We arrived at this hotel to be greeted by a receptionist who would not smile and treated us as though we were a huge inconvenience. Very off-putting.
Apparently we made her life very unhappy by extending our stay by one night.
We needed to call maintenance as the remote control was not working. The rudest person came to change it over.
After that we made sure not to ask anything of the staff.
The experience spoiled our stay in San Diego.

I tried to get a meal on the late night menu and they forgot about me and sent it up an hour late. They promised on my reservation to have my sister and my room whom came up later than I did and we were suppose to have rooms reserved right next to each other, when I got there she told me our rooms were on the same floor and when my sister checked in, they put her in an entire different building, so we stayed in two different buildings.

I have stayed in my share of Sheraton hotels, and this one is the dirtiest one I have seen. The room had a funny smell to it, and I seen many cheap "fixes" in the hotel. I could of saved at least $100 and went somewhere else for a better night stay. The one plus is the location and view of the hotel. If they think this is the reason for charging $185 a night, I will bring a picture of the ocean to the next hotel and save my money.

I was really impressed with the staff & their customer service skills. All staff seemed genuinely interested in making me feel welcomed. Waite staff in the sports bar & restaurant personable & attentive. The Concierge got us a water front table reservation at a local restaurant which was a unexpected treat! Keep up the great work!

Overall a good experience. Needs updating. Furnishings are tired and stained. Many hall carpets need to be replaced. A great stop for overnight before your flight. Quinn's restaurant had great food. Overall the staff was exceptional in the hotel and restaurant .

I booked a room at The Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina for my Son, Daughter-in-Law, and their 2 children (my 2 Grandsons). Because they couldn't arrive until very late (9pm), I checked them in myself. The Staff Member was very courteous and professional. He answered all of my question and helped me arrange for their later arrival. Beyond that, I thought of additional questions. The Consierge Desk was more than helpful to that end.

Though the front desk wasn't manned with enough staf, the young lady did her best to get our room as quickly as possible. The Spa staff were excellent and Marianne gave an excellent massage. They have a great special 20 minutes for $20, We enjoyed our 5 day stay and will be back. The only negatives were the prices at Quinns. Food was okay but dessert was overpriced and tasteless. Needless to say we went elsewhere the rest of our stay.

We stayed for just a night at this hotel and our only regret was not having more time to stay for additional days. We were at a seventh floor room with a gorgeous view. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Strongly recommended if you have a car. If not, be prepared to spend some money in taxis since it's far from most of SD's attractions. I would recommend to this hotel, to have a shuttle service to downtown.

This hotel was very nice, and we enjoyed the marina views...however, I learned to never stay in a room with double beds again...didn't sleep a wink during either night that we stayed. The hotel also lacked in customer service, including being out of towels in the pool area, and maid service that had left food outside of a room for both days we were there...Starbucks was a plus, as were the $5 vouchers if we skipped the maid service.

My first impression on check in was not great The staff at the front desk was not overly friendly. The Valet staff was the best I have ever encountered. And I travel monthly. The bell staff was excellent as well as the bar staff and servers. The room was perfect for me as it had a walk out patio with an ocean view even though it was in the older building and needed a little upgrading in the shower area. Other than that it was great.

The hotel is fairly nice for the price your paying. The rooms were fairly clean and the parking is nice and accessible. My only issue is that we booked a room with Bay view and they said there were no more available, which I don't understand how we were able to book a room with Bay view to begin with. They didn't try to make it right, all that was said was "sorry, you booked a Bay View bit we only have a handicap accessible room".

While the rooms at this hotel are nice. The staff on the other hand is the complete opposite. Rude, incompetent, and not at all understanding. Not only was I double charged for parking which i tried to explain to the one of the ladies at the check out desk but she refuse to do anything about it. Additionally on another occasion i made a staff there aware that outside my room i had put the decline room service sign and was not given a 5 dollar voucher or 500 spg points. And she just kept interrupting me while i was trying to explain to her what was going on. And ultimately did nothing about it and told me it I must of made a mistake. ( How can i possible make a mistake i put the sign outside my room before 2am) Clearly at this Sheraton customers do not come first at all. This hotel has the potential to be a top notch hotel only if the staff werent so rude.

This hotel and resort fit the type of 4 day vacation we really wanted. The room was large, comfortable and had stellar view of the marina from its wide balcony. The service in the dining room and bar was impeccable. The shuttle service between the two hotels was good with one exception. We asked if the shuttle would take us a short distance to a nearby restaurant, (my husband uses a walker) We were told the shuttle doesn't go in that direction and take a cab. The cab driver was unhappy as it wasn't a long drive, but he did take us. After dinner we waited 45 minutes for a cab. In the meantime the Hilton shuttle picked up several guests to take them back to their hotel. Unfortunately this experience put a blemish on what would have been a perfect stay. We hope you will reconsider your policy that would provide a much appreciative service to your SPG guests.

An unusual noise occurred in my room (501) about every 30 mins late at night. On the 2nd night I called and asked to change rooms. Guest services (Terry) told me NO ROOMS were available and to wait until noon. I finally spoke to the supervisor (Tina) and was moved immediately. To be misled at 3 am, paying well over $150/night is UNACCEPTABLE for the Sheraton brand. Other past comments by guest have confirmed poor guest services.

