Samantha was the best. She set us up for a successful stay in Nashville with good advice and directions for local restaurants and entertainment. She was very professional, courteous and overall a pleasure to deal with. A great representation of the Sheraton chain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Georged57 Sheraton didn't provide a good customer experience
Arrived in Nashville for a convention and an 8 day stay @ the Sheraton in downtown. On the first full day of my stay, we received a "folio" in an email, thanking us for the our stay. We were in the presidential suite and a guest went to the front desk and checked us out. The good news was we got that resolved.
Regarding the room and facilities...most calls for service were not answered from the room. An air filter was left uninstalled; all the TV converter boxes needed to be replaced...one was finally installed. The others were not. My wife asked for a lamp to be replaced in one of the bedrooms...never done after many requests. Soaps, shampoos and coffee was not automatically replaced...had to either ask for it or take it off the housekeeping cart.
One of the elevators was malfunctioning...got temporarily caught in it on three occasions.
And as chairman of the conference, I never received the room access cards paid for by the sponsor of the conference.
On the good side, the concierge was great as were the bell and valet folks. Management is none existent.

If you want to stay cool in Nashville, don't stay here. I had a sleepless night since the AC couldn't get the room cooler than 75 degrees. Overall, the hotel is just dingy, hit and sticky.

My father and I stayed for one night at the Sheraton. While we were on the road, my mother bumped us up to 'club level' as a surprise. She called to confirm 3 times that a room would be available, and they assured her it would be. When we arrived, checked us in, and when we got our room, it was on the 6th level. I inquired about the club upgrade, and only then she told us that they didn't have a room available. We went to our nonclub level room, only to get a call 20 minutes later that our club level room was ready. We had to re-check in and went up to the 24th floor. When we got there, the room had no robes, no running water from 10am-5pm, and shower handle was broken. I will say that the attendants in the club lounge were very accommodating and helpful!

Needing a place to stay with my dogs, this hotel was very accomodating. No additonal pet fees, good room rates and closeness to attractions made this hotel the perfect place.

We were very pleased with our 21st floor (SPG) room, especially its cleanliness. I hate water saver showers, however, and bemoan their use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SuzyQWI Terrible Hotel but Amazing Staff
Stayed at this Sheraton for a family trip to Nashville. Was looking for something within walking distance to activities. Am An SPG member so choose Sheraton. This hotel is under renovations thank goodness. The 1st floor is decent but our room was terrible. Broken hooks off doors, ragged, dirty carpet , sheets falling off the hard beds- (flat sheets,) view of the parking ramp. We specifically asked to have our room vacuumed on day 2, which never happened. Our sink was not cleaned, came back to left over coffee. Etc.
***That being said, this is the nicest staff I have encountered with many years of travel. From the Valet- Hey Chris xoxo- the staff in the concierge lounge, everyone was very pleasant and wanted to get to know us. We definitely enjoyed all of them.
I am hopeful the renovations improve the hotel so your staff can be appreciated without the negatives of the hotel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Runner5954 If you like COLD SHOWERS this is the hotel for you!
We stayed two nights and paid premium rate due to the marathon weekend. The first night our room had no hot water and we were moved to a room that had warm water. The next morning after the race that took place in a rainstorm we were looking forward to a hot shower. Guess what? Still no hot water! I was told by staff that they were working on the problem. If guests have no hot water, I wonder what is used to wash the linens and towels at this hotel. I have to say that I was more than disappointed with this hotel and regret spending the additional money to stay downtown. I will definitely not recommend this hotel to friends, family, and colleagues.

Our 3 year wedding anniversary was a few days ago so I decided to book a room in downtown Nashville for a quick getaway to my wife's favorite resturant that night. We were greeted warmly at check in, the valet service was timely and we even had a complimentary bottle of champagne waiting for us when we got back from dinner that night. I usually don't review my hotel stays but this warranted a stellar recommendation. Next time we are in Nashville we will be staying at the downtown Sheraton!

We were in Nashville for a youth workers convention. I would not normally stay in an upscale hotel such as this one. We would more often choose a hotel outside of cities based on cost, but with my employer covering this event, it was nice to be spoiled. We had a great view of the capital building, the room was spacious, well equipped, and extremely comfortable. We did however to park in a public lot a couple blocks away due to the extremely high cost of parking on site. All the staff were very helpful, the amenities were top notch, including Starbucks coffee in-room.

