Rated 1 out of 5 by UnhappyGuest49 HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE..NEVER AGAIN
Room was NEVER serviced. Housekeeping had the nerve to place a NOTE under our door "LEAVE TIP PLEASE" when they NEVER serviced our room. The room was dirty when we arrived. Front desk was bothered when I called for more towels, and was inconvenienced. Asked if we expected to get our room service at "that time of the night" when it was 7:00 PM and NEVER serviced. We left early because it took more than hour to get towels for the 2nd night in a row, and our room was NEVER clean...even though that morning housekeeping asked my wife and I if we would like our room serviced. OUTRAGEOUS. Contacted hotel regarding 1 shoe and phone charger that housekeeping took from the room apparently out of spite with no reply. I understand not leaving items of value you in a hotel room, but I assume clothing items would be SAFE in a hotel. I am appalled. This was supposed to be a special weekend for my wife and I, and we could not even relax because the room was far from relaxing.

staff was great, and location is ideal for what we were looking for. Little high priced was only downside. Second time we have stayed at this hotel for weekend getaway with the guys and a hockey game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CraigD Mostly good, but definitely had complaints
Overall my stay was fine and unremarkable. I got a bad first impression because the bellman would not allow me to park in front of the lobby to register. Not sure why. He made me go to the self-park area and then schlep my luggage down through the parking garage to the lobby to check in. The only other problem I had was that the bed in my room was not level. I did not complain, and that's my fault, but it should not have been that way to begin with. It appeared to be a problem between the bed rails and the support structure that had worn out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Quickstepper Cold showers and understaffed restaurant
The thermostat in the room did not work well to control the temperature. The service in the restaurant was so slow that we gave up and left after sitting for 30 minutes waiting for a server to come to our table. The hot water in our shower only worked part of the time. The air vent in the bathroom was fuzzy with dust. We didn't get hand towels, even after calling the front desk. Two other times calling the front desk resulted in endless rings with no one answering. Trash outside our door sat in the hallway for 2 days without being picked up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by northlock No hot water
The location of this hotel is great. Being downtown means your within walking distance of all sorts of fun things to do.
Unfortunately I did not have a good experience staying here on my latest trip to Nashville. Most of my dissatisfaction came from not having hot water in my room. I called the front desk about this issue and maintenance was sent up. I was told that I needed to run the water for about 10-15 minutes for it to get hot. While not ideal, I was happy to at least have hot water.
However the next morning after 15 minutes of running the water it never did get hot enough to have a shower.
This is one of the very basic needs a hotel should be able to meet for travelers, and after bringing it to the hotels attention, was never resolved.

I had friends come into Nashville to celebrate a birthday. I actually live in Nashville and thought it would be nice just to stay in the same hotel with them. After checking in I took a shower only to find out there were no towels available. I called down they showed up in about 10 minutes and the hotel got their first and only only pass.
We went down to grab my car from valet services only to be told they had lost my car. We went to every floor in the parking garage looking for it only to come up empty. 2 1/2 hours later, police on the scene, my car shows up. They told me it was found on the 6th floor which was an absolute lie. I have never written a review for a hotel ever but will copy and paste this one every place I can find.
DON'T EVER STAY AT THIS PLACE!

