It's a nice hotel and a good place to stay in Tbilisi. As a Platinum member I was upgraded to Deluxe Suite without asking, nice touch. The staff was welcoming, very helpful, particularly Anna at the check-in. Despite Hotel category was recently raised, hotel badly needs renovation.
Sheraton Club lounge have no attendant at all and food choice is very limited. Little attention and staff in the lounge will do "magic". Another opportunity for improvement is that I had to ask every day to replace bed sheets and towels...something you won't expect in Sheraton. Overall it's a good choice to stay in Tbilisi.

I think that the biggest asset this hotel has it's the staff. All the people I had to deal with were very nice, attentive and responsive. The hotel needs updating as the deco, furnishings, etc., looks worn out and outdated. Also, the mattress on my bed was very uncomfortable. I don't know if in my case, I was unlucky or all the mattresses in the rooms are the same. Another positive thing about this hotel is the beautiful view overlooking the city, absolutely wonderful, especially at night.

Hotel ameneties were very good. What really made the stay so comfortable was the attitude of the staff. They were helpful, courteous and had a smile of their faces - making you feel nothing was too much trouble. Well done and thanks

It is my 5th travel to Tbilisi within 2 years, and last 3 times I've stayed in Sheraton Metechi. I believe it shows that I treat this hotel same like home.
Nice&Safe hotel. Nice People around. Great facilities.
All above makes this hotel exellent place to stay.

You can tell this hotel was a luxury hotel back in the day. What a sight the lobby must've been to visitors who came when it first opened.
Sadly, the hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment. It certainly cannot be considered a 5 star luxury hotel any longer. However, even with that said, it's not a bad hotel and the service is very good.
I was upgraded to a large suite with views overlooking the river and old town. It had a huge living room with separate bedroom. There were comfy couches and chairs to sit on (but no throw pillows). The room has a safe and ironing board.
The bathroom had a decent shower head but was otherwise old. It actually still had one of those old wall mounted hair dryers that belongs in a museum, not a five star property.
The service was fantastic. Everyone had friendly smiles to offer and made my stay as pleasant as could be.
They have a nice outdoor pool and a less nice indoor pool. There is also a hot tub (which isn't too hot) a very nice sauna and a well equipped gym.
It's a 15 min walk to the nearest metro and a 20-25 min walk to the old city. It's not terribly far - but the first restaurants/cafes are in the old city and going back and forth every day to/from lunch and dinner started to get annoying.
1- Upgraded to suite
2- Provided buffet breakfast and 500 points. Buffet breakfast was decent. Not wonderful, but good enough.
3- Offered a free 1/2 hour massage as we welcome gift along with a nice fruit plate. Nice touch!
4- Access to happy hour in the club lounge, from 6-8pm, which is nice and has a little balcony where you can watch the sunset. Sadly, the food on offer in the lounge is not good. One day they offered a cup o noodle dish. It's not staffed and they only have a few beers in the fridge. If you get there later... they are gone. They'll restock if you can find someone - but since the friendly staff comes and goes, it's hard to find them. They also closed up the food 20 minutes early one evening, even though I was sitting in the lounge (I wasn't eating it anyway, but still, taking it away 20 minutes before 8pm is bad form).
5- Given huge amounts of free water (more than I could drink, without asking).
6- Free wifi, which had to be some of the slowest wifi I've seen in years. It's 2013, time to upgrade!
Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but if I wasn't chasing points or wanting Platinum amenities, I'd stay elsewhere. If I was, I'd still have to think hard about whether to return here or go to another property closer to (or in) the old city.

I stayed at this hotel on several occasions, and never left without feeling pleased and welcomed at this hotel. Staff are excellent and polite, and always willing to go the extra step to make you feel comfortable. Hotel maybe a little old, but still is luxury and clean, and without fault.
Facilities (especially the spa and workout area) are great, but could use more variety at the restaurants for those who like to dine in-hotel once in a while.

It was a nice stay and I will always remember the view over the river and the city among the hills from the breakfast room.
