I was definitely impressed with the facility itself and the check in was fast and friendly. Very comfortable and clean rooms. We stayed on the Club Floor (19) and around 2:30 am we had a couple who apparently were not getting along so they slammed their room door constantly from someone storming in and out. The woman was sitting in the hall right outside our door crying and talking to someone on the phone, security finally came up just after 3am and the situation was quieted for about 30 to 40 minutes and then started up all over again. I finally called Guest Relations right before 5 a.m. and explain that this has been going on since 2:30 AM and the young lady made it seem as if I was bothering her reporting it. She told me that they knew about the situation and they were getting it handled and I explained to her that security had already been up once before and we were not able to sleep. I know this was an isolated incident and we were happy with our accommodations but I felt that the situation could have been handled a lot better and a whole lot sooner. Had it not been for the situation on my floor and I actually got some sleep I'm sure this is normally a great place to stay.

This was our second stay in a year and it was very nice. The staff is kind and helpful. The food we had at our event was delicious!! So was the buffet Sunday morning. We enjoyed the atmosphere at the bar as well.
Our room was clean and comfortable. Very enjoyable visit.

We needed a place to stay as we passed through town on our way back from MN to TX. It was NYE 2015 and I was worried that the people coming back to their rooms after midnight could pose a problem. The hotel is constructed very well and we didn't hear a thing. Staff is super friendly and the Club Lounge is very well appointed.

I want to start by saying that as platinum member I have stayed at this property in the past and it never has been like this. This was an all time low for the front of the house staff at the Sheraton Overland Park. The problems started when I made a reservation at the Sheraton Overland Park using a free Sheraton weekend award (a non point redemption) that I had earned a few weeks prior to my visit. When checking in at the hotel I was greeted by an unresponsive and indifferent women at the front desk who said they had no record of the free night redemption and that I was being charged for the room. I explained and offered to show her that the free night was removed from my SPG account and it showed the free night award at the property. She said I needed to contact SPG. I was handed my room key and dismissed. After 40+ min on hold with SPG I was told by SPG that they had been in contact with the hotel and it has been resolved - the free night was being honored by the hotel as it was booked. Just to verify that everything was in order and to see if a Fed Ex had arrived under my name, I stopped by the front desk once again. The same women who first checked me in confirmed that the free weekend was being applied. When I inquired about my package, she without even checking the package log, insisted I provide a tracking number. After providing a number she confirmed that it arrived. Since I was now late for a lunch meeting, I requested the package be brought to me in the restaurant where I would be dinning and where I needed the item inside the box. I also requested that a cab be ordered as I had an early morning flight The same front desk employee confirmed that they would bring the package to the 1906 restaurant then wrote down a phone number for the cab company and handed me the card with the number. After a two hour lunch and no package delivered, I returned to the front desk for the status of the package. The small package was still sitting on behind the desk and I was asked to sign a $10 delivery charge for a package that was listed on the form as 10-20 pounds. After explaining that had the package been brought to me as requested I would not have problem paying for the delivery as well as a tip, although the package weighed 3 lbs and the charge should only be $5 as stated on the delivery form. Now finally to my room where I tried to order a taxi with the number provided. Come to find out and the number didn't work because the number provided by the front desk was incorrect- wrong area code. Unfortunately my Sheraton OP experience didn't end. The club lounge ran out of eggs for breakfast and after checking out and returning home, I checked my SPG account I found that in addition the free weekend night, an additional 7,000 points had been removed from my account by the Sheraton Overland Park - Without my permission. Back to phone with SPG and more time wasted trying to get things resolved and fixed. Wow, what a mess and not the way guest should be treated.

Starting at 10:30 pm there was a noise in my room that kept going on and on and was not letting me go to sleep, then I called the guest services who sent a engineer to take a look at it but he couldn't fix it so I had to change my room in the middle of the night because of that I had to do all packing as well, which was very discomforting.
When I was checking out no one at the check in counter acknowledged or was aware of the fact that I faced this issue during my stay.

The staff at the hotel were exceptional. We had a minor emergency in the room of a family member and the front desk and maintenance staff were very responsive. The problem was solved quickly. Even the bell/valet staff went beyond our expectations. The facilities and location were great as well.