Rated 3 out of 5 by GBARRY1 Lack of Customer Service -
When I checked in my reservation info was wrong, as it was booked through the PDIS. It was corrected at the front desk by a very nice person. At check out they confirmed a charge of $392.04. Whan I received my bill I was charged the extra night. I contacted Rachel in accounting who was only too happy to essentially tell me to pound sand. No more Sheraton for me and I travel extensively.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mo1976 Great views but lobby is too disruptive.
BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, GREAT CITY VIEWS, & nice rooms, but not the right place if you're looking for a peaceful night of sleep.
Bad building design, they should have blocked off the 1st / 2nd floors, so guests aren't disturbed by an overactive lobby / ballroom OR perhaps they shouldn't allow loitering in the lobby past a decent hour (10 or 11 pm)...I was on the 17th floor and was kept awake by the rediculously loud group of people that were allowed to congregate in the lobby (until almost 1am). I just expected more from a name like Sheraton.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Susanna2 Cleanliness needs improvement
Found pair of male underwear in the closet on first day. Told front desk. The staff was very apologetic and said they would send somebody up to do a deep cleaning. I don't know if they did, but that underwear was on the floor of the closet until I left. I finally threw it in the trash on my way out. Long black hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor when I checked in (I'm blonde). Really made me wonder about the cleanliness of the place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Monty1945 Cold Night Handicap Parking Problem
Could not contact on-site motel reservations using phone number listed for motel on website. Making a reservation was more difficult than I've experienced on other motel's reservations sites.
Upon arrival, I asked at valet desk about self-parking in handicap spot. Valet told me there are spots - drove all way to and parked on 7th floor and no handicap spots marked. Asked at counter on check-in and was told I could park in any valet spot. Asked valet if that info was correct - told no. After short argument and treat to elevate issue, was then told valets are separate from Sheraton, but I could use a valet spot if I wanted.
Other issue was COLD room - set thermostat at 72 - would not hold temp. Had to keep resetting it 5-6 times during the night - room temp would drop to as low as 65 degrees.
Overall, WAY over-priced for room and parking problems. Not at all what I've encountered at less expensive motels - won't be staying at more Sheraton's anytime soon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by flash nice gym, great location, needs some updating...
i like staying at the sheraton in downtown nashville. most of the hotels in nashville are way over priced - i honestly feel this hotel is as well. the location is great, the gym is quite nice but there are zero special touches. parking is outrageous - you can get less expensive parking and hotel rates in manhattan! you get one bottle of water most four point sheratons give you two. this hotel needs to offer some special touches for each guest. i will continue to stay here; however, it would be nice to have some perks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by AE81 Hotel is outdated and understaffed
This hotel is in need of major updating both in the main spaces and the rooms. The showers were stained, with little to no water pressure. The main spaces look outdated and unattractive - there are basically cinderblocks for the atrium walls.
In addition, the hotel is severely understaffed, causing very long waits to check-in and out; there is essentially no concierge or bellman, and house keeping doesn't come until very late in the afternoon.
Lastly, I put my "make a green choice" out every day, but never recieved my vouchers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by al66 had a rough time
I had several issues with my stay. First I had three children with me and asked for 2 queen beds. I was provided a single king bed. We had to go back down (16 floors) then up 22 floors to the new room. It took awile. Walking into the new room, the light was burnt out and we had to bump around the room to find a light to turn on. I asked for extra blankets and did not recieve them, had to call twice. The second day, we never got our room made up and never recieved towels so we had to shower with damp towels from the day before.

The staff provided excellent service. The greeting at the front desk was 1st rate, we very made to feel as a guest, not just a customer. The room were clean and very comfortable. Morning breakfast was really good, they even had lox on the buffet, which we would not have expected in Nashville. Our server also offered coffee to go as we were leaving. Only things that could have have been better are it took a while to get an elevator and it would have been nice if the pool had a changing room, showers and hot tub. Overall, an A++

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nicole13 Hated my stay
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff member, Luke, was very rude to 1 person in our party trying to get her breakfast vouchers and when we tried to book additional rooms for the rest of our conference. He was extremely rude about the pricing. The best thing was the breakfast and the valet staff. My room felt dirty and the carpet wasn't clean. Every morning I had to let dirty water run before I could taka shower. The AC unit was extremely loud and kept me awake. There were a lot more issues, too much to list.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DougF58 Improvement Needed!
This hotel had many issues. Starting with the room was not ready until after 3:30 on the day we arrived. Housekeeping was so late the next day we opted not to have the room cleaned. When we checked in we indicated we would not be leaving until 11am on the day of departure and housekeeping was knocking on the door at 9am. This is just some of the problems. Very poor performance.

We had to get a room unexpectedly, they told us all that they had was a delux king room for $400. a night and that it was a view of the city and that there would be no charge for the valet parking. We took it reluctantly expecting a super room. The view was of a building, No refrigerator, no microwave poor TV reception no water pressure and on top of that a theromstat that did not work. They did charged us for parking so the total charge was $494.09.

