Rated 4 out of 5 by Left behind in the new Dubai Firstly i must say that this was our fourth visit to this hotel and as one of our favourites it was extremely dissapointing to see how far its standards have dropped, At check in when i explained that it was our 4th time and hoped we would receive a " nice" room i was told that it was Walk facing. I asked for different room and even asked to upgrade to Club i was told that rooms were the same and i was on h/b package so would not benefit from it. Our room was dissapointing as very little storage was provided and the bathroom was basic to say the least. Rather than complain as i had at checkin we decided that this hotel has been left behind in the "new " Dubai.Having stayed at many hotels - we visit twice yearly - i saddens me that we have decided not to return to our favourite hotel.I also intend to replicate this comment on Trip Advisor. Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Good Experience i had an amazing experience @ the hotel when it comes to food, cleanliness,hospitality,Beach features,restaurants everything was amazing. Reception Guys are very professional & had high sense of hospitality specially Mr.Hussein Suliman who showed & reflected a very good image for your hotel My only problem was teh IT support who couldn't sort out my mobile phone issue with the WiFi so i had to pay data roaming because i couldn't activate the wifi service on my mobile March 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing location Upgraded to a suite as a platinum guest. The location of this hotel and the staff make it a great choice. The hotel itself is a bit tired, and i assume will be renovated soon. The pool and beach access and breakfast were all great. Service was excellent fast efficient. I have stayed in many SPG hotels in Dubai and because of location and price i will be staying at this hotel next year! March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is one of the amazing hotels in the world I had an excellent experience and will visit it with my family next month.I spent 80% of my time inside the hotel and did not get bored at any time. The beach is amazing and the pool side is very nice.Food is excellent as well and the most important thing in Sheraton Jumeirah is the friendly professional staff.The SPA is very clean and the fitness room is great.If you need to relax and enjoy at the same time do not hesitate to book there. Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor Platinum Treatment -- Avg Hotel Traveled in Spring with wife and 2-year-old son I checked in with our friends. I have Platinum status - they have none -- as in no status. We both booked 2 seperate basic rooms - us on cash and points and them on a paid rate of like $500 US. Separate reservations. Upon check-in I was told, 'congratulations, you have been upgraded to a Tower Ocean View Suite.' Wow, I thought, I didn't even have to ask. This came with the whole Platinum you have been upgraded key-card slip. Went up to our room. And? It was a tiny mid-floor room facing the street and construction. No suite. No partial ocean view. Nothing. I called down and expressed my concern and asked to speak to a manager. She got on and said -- 'no, you haven't been upgraded. he must have been mistaken.' I asked how the desk clerk could have made that mistake? She then said, OK we will transfer you to an ocean view room. So we were moved across the hall. Same room, better view. No suite. No upgrade...The best part? Our no-status friends were given an ocean-view room upon check-in -- a better room than us! Even though we checked in at the same moment and availability was the same...shady business at this place. I asked to speak to another manager after this and someone who said he was a manager, but whose nametag said otherwise, insisted there were no upgrades available and had no anwser why our friends got a better room than us... Bad attitude here. There are plenty of better options in Dubai. Look elsewhere. October 25, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by It is the worst Sheraton hotel i ever stayed in. Stinking rooms, very rude staff. No one cares attitude. The front desk was very bad. The house keeping a disaster. No shower gel in the hotel . No upgrade given. Even after taking to the manager he did not do anything. I will never stay in this hotel again. Actually i dont believe this has anything which a sheraton should hav. December 13, 2011

