Rated 4 out of 5 by excellent stay save for the "go green" program I loved this hotel, but minus one star for the misleading "go green" service. The suite was clean and spacious, the beds very comfortable, and the pool was very nice with both indoor and outdoor halves. It was a welcome respite from our long days visiting family and playing around Orlando. The fridge and microwave were nice additions, but the freezer was not cold enough, and we did not see any way to adjust the temperature. The "go green" program, as described on the door hanger, allows one to forgo "full housekeeping" in exchange for food and beverage credit or star points. It stated that linens and towels would not be replaced. After two nights of housekeeping not entering the room, and garbage and recycling bins piling up, I called to ask for housekeeping to come in. I was told a note was made for them to come. The third night upon our return, housekeeping still had not come in and the garbage continued to pile up. I called the front desk and was told I had selected the "go green", so housekeeping would not come in at all. I stated that the door hanger only mentioned towels and linens being changed, not that housekeeping would not enter the room at all. I was told someone would come in the next day. The fourth night, housekeeping came in and cleaned up. I looked more closely at the door hanger, and in very tiny print it stated that if you chose "go green" that housekeeping would not even enter the room to empty trash. I have no idea why the description of "go green" would be to forgo "FULL housekeeping" and that linens and towels would not be changed, and then in very tiny, sneaky fine print, state that you get NO housekeeping whatsoever. Why would they try to be deceitful about how the program worked with clear wording about how the program worked, and then completely contradictory fine print about the program? I looked in the hotel guide book, and there it noted clearly that "go green" was to forgo DAILY housekeeping in an effort to reduce water consumption and chemical use. If that wording had been on the door hanger, we would not have been in for the nasty surprise of the complete absence of housekeeping, feeling confused and neglected. Additionally, there should be no reason why housekeeping could not come in the room and at least empty the trash cans and tidy up. This would not negate the program's claims to reduce chemical use and water waste. Is one supposed to just let trash pile up because one does not need linens and towels changed daily, or toilets cleaned, etc.? I ended up taking the trash can out to a larger trash can near the elevators on the fourth day before housekeeping came in because with four of us eating breakfast in the room, the tiny trash cans had become a problem. This is just poor service, in my opinion, to force a guest to empty their own trash cans out in a public area used by other guests. If the wording and even the details of the program were fixed, this was otherwise an impressive hotel and wonderful stay; worthy of five stars. October 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome hotel Loved everything about this hotel! We got the 2 Queen bedroom suite and all I can say is that it's super spacious and still has that comfort we all need. This is our third stay here at the hotel and I can definitely say that there will be more in the near future! It's great for a little private getaway or for just a family vacation with the kids. The only down fall is that the sink is not in the living room area but in the bedroom. It would be nice to not have others walking in and out of the bedroom just to use the sink. And maybe a vent in the bathroom would be nice. September 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by UCF Family weekend We had a great stay! Friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, nice bar for a relaxing experience and spotless accommodations. All staff served with a smile! I would come back again and recommend this hotel for travelers on vacation or for business. September 19, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent hotel near MCO airport Location: within the vicinity of MCO airport. Shuttle pick up available but you have to call the hotel. About 20-30 minutes car ride to Universal Studio that I went to. Hotel: very warm welcome by the staff at check in, and he even apologized for not having a club lounge on the property. The lobby looks new with a bar and a restaurant. However, the hallways and rooms show some age. Food: good in general. I ordered a room service, which came on time and the quesadilla tasted fine. I also had one lunch at the restaurant and the ribs were very tasty. Recreation: there is a pool, half of which is indoor and the other half being outdoor. It's long enough so I got to swim some laps. However, one afternoon the pool was full of tree debris after a heavy thunderstorm. The hotel staff did not clean the pool until an hour passed. I wish the reaction by staff could be a little bit faster. The pool area also has a nice but small jacuzzi. Overall: decent hotel, but the lack of a club lounge and aging hallway and rooms take away one star. September 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Always a great stay This is our go-to hotel in the Orlando area for business or pleasure. Just last week, I stayed at a Renaissance Hotel near one of the theme parks. The Sheraton suites Orlando blows that hotel right out of the water at half the price. August 24, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Close to the airport The hotel is good when having an early flight but otherwise the rooms need some updating. That being said, it met my needs and if I have an early flight this will definitely be the hotel of choice. August 17, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Silly Parking Fee I'm a frequent traveler and stay at SPG properties over 100 days per year. I have stayed at this properly at lease a dozen times over the last 12 months. Look...It absurd that guests are charged for parking when they receive ZERO value for it. I've heard the really poor reasoning from staff and management why they decided to charge. You don't have a garage, covered parking, valet, gates and barely someone walking the I don't understand the value proposition. August 7, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Towels Hello, the reason I'm writing to you is to let you know how things can improve a little for all your guests regardless of their status. However, the room was clean but water was flushing by itself every 5 minutes which thousands of gallons of water were being wasted. My rest was interrupted constantly due to water noise--- I didn't get proper rest. The tv remote didn't work properly. Also, the towels were hanging just about 6 inches away from the toilet. That is a big concern given the fact that water splashed every time the toilet is activated. That placement of towels is very disturbing to say the least. The gym a little too small and can use a little more free weights. One more thing, o don't know why you guys keep charging 500 points for a Continental breakfast-specially for you loyal guests. I do like the shuttle availability and the late check out. August 6, 2016
