Coming to Sacramento more these days, the hotel is close to the Capitol and convention center. My room was large and clean.
Otherwise it feels understaffed and lacking in casual amenities. It's on a somewhat seedy block that closes down after work hours. Yet the hotel doesn't have a small store for sodas and snacks. The front desk is small so it takes a while to check in. My calls to guest services took long times to be answered. The staff were friendly, but few.

Thank you for a great 3 days in Sacremento. This Sheraton is gem in the heart of downtown. Everything from check-in to in-room dining to the Platinum lounge staff were great. I had one day of sub-par housekeeping, but that's minimal. The hotel was busy for a large conference (that I was not attending), but I was taken care of at every point of contact. Parking garage across the street was very full each day, but there was always parking. Lounge is a bit small but workable. Overall, I recommend this Sheraton and had a great experience here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by blynn I love the decor, dinner seating arrangements and the buffet upstairs. All were very confortable. Would definitely stay here.
The room was very confortable. Bedding was very neat, clean and mattress was very comfortable.I certainly would recommend to friends and family to stay at your hotel. Oh, and the package that goes with reservation:. Free valet parking ,and to go continental breakfast. Wonderful.
Thanks for a very enjoyable weekend stay.

Over the years, I have stayed at the Sheraton in Sacramento for staycations, or when I have obligations that bring me to downtown. I live locally, and enjoy staying at the Sheraton when I need to getaway, or after a long work day and night. Prior to my last few stays, it was pulling teeth to get an upgrade or any sort of SPG acknowledgement. I was never one to leave negative feedback, but I voiced my displeasure via the various SPG surveys sent to me over the years. Until last month, I had never received a response. To my surprise, Daniel, Director of the Front Office, replied to one of my surveys. Daniel has gone above and beyond, along with his staff, to ensure that I have had my needs met. I booked a last minute room yesterday, and to my surprise, when I checked in rather late this evening (10pm), I was welcomed with a suite and a bottle of champagne. My only wish is that I could spend more time in this amazing suite and had my husband here to share it with! The front desk associate was extremely friendly and helpful. The room is well appointed and the views are amazing. The room amenities provided are top notch. The bar and restaurant staff are attentive and obliging. I may only be in my room for less than 10 hours, but every minute is pure bliss. I will be checking in again in a few short days and I can’t wait to spend another night at the Sheraton. If you are staying in Sacramento, this is THE place to stay!