Staying in Dubai several months for a work project (completely un-related to this hotel or the travel industry), I have settled in the Sheraton for about 2 months now. Great friendly staff that will suit your needs as much as possible, great sports facilities (big gym with windows, sauna, 2 squash courts with tournaments and lessons!), big swimming pool with pool bar and most of all... the beach is just 20 meters away! Really a nice place to stay for all types of people, I am looking forward to my remaining stay. Only "minus" side: wifi internet is often unreliable in the bedrooms (but totally fine in common areas) February 26, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed I have stayed one night in the hotel only on the 15th June, room 220 1. Aircondition in the room did not work, handyman changed the filter, but it did not really help. AC was not cooling enough 2. I have asked for additional slippers and was waiting for them to be delivered for 30 mins 3. There were no adaptor in the room, so I had to request one 4. No shower gel, just shampoo, conditioner and cream 5. On the beach when I asked to prepare a sunbed, the guy told me to find one first and then he will come and make it. 6. The beach is not clean and entrance to the sea is not really comfortable There were of course good points like music by the pool, possibility of late check out and use the facilies after, but I do not think I will come back to this hotel again. Rated 2 out of 5 by will not go there again This was my second stay at the Sheraton JBR, both were unpleasant. Bad service and customer care, staff are rude Egnored my SPG benefits and level twice Old and needs renovation, I had better rooms for cheaper at the JBR The rooms are not up to expectations an Lack maintenance To be frank if was offered to stay there for free I want go, hands down one of the worst Sheraton experience I have ever had. Rated 5 out of 5 by At home like I allways like to return to this hotel. They make me feel there always as I would be at home. Especially the perfect treatement of the Towers Lounge staff is remarcable. Hotel has a great open see view, unlike other hotels in the area, which have the palm Island in the view. Rooms are not large, but good quality, nicely, furnished and decorated, you will see that it is from last century. The Junior Suite is worth to go in:-) You will see on the building that it is there allready some time, maybe in the comming future some refurbishing will be appreciated. Food quality is excellent, exept the Pool bar, which is rather for drinks than for eating there. Hotel is located in a very prime location on a living JBR Walk, in a nice palm garden. Rated 1 out of 5 by One check in person tarnished the whole Starwood experience I have not experienced such disdain from a reception check in person in a hotel chain-ever! No eye contact, no smile, no please, thank you etc and told I was wrong about my check out dates despite the written evidence that he had made a mistake....oh and as a gold card SPG member not even an offer of an upgrade. Thankfully SPG have their guest services who always call you to check if all is ok, once they heard they did put a guest manager onto it, they would do their best to get me a room upgrade, we're sincerely apologetic and asked if I liked wine-red or white! I didn't get wine but did get a basket of fruit and the promise of a room change the next day. January 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Friendly Hotel The hotel met all our needs the room we were allocated was spacious and very clean as was the whole site. We were visiting Dubai for a wedding and the staff at the hotel war able to give us all the information we needed to reach the venue on time. All members of staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. We stayed 6 nights and had a wonderful time. We particularly enjoyed eating at Ciao, the Italian restaurant where the food was superb and portions generous. The hotel grounds were lovely, and service and food from the pool bar was excellent. There is some construction going on next door which at times was a little noisy but not so bad that it was disturbing. When it's finished the hotel will be an even better place to stay. Should we go to Dubai again we would definitely go back. The only minor complaint I would have is that internet access speeds were very slow. March 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality Hotel with excellent service The Hotel is on Jumeirah Beach and has good amenities including a choice of restaurants and its own private beach. The concierge, restaurant and pool/beach staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Although this is an older and smaller Hotel than many of the new Hotels being built in the area, I would recommend it as lovely place to stay March 7, 2014

The hotel is overpriced for what it offers and staff do not give you a sense of belonging and you are treated like sheep. This hotel does not have the personal touchs that differentiate it from any other hotel. The hotel is alos looking tired and aged. December 5, 2011

Staff in the restaurant, bars and beach were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The Christmas carol singers, mulled wine and cakes went down a storm. Well Done. I'll be back! December 28, 2011

A complete breakfast buffet and good service. It was occasionally some disturbing noise from nearby building projects. March 5, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Garden and beach, but hotel does not feet to 5 star hotel standard at all.. Global comment is very poor ration: price/ versus quality. Means: price is very high for the avarage overall hotel quality. Only 3 positives points: Nice garden, good beach and good food. Hotel is Old and Rooms need to be seriously " refreshed" : very bad smeel in the rooms ( even in non smooking rooms.). Any posibility to open window and refresh air. Service is poor and not at the requested level. W've been 4 times in Dubai, so can make some comparisons with others hotels. SPA is very basic, despite of good work of the terapists. We are disappinted and will not recommand this hotel to our riends. April 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Stay Spent 10 days with the family at the hotel and had a great time. I have stayed on many occasion over the years at the hotel for business and always had a pleasant stay. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. But my expectations were surpassed on our most recent stay. Our great experience started from before our visit when Avril helped make sure that we got adjoining rooms as well as an upgrade due to my Platinum status. and during the stay when Gerry the concierge made reservations and got us cars when we needed them. Christophe, Saleem and the team at the Azure pool bar/restaurant were also great as we celebrated two birthdays when we were at the hotel. You can even order custom made birthday cakes from the Link which were great and that is saying a lot as we are from Paris! The Sheraton has been around for a while and although the rooms are not the most modern in design they are very well maintained and cleaned. It is also a great hotel for Dubai as the hotel is not as large as most beach hotels but has nice spacious grounds and so you never feel overwhelmed by the number of people at all the facilities. Even during the weekend. Also the two restaurants the Peacock and Ciao Italian make great food that sometimes it is easy to be lazy and just stay in! April 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel and Staff I have recently returned from a break at this hotel with my mum. We had a beautiful room with sea view. There is building work near the hotel on the Jumeirah walk, but you cannot hear anything inside the hotel. All the staff are fantastic especially on Reception. The complimentary Arabic coffee and dates in the lobby is a nice touch and delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone as a great base to explore Dubai. February 23, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent service Have been to this Hotel before but this time noted exceptional service from the staff, especially around the pool and beach areas. Lucky enough to have been able to use the Club facilities on the 9th floor, which also gives you a great view back along the whole of Jumeriah Beach. Good gym facilities and two squash courts also easily available throughout the day to exercise. February 23, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by This Hotel is very noisy 1. Constant loud music most nights till Midnight. Thursday night this goes on till 2am - if you have a sea view room, you are unlikely to sleep. 2. Taxis - the hotel staff will try to put you in an un-metered taxi that will charge you 3x what you should pay. Insist on a metered taxi or walk out to the road and find one yourself. 3. When complaining, and you ask to be transfered to a manager, they will say 'he will call you back' if you ask to be transfered they will tell you the call will be charged to your room!!! 4.
