While I love the SPG program overall, I am continually disappointed by the Sheraton St. Louis City Center. From continual maintenance issues to poor customer service, each week it seems like something new is amiss (and sometimes it's all). This week, the plus by the desk didn't work, which didn't allow me to charge my phone or computer, or work at the desk (no functioning light). Since I often stay here for business (one of the few Starwood hotels in policy) and need to do work at night, it puts a damper on my productiveness. I keep hoping things will improve, but it looks like I will be switching hotels.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Joanne2014 Rooms need updating badly
I was very disappointed in the rooms at this hotel. Ripped wallpaper and rug stains throughout. Very few towels even though we were a family of 3. The couch was old and sagging and also had stains. Drawers broken, lights not working.etc. When we arrived at 5pm we had to walk past piles of laundry all the way to our room. The only saving grace of this hotel is the staff who were excellent but that is not enough for us to return or recommend this hotel

Rated 1 out of 5 by MH91675 Needs major rennovation
The staff was nice and Gary was helpful. The rooms are in DIRE need of upgrades. The first two rooms I received smelled like old smoke. Very old furniture (excluding the bed) stained carpets. I've logged 43 nights at SPG + another 10 at other hotels this year and this was by far the worst accommodations. SPG - please renovate ASAP!!!
I also felt it was understaffed. Gary and another woman were the only two people at the front desk frantically trying to keep up with demand during check in (both days I was there).

Facilities are badly dated and worn. Needs some TLC. Good basic hotel for family weekend. Nothing fancy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Meg06 Customer Service Needs Help!
I often stay at this hotel as it is in policy for work and fairly convenient to my client site. However, I am continuously disappointed. This week, they did not have breakfast set up one day at the designated time and when I told the front desk, they simply responded "Oh"., As a frequent traveler (I stay over 150 nights / year at hotels), I would expect better customer service and at least an attempt to make the situation right. I also had a slow-draining sink. While I have often reported such problems, they are rarely/never fixed. I love the overall Starwood program and I want this hotel to live up to my expectations. Unfortunately, it continues to fall short. Better customer service training, improved offerings in the club lounge, and fixing maintenance issues would be a great place to start.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TookOneForTheTeam Dirty & needs updating
We would never stay here again unless some serious updating & cleaning is done. We paid way too much for the quality of this hotel. It was dirty & stains everywhere. I didn't walk anywhere in the room without my flip-flops on. If we hadn't been in town for a Cardinals game then we would have changed hotels & driven in each day. DISGUSTING HOTEL!!!

This hotel offers all the amenities you would expect from a Sheraton, however the decor is older and worn overall.

Sad to say this hotel did not live up to our expectations. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked every time someone moved and the person/people next door were noisy and smoked. Not a restful night...
