everything is up to a great standard, and the elevator trip is always fun being all glass. The fitness center, and pool are a little hidden away, but they're very efficient for the job. Looking forward to my upcoming stays here this summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bluegrass Hotel is back to excellent and a great value
Having read about problems with hot water I called the management .They assured the problem (remodeling) was solved so I thought I would give it a chance. I am glad I did becuase it is first class and a great value. Staff is friendly and professional. Club room is inviting and breakfast is great. The exercise facility is well equipped. Be sure to note that there are two rooms, one with most of the cardio. Restaurant is great value too.

We have just returned home to the UK after a 4 night stay at the Sheraton Downtown Nashville. This is a superb hotel, in a great location. The grandeur of the lobby with its glass elevators is breath-taking, and we couldn't have been made more welcome by the reception staff. For getting quickly and easily to Broadway and 2nd, and also Printers alley, this is a great place, and also has the beautiful Capitol building just across the street. I would have given 5 stars across the board, except that our beds were not made up as there was an item of clothing left on the bed (pyjamas!) and the made left a note saying she hadn't done it due to 'personal items' being on it. We also didn't have our trash emptied on one day, but otherwise, everything was great.
Special mention for Louis the bell-boy, who was so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, gave us a top tip for breakfast, and helped us leave the hotel with smiles on our faces, even though we were so sad to leave!! We will be back!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Baxelrad Weekend stay for concert at arena
This hotel was over run by teenagers who were running up and down the halls and pressing all the elevator buttons. We were lucky enough to be SPG gold, so we were upgraded to a room on the club level floor, thankfully. Our friends were not so lucky, and they were given a room higher up, but it was still loud. Our club level room was very clean and had all the necessary amenities EXCEPT hot water. An engineer came up to look at our shower and said that the temperature gauge was broken but he had already replaced three of them this week and that he was out of parts. He was able to take a reading of 100 degrees on his thermometer, but it did not feel above lukewarm the entire weekend. Since it was snowing outside, a HOT shower would have been ideal. We alerted the front desk that the water temperature problem had not been resolved, but all they did was verbally apologize.

Rated 3 out of 5 by browniigirl5382 Bathroom needs much imrovement
We stayed in at this hotel based on the reviews of other travelers. Our room was 1618, and the bathroom really needs some maintenance.
Pros: Great room set up, clean room, comfortable bed, location to site and restaurants, and comfortable pillows
Cons: Toilet runs for a couple minutes after you flush it, electric sockets bulging from the walls so when you plug in something it pops out immediately, and the plunger in the sink was broke.
I expected more out of this Sheraton especially with the prices they charge for the rooms. I am pretty sure this is rated a 4 star hotel and the bathroom reminded me of a much lower star rated hotel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by nash1999 Elevator Problems etc
When I checked in, the sink was very dirty, and the faucet handle was not working. Housekeeping took care of it, but it was inconvenient.
The elevators in this hotel are very slow, to the point where we were a few minuites late for our morning meeting.
On my last trip, I clipped the edge of the curb going from the first level to the second level of the garage, and I got a flat tire. Almost happend again this time.

Rooms were clean, staff was friendly but.. property is badly in need of redecorate. Need to adjust staffing algorithm . No deli/takeout coffee counter casual seating area. Understaffed for the guestload during my stay. Always a wait at front desk. Extra's- need to be more attentive. Ice Water in lobby nice touch- but most often empty. Coffee in lobby needed. Outside- needs plants- too urban prison

Was disappointed that I didn't get the room requested even though reservation was made several weeks in advance. Can't believe that I had to pay extra for in-room Wi-Fi. ALso can't believe that there was no mini fridge in room. Hotel needs to move into this century with regards to amenities. Much better deals and rooms available at other hotels in area. TV station selections were the pits as well