Thankfully i booked this with points and cash because this is not a 140 some dollar a night hotel based on the appointments. Yes it is an awesome location but they did a shoddy job on the room remodel. My toilet ran all the time, The shower was obviously aged and was not replaced, the walls were a little dirty and i just felt like it was a partially refurbished room that they went cheap on. NO WIFI is ridiculous!!! Why should i have to pay an additional 14 bucks for internet when I am already paying for the room and 25 bucks a day for parking! Get with the program most hotels offer free wifi at a minimum. I checked out a day early btw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful22 Stay ANYWHERE else
Will not return. Desk staff was great at check-in, but it was quickly downhill from there. For whatever reason, the door to our room was eerily propped open with all of the lights off when we got there; the thermostat was set to 63 degrees; the bathroom counter was covered in something that definitely rubs off on clothes, but beyond that it was unidentifiable; and there was no soap in the bathroom. Despite all that, we had a great night out in Nashville. When we got back to the hotel, we took a look at the "all day dining" menu, and decided to have some food. The menu forgot to mention the kitchen closes at 11. I'll sleep in my car before I stay here again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by guestsfromcalifornia warning, this hotel should be last on your list. Horribly dirty
we stayed here for 1 night, our first in Nashville. I had no orientation to go off of since it was our first visit to Nashville. Hoping even if it wasn't best situated at least (with reputation) we would have a good nights sleep. My husband loves the Westins/Sheraton sleep program- so much so we bought a Westin bed 10 years ago. The hotel is under serious neglect. The reception is unsightly & lacks welcome. We waited for almost 25 minutes to check in, due to lack of staff at prime check in time (5pm). The interior cement half walls had must have had plants hanging at one time, nothing now only holes drilled into the cement. Prision looking. The room was "city view" that looked out on a giant gray wall. The bed was so bowed it looked like a soup bowl-and had NO BED SKIRT! It showed a brown, discolored edge to the box spring & under part of mattress. Disgusting. I took pictures, we left trying to not let this ruin our 1 night & went out to dinner. The bowing bed made sleep uneasy, but worse off, with one turn the entire side of my bed came undone, I had to wake periodically thru the night to try straighten sheets & mattress pad. The worst moment came waking up to my face DIRECTLY ON A HOTEL MATTRESS! Awful. Worst nights sleep, downstairs there was no one at desk, to complain, figured I'd just take it up later-you know being a "preferred guest" must have some benefits or at least matter. Nope, insult to injury-the great care taken was just as insulting. I waited purposefully to file a review giving fariness to also include the response to complaint. Paying full price to a room, the filed complaint with spg.com & guest services gave me 2000 points, which means nothing because its not even 1/5 of a nights stay. So to use it, it would cost me most of a room anyway, tricky marketing I'd say. I revoke my claim that you can count on a good nights sleep. Forever, Sheraton brand can not be counted on as a decent hotel & Sweet Dreams. And if you file a complaint, don't expect it to matter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by NeverAgainSheraton2013 Worst Experience Ever
I will never stay here again. In short, When we arrived for our two-night stay on Friday night, we waited in line for 30 minutes to check-in. We were then given keys to an already occupied room and walked in on another guest. When we returned to the front desk, we had to get back in line (behind another guest who was in front of us the first time who also had been given keys to the wrong room), and found out that the hotel was booked and there were no other rooms. We were in town to celebrate our anniversary and had ordered champagne service for our room, which was obviously being enjoyed by some other guest. When we returned to complain, the two front desk reps retreated to a back room leaving the front desk unattended for 5 minutes. When they returned, we were told that "magically" a double bed room opened up (we had reserved a king suite) and we could take the double bed (or be left without any room whatsoever) and potentially move to a different room the next day. We took the double bed room since other guests were in line behind us waiting to attempt to check-in when no rooms were left available, apparently. We had to wait until the next day to get the king suite we had reserved a month earlier which then required us to pack up our stuff and move to a new room altogether.
Absolutely unacceptable for a hotel such as this to "have no rooms left" for guests who had booked a month in advance and to subsequently give keys out to already occupied rooms and to have utter incompetence of the front desk staff to abandon the front desk for such extended periods of time. While we enjoyed the city of Nashville and look forward to returning some day, I would never stay at this Sheraton again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KJBL Positives and Negatives
Sheraton Downtown Nashville is in a great location for Nashville Marathon and also easy walking distance to Broadway area/LP field. Rates were high for the weekend that we were there since it was Marathon weekend, which was fine, but the thing that bothered me the most was that they charge additional for almost everything like WiFi, rolling bed in room, additional adults and parking is not included either with hotel rate. I heard more than one person say "They get you coming and going don't they?".
Most of the staff were completely helpful and friendly, especially housekeeping, valets and concierge. There was one front desk person that was rude to me on check-in and that kind of sets the tone for how you feel about a place. I was just asking advice as far as security if we self parked or valet parked (both quite expensive in addition to room) and her comment was "I cannot tell you what is right for YOU". I think she could tell I was put off even though I said nothing.
Pasta made to order meal in hotel restaurant before race was not tasty at all.
The rooms themselves were clean and the king bed very comfortable. The view from our room was phenomenal from the 17th floor. We could see the beautiful Nashville skyline and river.
We did bring a blow up bed for the little kids and I am glad we did as the sleeper sofa was not cozy at all.
So, if you don't mind spending a lot of money, then you will love the convenience of the location and the courteousness of most of the staff. If cost is at all an issue, then you would probably rather stay somewhere else.
They have an excellent workout facility and pool is nice mainly for kids (only 3 and 4 feet deep).
Overall, a good hotel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jmill1771 Stay during the marathon
This was the worst experience I had ever had at a starwood hotel. I called ahead of time to ensure that I had a room with double beds since my parents were staying with me. I got to the hotel and there was a king bed only. The reservation listed 3 people and was offered no suggestions. I received a pull away bed only after 5 hours and 2 calls to the front desk. Considering I was running the marathon, the pull away was not the ideal bed before the race.
Secondly, the front desk did not inform me of the preferred lounge and told me that there was no such thing. I explored and found the preferred lounge which had only a few bottles of water and seemed disorganized and dirty.
Additionally, I had contacted the front desk several times about the broken ice maker on my floor. Normally I would not care about the ice maker, but I need to ice my knees before and after the marathon. Having to go to a different floor was inconvenient and ridiculous for a hotel during a marathon.
Next, I had mentioned that my hotel door does not shut unless it is slammed and the front desk offer no help or guidance on how to fix it. I felt sorry for the rooms next to me as I had to slam the door each time. Additionally, the plumbing in the room was loud and distracting.
Then, the exit door by the valet, there was broken glass which was left there from Saturday night until I left at 7PM on Sunday.
Overall, the service was disappointing both times I have stayed at this hotel. The second time was during the marathon which will be my last. The room and service was not acceptable. Last year I stayed in starwood hotels for a quarter of the year and this was the only bad experience. I will never return to the hotel and will be sure to consider options outside starwood when traveling.