My son was married and had the reception at the convention center this weekend. I reserved 4 rooms: 1 for me and my husband, 1 for my 2 other sons, 1 for my sister and one for my parents.
My parents got to their room, the air was not working so they moved to a different room. The key card was not working well to open the door, they had maintenance come look at it, determined that the lock was broke. When my parents went back to the room at 11pm the lock was still broke when the issue was discovered at 5pm. So they had to wait 20-30 minutes for someone to get them into their room.
I got an email at midnight 7/17 stating that my 17 year old sons account was overdrawn. I had my credit card on file for their room already (had the personal read the notes) instead they accepted a debit card from a 17 year old! So I called right away and asked them to get his card off file. Yes, maam, I will. On Sunday 7/19, still holding money on his account and mine also...now it is 7/21 and still holding money on both accounts!!! Not acceptable!
I had bariatric surgery on June 3rd. I have a card from my surgeon that states that I should be allowed children's price do to the fact I can only eat 3 oz of food at a meal. I showed it to our server and he asked the manager if I could pay kids buffet price and he said, "NO". Guess what, I didn't eat with my 16 family members that were eating! Rediculous.
The only thing that was the saving grace in this whole thing was that the wedding was a success at the convention center. Thank you to the wedding coordinators!

My first time in Kansas and at Naka-Kon, tho I didn't get the room I had original booked, I was super glad with the hostility they gave me by offering something else and free Wifi.
The free beverage and snack while waiting in line was superb, I traveled from a looong way LOL (stayed at friends in KS)
I cant wait to return in 2016!

I've stayed at the Sheraton in Overland Park countless times for business over the last 13+ years. It is ALWAYS my preferred hotel, and always a great place to stay. The Staff is very friendly and attentive and the property is very well maintained.

I travel to the area twice a year on business and the hotel is great. From Jamie and the others at the valet to the desk staff and everyone else, they make you feel appreciated. I may not stay at Sheraton Hotels often, but never stay anywhere else in Overland Park.

I was in town for business and stayed at this hotel for two nights. The staff was very polite and gracious. The room was very clean, and the bed extremely comfortable! The hotel restaurant has a variety of items to choose from, and the breakfast (which was included in my rate) was delicious! I would recommend staying at this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and as always, it was up to my expectations. It is an ideal property for meetings and conferences as well as having a full range of amenities post business. This hotel recognizes Starwood members through upgrades and other benefits. The club lounge is always well run at breakfast and in the evening with fresh food. I was impressed with the variety of offerings over my numerous stays. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a location for any type of stay, but the business traveler will definitely enjoy.

If you like a hotel where everyone is friendly and caring this is your spot. I usually stay at 4-5 Star hotels, but the service I get here is better than when I stay at Resort or Vegas High end. Club lounge is great quality food and always hot. Valet guys are more helpful, patient, trustworthy than I've ever experienced. Everyone there is always willing to make sure you have a great stay. I stay about 70 nights a year in hotels. This is by far top 2 I stay in and is the cheapest of all of them.

This hotel has a great business center and the decorations are beautiful and very elegant in style. It has a great indoor pool.
It is accessible to the freeway, shopping area, and barbeque restaurants.
It is very close to the convention center and convenient if you have a conference to attend..

There were four women staying in the room and we had to request more towels on a regular basis. The toilet was stopped up and even though he janitorial staff remedied the situation, the bowl was left in a very dirty condition for more than one day. There were not enough rooms at the conference rate so we paid full charge for luxury accommodations that were not very luxurious.

The hotel was not ready for our stay. Room were not ready for arrival . Some people waited six hours for thier room . My room was not cleaned on Saturday. I never received the free wifi I was supposed to or the 5.00 coupon . The lines for restaurant and coffee were endless the staff were really stressed out. The hotel is beautiful and I'm sure the staff are great but for what ever reason the hotel was not staffed properly for my visit

Nice hotel, decent room. Did not like that there was no refrigerator, not family friendly in that aspect. No free wi-fi. We had to call down to the service desk once and ask for silverware, the lady was not helpful and told us we needed to go and get it ourselves by the dining area. Sad thing is we would have tipped. Overall it's okay...expensive so it didn't meet those expectations.

This was the best - staying right next to where the Convention Center is located. I was able to attend my classes by just walking across the breezeway. Enjoyed having my sisters join me and treat them to delicious food at the restaurant.

1) The rooms are in need of an update. They are nice, comfortable and well maintained - and a little dated.
2) Upon check in, if I tell you I want to participate in the 'Green' program, why do you insist on placing those cards under my door every night, that I then have to turn in and again ask for the points?

This is an overpriced inconvenient accommodation. Our annual state convention is held in different places each year. The rooms and food here were just average, simple amenities were either non-existent or minimal. There is a charge for Internet service. Sheraton's argument is that all the accommodations in this area charge for Internet service. Which is why I think this is a location I will not stay in again. There are plenty of other locales that provide this amenity without charge - that are of higher quality. This location is in the midst of heavy congested traffic. There is nothing to make this worth coming back to.

The room was to small and the dark carpet made it feel dirty! Didn,t like the elevator situation! Had to take one elevator to the lobby then change and take another to your room! Didn,t like that there were no free breakfast!
