Rated 1 out of 5 by It is the worst Sheraton hotel i ever stayed in. Stinking rooms, very rude staff. No one cares attitude. The front desk was very bad. The house keeping a disaster. No shower gel in the hotel . No upgrade given. Even after taking to the manager he did not do anything. I will never stay in this hotel again. Actually i dont believe this has anything which a sheraton should hav. December 13, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed I have stayed one night in the hotel only on the 15th June, room 220 1. Aircondition in the room did not work, handyman changed the filter, but it did not really help. AC was not cooling enough 2. I have asked for additional slippers and was waiting for them to be delivered for 30 mins 3. There were no adaptor in the room, so I had to request one 4. No shower gel, just shampoo, conditioner and cream 5. On the beach when I asked to prepare a sunbed, the guy told me to find one first and then he will come and make it. 6. The beach is not clean and entrance to the sea is not really comfortable There were of course good points like music by the pool, possibility of late check out and use the facilies after, but I do not think I will come back to this hotel again. Rated 5 out of 5 by At home like I allways like to return to this hotel. They make me feel there always as I would be at home. Especially the perfect treatement of the Towers Lounge staff is remarcable. Hotel has a great open see view, unlike other hotels in the area, which have the palm Island in the view. Rooms are not large, but good quality, nicely, furnished and decorated, you will see that it is from last century. The Junior Suite is worth to go in:-) You will see on the building that it is there allready some time, maybe in the comming future some refurbishing will be appreciated. Food quality is excellent, exept the Pool bar, which is rather for drinks than for eating there. Hotel is located in a very prime location on a living JBR Walk, in a nice palm garden. Rated 4 out of 5 by Still a great hotel due to staff and garden Third time we stayed in this hotel and we will definitely return again. I agree the rooms are quite dated and can use renovation (especially the bathrooms) but this does not reflect the other public areas of the hotel as they are well kept. In my view the hotel has 3 major strong points: 1. staff: from housekeeping to the concierge to waiters, they are all very friendly and attentive. 2. the garden and beach; spacious and lush garden which is maintained very well. Nowhere else on Jumeirah do you get that 'resort' feel, other hotels are mostly mega and don't have the trees and shade. Pool is good and beach is not crowded or clustered with sunbeds. 3. the food. Breakfast is fine but the evening buffet at Palm Garden is excellent. Very, very high quality and delicious food. Small batches and always some items cooked to order. Extensive desert section which is always a treat. They have a good pastry chef. As for my last stay I was disappointed the hotel could not block two rooms next to eachother or connecting rooms for my family, especially as I reached out to them before. Only option they gave us was a buy up to a suite which we didn't took. Eitherway I will definitely return to this hotel but I hope it will stay open for long. There are not many rooms when you look at the amount of land they occupy compared to the nearby hotels so I hope they won't have to close. July 13, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by One check in person tarnished the whole Starwood experience I have not experienced such disdain from a reception check in person in a hotel chain-ever! No eye contact, no smile, no please, thank you etc and told I was wrong about my check out dates despite the written evidence that he had made a mistake....oh and as a gold card SPG member not even an offer of an upgrade. Thankfully SPG have their guest services who always call you to check if all is ok, once they heard they did put a guest manager onto it, they would do their best to get me a room upgrade, we're sincerely apologetic and asked if I liked wine-red or white! I didn't get wine but did get a basket of fruit and the promise of a room change the next day. January 7, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by will not go there again This was my second stay at the Sheraton JBR, both were unpleasant. Bad service and customer care, staff are rude Egnored my SPG benefits and level twice Old and needs renovation, I had better rooms for cheaper at the JBR The rooms are not up to expectations an Lack maintenance To be frank if was offered to stay there for free I want go, hands down one of the worst Sheraton experience I have ever had. The hotel is overpriced for what it offers and staff do not give you a sense of belonging and you are treated like sheep. This hotel does not have the personal touchs that differentiate it from any other hotel. The hotel is alos looking tired and aged. December 5, 2011

Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Service I usually stay at this hotel for business. My family stayed here on holiday and had a wonderful time. Staff in the restaurant, bars and beach were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The Christmas carol singers, mulled wine and cakes went down a storm. Well Done. I'll be back! December 28, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton review This is a nice hotel in a great position with lovely gardens/pool area/private beach area. When we arrived, feeling very tired, unfortunately we were put into rooms which did not fit the description of the rooms we had booked. The description was King size bed and sea view. The 2 rooms we booked had neither of these and we did have to create a bit of a scene before our gripes were addressed. Eventually the staff at reception did ensure that we were given suitable rooms and after the initial stress and disappointment of this we did have an enjoyable stay. June 24, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Garden and beach, but hotel does not feet to 5 star hotel standard at all.. Global comment is very poor ration: price/ versus quality. Means: price is very high for the avarage overall hotel quality. Only 3 positives points: Nice garden, good beach and good food. Hotel is Old and Rooms need to be seriously " refreshed" : very bad smeel in the rooms ( even in non smooking rooms.). Any posibility to open window and refresh air. Service is poor and not at the requested level. W've been 4 times in Dubai, so can make some comparisons with others hotels. SPA is very basic, despite of good work of the terapists. We are disappinted and will not recommand this hotel to our riends. April 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Stay Spent 10 days with the family at the hotel and had a great time. I have stayed on many occasion over the years at the hotel for business and always had a pleasant stay. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. But my expectations were surpassed on our most recent stay. Our great experience started from before our visit when Avril helped make sure that we got adjoining rooms as well as an upgrade due to my Platinum status. and during the stay when Gerry the concierge made reservations and got us cars when we needed them. Christophe, Saleem and the team at the Azure pool bar/restaurant were also great as we celebrated two birthdays when we were at the hotel. You can even order custom made birthday cakes from the Link which were great and that is saying a lot as we are from Paris! The Sheraton has been around for a while and although the rooms are not the most modern in design they are very well maintained and cleaned. It is also a great hotel for Dubai as the hotel is not as large as most beach hotels but has nice spacious grounds and so you never feel overwhelmed by the number of people at all the facilities. Even during the weekend. Also the two restaurants the Peacock and Ciao Italian make great food that sometimes it is easy to be lazy and just stay in! April 30, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tired rooms Initially I had to argue to geth the kings sized room I had booked, others in my party failed and ended up in twin rooms. The rooms could have been from any US based hotel chain, exactly the same as any I've stayed in in the US on countless occasions. Certainly not what I'd expect of a resort hotel. July 1, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by This Hotel is very noisy 1. Constant loud music most nights till Midnight. Thursday night this goes on till 2am - if you have a sea view room, you are unlikely to sleep. 2. Taxis - the hotel staff will try to put you in an un-metered taxi that will charge you 3x what you should pay. Insist on a metered taxi or walk out to the road and find one yourself. 3. When complaining, and you ask to be transfered to a manager, they will say 'he will call you back' if you ask to be transfered they will tell you the call will be charged to your room!!! 4. Rated 2 out of 5 by DISAPPOINTING I arrived at 3.20 pm my room was not ready after waiting for one hour gave up and left for a meeting. The room looked very bare and empty no slippers which are almost in every hotel. Bath towel seemed to be half the size of towels provided in other hotels. Outside staff at the door missing and if present not interested in getting you a taxi excusing themselves by saying there is a taxi crisis. With so many new hotels in dubai why would one come and stay at this JADED HOTEL OFFERING NOTHING SPECIAL EXCEPT THE SEA. December 12, 2011

Duty manager Mr. amadu served us with state of the art customer service which i have never experienced before. Staff was very good n cooperative. Faced few problems but staff fixed them very quickly and happily. Room service guy(Kumar), food serving guys in buffet specially a guy named Israr and Chefs were so professional, cooperative and helpful to their guests i will recommend every one to stay at this hotel as it will be an unforgettable experience of your life. Rated 3 out of 5 by Housekeeping must be on top of your improvement list I have just stayed at your hotel and I was a very disappointed. To begin with, the check in was average, not much information was given like breakfast location and timings, wifi, facilities,...The room was not very clean, you can feel it. I have been in many hotels around the world and I could tell when the housekeeping standard is high.There was hair everywhere in the bathtub and the overall toilet cleanliness was below standard.The breakfast choices were very poor and basic without any hygienic control:bread baskets were without tongs, and a big long hair was lying on the cheese platter on friday which was very disgusting in the morning. I ordered room service on my first night and left the soup bowl on the table. After I came back to my room the next day from the beach around 15:00, I found that only the towels were changed, the bed sheets were not and the soup bowl was still sitting on the table, and the hair was still in the bathtub obviously who ever cleaned the room didn't do his job properly and there was no supervisor checking the rooms after. I had to call to have my bed sheets changed, fix the clogged bathtub drain and clear the soup bowl. One of the housekeeping team came and I have to say that how your staff presents itself speaks volumes about the standards you set. If their hygiene and uniform are in poor condition, how can we expect the rooms to be any different? At the pool, I went to order lunch on friday, and I was really surprised to see from the small opening of the kitchen window at the bar, that your kitchen employees/chefs do not wear any gloves when handling food and were touching food with bare hands. I also ordered one bottle of water and asked for ice. The waiter came to me with a small cooler, I opened it and found many small hair inside, again very unpleasant! I am certain that it is not how you expect your hotel to be.It is too bad that such a hotel with great facilities and location is losing reputation because of housekeeping problems. Hope you'll improve your cleanliness standards and realize how important it is from the point of safety, security.I suggest you conduct regular audit on hygiene and keep staff well trained on what to look on their daily rounds.It does not matter how friendly and efficient the staff of this hotel has been, the hotel lacks basic standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Definitely the hotel has failed to meet my expectations and I may never want to return back. June 29, 2014

It is an oasis in the midst of modern buildings yet for all that reaches a high standard particularly of staff friendliness and care.I stayed with access to the club lounge facility which is excellent.The quality of the pool bar food could be improved as it is poor in comparison to offers in other hotels but it is still acceptable. Overall a good stay and I will return. March 1, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as per Sheraton Standards Hi, My present stay at this Hotel, was less than a pleasent experience. For the following reasons:- (I) I was made to wait for over 1.5 hours, after the schedule check in time, which was at 3 pm, I was given room around 4.30 pm. I had to hang around, doing nothing. (II) The room had not too fresh smell, it was smelling bad. (III) I was asked for a upgrade to sea view room, however I got was only partial sea view. Though the charges were reversed, but that is not sufficient. (iv) The request for the complimentary breakfast was not responded. That was unfortunate. Yes or no, would have been sufficent (v) The Room decor was absent, the walls were blank, did not give any nice look. (vI) The accessories provided at Bathroom was mediocre and scant andeven the towels in the bathroom were torn and had threads coming out in corners. Very Bad December 9, 2011

Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has much to offer My son and I recently had a stopover in Dubai - our first experience. The staff at the Sheraton were outstanding - in all areas. The resort facilities were excellent - and the the food delicious especially at he peacock restaurant. Only problem was we wanted to stay longer so we could enjoy and indulge in what the hotel and resort has to offer. We hope to go back soon. Aussie Mum and son. July 19, 2013