Rated 3 out of 5 by MKLosAngeles Great hotel - lacking guest services
I've stayed at this hotel many times, and each time it has been enjoyable. The free shuttle downtown is a wonderful perk. However, the man who works in the guest services center is particularly prickly and unfriendly. I confirmed with the front desk that this gentleman actually works in the facility. He was one of the rudest guest services individuals with whom I have ever interacted. If you have any issue or request, I urge you to talk to the front desk directly, rather than pressing the "guest services" button on your in-room phone. The woman at the front desk informed me that they have received many, many complaints on this individual. Why he is still employed is beyond me. Still, the friendliness of the front desk representatives made up for this man's terrible service, and I would still stay here again - I just wouldn't even bother trying to successfully interact with guest services.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Virginia2012 warm and wonderful
staff go way out of their way to make you feel at home. the lobby is spectacular, the rooms very comfortable with down covers, the flat screen tv just a perfect distance from the bed. lovely curtains, bathroom; the club lounge offered tons of good food, hot and cold. the location was five blocks from the Ryman and honky tonks and across the street from the capital building. Loved it at the Sheraton.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MTBSB Hotel needs some improvements
There is no pool, which is had to believe considering the price and location. Although there are ice machines on every floor they only stock ice in the machine on certain floors. Called to have ice put in the machine on our floor but they never did so we had to go to other floors for ice. No mini fridge unless you pay $10 a day. Rooms and hotel overall need to be upgraded for the costs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BSY79 Not Clean. Very Dated.
If we had more time we would have changed rooms or hotels but we did not have time. The room was pretty disgusting. Hotel was very dated especially compared to other Sheratons we have stayed in. It must be a Sheraton issue but the last 5 nights stayed in various Sheraton hotels we have booked a King sized bed and it has not been available. Pretty disappointed with the experience.

I stayed for my second time at the downtown Sheraton. These people went out of their to make sure we had a great stay. I was there for business. The staff from top to bottom were OUTSTANDING. I would recommend your hotel to any and everyone. Location great for meetings, on site breakfast was wonderful. Clean rooms. Just a good place to stay.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DisappointedPlat Great if your Expectations are Minimal
As a platinum guest, I've stayed at this hotel many, many times. I've never seen a suite. There are 3 other SPG properties in the area and those hotels have a 100 percent record of suite upgrades. I stay in Nashville 4 times per month and would love to visit the downtown location more often, but it seems the more I stay, the worse it gets!
During my stay in April, there were 850 kids blocking the elevator so I had to climb 25 flights of stairs to get to my floor - only to find the door locked from the fire escape. I went down one flight and waited nearly 15 minutes for the elevator to go up one floor.

This is a perfect 1980's hotel at 2013 prices.
The only thing up to 2013 standards was the restaurant and bar, but you're in Nashville, so why would you eat and drink at the Sheraton?
Everything else was grungy and dismal. Broken tiles in the bathroom, dirty carpets, fallen down baseboards, and analog TV direct to your flat panel.
Go someplace else.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jaycee Poor customer service
I was charged a higher rate than guests with me. When discussed with front desk staff they informed me that I should have made reservations online. This inconsistency in prices and bad attitudes of staff at the front desk is a poor representation of the Sheraton brand. Also, consistently poor internet connection which interferes with work productivity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TennesseeTraveler Comfortable bed
We used SPG points + cash. Evidently this didn't allow us free Wi-Fi, which was unexpected. Also view from our room was less than desirable.
However, the bed was extremely comfortable, which for me, over- rides any other consideration. Also, the location right across from the Legislature couldn't have been better. And, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Jamie at the front desk made my first trip to
Nashville a great experience. She went out of her way to be friendly, nice & renewed my SPG account for me right away. Thanks to Jamie for making my stay so enjoyable! I will definitely be back. The hotel has a great location, staff & facilities (including nice bar & restaurant), I would highly recommend.

The towels were old, they felt as if they were purchased years ago and never updated. The pillows were so uncomfortable. There was a dog barking next door to me the first night. We had a conference on the 7th floor and for the number in attendance the room was WAY TOO SMALL, ran out of coffee.

The rooms were very nice - spacious, modern, and comfortable. Sheraton Club Lounge was much nicer than most - great food and attendant Steven was super friendly and hospitable. Definitely plan on coming back again. I find Sheratons are somewhat hit or miss. This one is a hit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RavensFan Sheraton Downtown Nashville - <<GREAT>>
My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton Downtown on Saturday thru Tuesday. We were extremely pleased with the Sheraton and the close proximately (walking distance) to everything downtown. The real Nashville experience, the music, the original Grand Ole Opry, the Hall of Fame, music & museum, the bars and the historical atmosphere, all happens on Broadway and the surrounding streets. For most other things, you need a car or taxi. We ate at the Bistro on the second floor, once for a delightful lunch sandwich and again for a scrumptious breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed the view - I had requested a high floor. The size of the room was great and provided all the space and comfort one could wish for. We had one minor bathroom issue, which was fixed immediately, once we notified the staff – actually spoke to a very nice gentleman, an electrical or maintenance supervisor, I believe, on the elevator. Parking – in and out was easy and was included in the package I paid for. . Go Orioles and Ravens.

Urine drops on the toilet