The over all for the Hotel was good in general, but I was disappointed that there wasn't a fridge in the room, I had a king room suite, no refrigerator or microwave.
For the cost of the room there should have been at least a refrigerator. We brought drinks for our stay & nothing in-room to keep them cold.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kelli Not impressed
I booked a room with two doubles due to their being 4 in our party, we ended up with a king a, sleeper sofa and a rollaway. This was after not even checking in until 9:30 pm and even after going out and coming back several hours later there was still no double room, so it was apparently given away. The shower would not get hot, when I called downstairs the manager came up to talk to me about it and never even made eye contact because she was fiddling with a smoke detector. Then to top it off I put my breakfast order on my door handle prior to the 2 am deadline for a large pot of coffee and it was never even taken off my door. This hotel used to be a staple in Nashville, I grew up there and have attended several events. It doesn't hold a candle to what it once was.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Reed2012 The breakfast buffet is AWFUL!!
Buffet was messy. We arrived at 9:30am. The food was finally being replenished slowly. The gravy of the biscuits was cold. The bacon was always empty. I didn't get a single piece. I requested butter they said to use the stuff on the buffet it was margarine. I requested real butter but no one could seem to understand the difference. The eggs were runny (under cooked). For the $14.99 I felt like a better effort should have been made. Take some pride in the food you perpare. I would suggest a staff that understands english.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RJKA Room worked but facilities did not
Room was nice and met our needs. When we arrived we were tired and did not want to leave the hotel to eat so we ate at their restaurant. It was dirty (menu was greasy and we were served a glass of wine that had lip marks on the rim). The food was below standard. Also, parking was too expensive.

I arrived and checked in. The next day I took a shower in the morning and discovered that the tub faucet was broken and would not emit warm or hot water. I took a quick shower and called maintenance. They came up while I was at meetings all day and left a note saying "we cannot repair this till after the room is vacated." No one notified me to leave the room. When I called I was told there were no rooms available that late at night. No one from management ever contacted me. I took cold showers for 2 days at $250/day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Binachi1 This hotel is OK....
I thought the cleanliness of the room was good. The air conditioner did not work very well. I called the front desk the first day and they sent someone up to fix it. However I didn't notice a difference. I called back later that night and Shardetia (I think I have her name right but may not. She works in housekeeping at night.) came and tried to fix it but really couldn't do it. So she brought me a fan! That was over and above cause I didn't ask for one. She is an asset to your company. You guys should value her. The next day I asked the front desk to send someone from engineering to come by so Carl left me a message that it was fixed by note. However I really don't think that it was fixed as it never really cooled off and I used the fan. He was very helpful and really tired.

I booked the room through my SPG program and stayed 1 night. The room was good, though it was a bit outdated .The best part of my stay is that my check in was easy and I got a room at the Club Level. All in all this was a good experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Neveragain01 This hotel needs work
The hotel itself has potential to be a wonderful facility. However, the showers were always cold and many of the residents had a similar complaint. That facilitated to an uncomfortable beginning to each morning. The staff had virtually no response to any of those complaints by many of the people staying at the hotel. Secondly, and most importantly, I have attempted to contact the billing department on multiple occasions and have left a few messages. At the current moment none of those messages have been returned.

Rated 3 out of 5 by John67 This hotel needs a lot of improvements.
I was very disappointed in the room service/cleaning. The breakfast buffet was cold every morning. The elevators were horrible. We had to wait too long for them to come to different floors. The staff performed very well when asked for assistance, but the facility needs a lot of improvement before I would consider going back. I was part of the MEGA reunion from April 10th to the 14th, and we would not go back to this hotel unless changes were made. I've stayed at many Sheritons, this one was in bad condition.

Was never acknowledged as a Gold SPG member, I had to ask. Also hospitality floor was for Platinum only, and it felt a bother to ask. It's like I was not good enough for the floor. I spend a lot of money at SPG hotels and my stays aren't as frequent but differentiating between gold and platinum is not right especially when not handled properly. I also asked about the free internet to spg members and they accommodated one day vs two, once again, platinum only. Never had this attitude at one of your hotels.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JMB10 Problems w/Check in
I waited 1 1/2 hours to check in at 4pm, sitting with lots of other guests waiting to get a room at 4pm. I was told that there were no rooms ready because there were so many early check ins which is very frustrating to say the least. Everything else about the hotel was fine but it's impossible to rate a hotel better than "needs improvement" if you have to waste that much of your personal time waiting for a room to be cleaned. Clearly a management issue. I travel a lot and have never had that happen before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Towney12 Conveniently located to the stadium
Wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was conveniently located to the stadium and music district. The room was comfortable and nicely appointed, and the hotel staff were all courteous and helpful. The only negative was getting out of the parking garage, but I think that was a temporary glitch.