Everything was fine except the elevators in the north tower. Only one of two worked, and that one was extremely slow. Had to figure in 15 minutes additional time due to elevator. Food provided was very good, except entree at Wed Mar 6 evening Gala. Skirt steak was terrible. h'orderves were excellent. Someone called in sick on Friday, so large airport van was unavailable, and I was forced to get a taxi in order to make my flight.

did not get upgraded. Was told by man at check in that the room was best. I was very unhappy with the room that I paid EXTRA points for and was told by Starwood that it was the best room. I called to ask if there was a better room, Nora said yes and I told her above and it was my wifes birthday ; after 3hours I got a GREAT room, the one I should have gotten in the first place, was surprised that for inconvience no SORRY or DRINK

What a wonderful hotel to stay in. It was my first time in San Diego and I knew nothing of the area.. The hotel delivered everything it promised.. Comfy king sized bed (LOVE the sleeper beds!) with a balcony that overlooked the marina. It was clean, safe, quiet and just an overall good deal. The grounds are beautiful and we took a dip in the pool, relaxed in a hammock and explored the different excursions offered on the water! The staff was friendly and helpful.. Parking was easy and available and we were a quick 10 minute drive to downtown. if you need a last minute deal or place to crash for the night, this is a great option! I dont have a family, but it seemed very kid friendly with lots of games and activities - rent bikes, ping pong and air hockey tables in a game room.. but I wasn't bothered by the kids.. you can definitely have a romantic stay as well.

I have been staying at this hotel for 3 nights each month for the past 7 months. Each and every previous time, the staff was very attentive and helpful. This month, the staff absolutley was rude and unwilling to help. About 2 weeks before each stay, I called to confirm my reservations and make a couple of easy requests. This month I was told that none of my requests could be met and my room was very dirty on top of it all!!

We were there for my wifes birthday and our (40th) wedding annver. They gave sent up some strawberrys/champaige which was great. Although we were next to the ice maker and people were there all day and night, very loud!! The guests next to us were very loud and had a screaming baby and kids running up and down the halls that woke us up all through the night. Bed was not very comfortable! Other than that it was a great stay!

The room was nice but for some reason the bath tub/shower was not. I noticed that there was a ring around the tub and it appeared that it had not been cleaned in some time. When I travel, i always bring disinfecting wipes to wipe down areas such as the toilet and on this occasion, the tub. My other compliant is the fact that there was no mini refrigerator to store cold drinks and the only option is the over priced cash bar.

I went for a conference and looked forward to relaxing in a beautiful, sunny room with my view of the marina...booked it months ago. Unfortunately I got the room wth the view of the parking lot tho when I checked in I was told I'd have the view I requested. The entire lure of this hotel is obviously the marina below. The food was not good. I ate all meals there so I got to sample a variety of options. Mediocre at best.

great place, knowing not too far from downtown and right across airport. not the first choice cause they are renovating the patio for the lobby and parking area so there are quite some inconvenience. No bottled water for SPG gold platinum members though. Restaurant staff was very graceful to kids, so that is a big plus.
Had checked out and got final bill... and somehow mysterious charges appears on the credit card bill??

1.no hotel shuttle after a phone call and total of 50 minutes waiting. Had to take a taxi. Hotel did reimburse me the $10 cost.
2. security guy was entering my room when I got there to "move baggage". Obviously something was going on with the room or a mistake had been made.
3. I got a 4:30 am wake-up call from the front destk that I did not order

This Hotel is situated between two Harbors. The views from any room are magnificent. The nautical theme is carried throughout the Hotel.
The staff is attentive, the food is wonderful and the rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. The work out room is fully equipped and staffed. The Club Room Lounge has panoramic views of Coronado Island, the City of San Diego, and the two Harbors. Bravo! We can't wait to return!

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel. I like that the rooms are 33% larger than the other Sheraton linked to this site. My first two visits were excellent. This visit seems to fallen below the normal expectaitons I had for it. Our room's cleanliness was boarderline unexceptable. There was a lot of hair in the bathroom and the shower had a constant leak that dripped the entire trip. Windows were also dirty.

I had a recent stay at the Sheraton San Diego and Marina for a conference. On my way back to Georgia, I realized that I had left my conference materials and a phone cord in my room. When I landed I gave the hotel a call. I spoke with a gentleman in the lost and found department. Without any hesitation, he said that once he checked the room in which I had been staying that he would give me a call back. Within 30 minutes, I had a return call saying that my items had been found and that he would make sure that they were mailed to me. He even asked if they needed to be sent overnight mail! I said no, that regular mail delivery was ok. By the end of the week, I had my items in hand. By far the friendliest staff of any hotel that I have stayed in! Plan to come back to San Diego later in the year for a family vacation and will definitely be staying at the Sheraton Marina!!!

Location was close to everything I needed, airport, Mission Beach, Balboa Park and downtown. Hotel was elegant, quiet and comfortable. The staff was excellent and professional, best I have experienced in a long time. Lack of parking (and a dirt lot at that), no refrigerators in the room and a dirty hallway carpet were why gave it a 4 star rating rather than 5. Overall a great place and I would recommend staying there.
