Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect place for relaxation This hotel is located quite secluded from the town area and hence it is a perfect place for relaxation. We used the hotel airport transfer service and it took about 35 minutes from Krabi International Airport to the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, we are greeted by the friendly staff and we are ushered to the front office for check in. As we booked the premium sea facing room, we are ushered to the club lounge for check in. Check in process was pretty fast & smooth and we enjoyed the complimentary beverages provided in the club lounge while we were waiting for our rooms to be assigned. The hotel buggy took us to the block where our rooms are located. The room was spacious and I think the room was renovated recently – as it looks pretty new. We have no issue with the air-conditioning and hot water during our 3 days 2 nights stay. The hotel has a very huge land bank, and you can comfortably walked around the hotel ground as there are proper walkway and it was even well lighted at night. There are 2 pools in the hotel and the beach is located quite near to the pool. The beach is quite clean and there is plenty of sun deck near the beach. We dined at the hotel restaurant during our stay. Though a lot of traveler feels that the price in the hotel restaurants is quite high, we feel that the pricing is quite reasonable (compared with hotel food pricing). Malati served authentic Thai – Indian cuisine. Food is great and service was fast & prompt. Gecko’s is the hotel Italian restaurant and I must recommend their traditional wood oven pizza. We also dined at Mangosteen restaurant and the price is quite reasonable. There is a 7-11 convenience store located outside the hotel and also a row of shops selling souvenirs, massage & spa services. There are a few café & restaurant located outside the hotel so there are plenty of options if you choose not to dine at the hotel restaurant. Everywhere you go in the hotel vicinity, the staff will greet you with a smile and the buggy services will shuttle you from your room to the hotel grounds – though we prefer to walk around. Checking out was pretty fast & the elite SPG recognition is good. The hotel management will change over to Dusit Thani management effective 1 July 2015. Overall, it is a pleasant & relaxing stay for us. May 20, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fabulous until checkout I have been to this hotel twice now and have enjoyed it immensely. Sadly, this time it was the transfer system that left me feeling less than happy. The drivers to and from Ao Nang will doubtless kill a few people in a car wreck one day they drive so fast and carelessly. But the real downer was this: the day before check out I asked for a copy of the bill which had everything in it except the transfer for the last day which I asked the desk clerk to add before I paid the bill. I was more than a little surprised when phoned from the desk 8.45 pm to be informed that the outgoing airport transfer was not on the bill. It was yesterday! So, I had to walk all the way from G block to the desk to be told that unfortunately someone had removed that charge. So my advice is forget the hotel transfer system - hire a car or get a cab. This ruined an otherwise fabulous stay. May 7, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect stay and relaxation Had a perfect stay, met or exceeded all or expectations, very nice room, clean everywhere in the Hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, even the Manager is always around to take care of all and to help in case of problems or questions. Food in the Restaurant Malati (we didn't try the others) was overwhelming and delicious, prices surprisingly low for inside a Hotel. There are also lots of small Restaurants next to the Hotel which are very good. As well as the massage just across the street. Hotel offers priceworthy shuttle to different destinations, e.g. Ao Nang or you can take a driver just in front of the Hotel is, they were very good and reliable. If you want to shop it's just 15 Minutes by car to Ao Nang, where you can also enjoy nightlife if wanted. April 12, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location This hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the othe resorts but a short ride and you are in the thick of it. The facilities are great and staff are very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the room, it was a bit tired and dirty. There was mould in the bathroom and the floors looked grubby. I wonder if this is because of the going green incentive? However it was a great place to stay. A visit to the restaurant Sandwich Me just outside the resort is a must! February 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hello guests The surprise started when we entered the open air lobby: a tremendous view thru the hotel (botanical) garden opened over the Andaman Sea. The smell of the different flowers and herbs, the singing birds, watching Geckos transferred us into another world. We spent 9 wonderful days enjoying everything from watersports, excursion tours and excellent food. And never ever there was any staff member not friendly greeting and smiling and really making us feel welcome. One of my best Sheraton experiences! (P.S: Strangely enough I had to rewrite the review because I used the usual Thai greeting in the title...; this will be my last trial to do it) January 28, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible resort with absolutely no SPG recognition Staff is SOOOO slow with absolute no responsiveness over crowded and old resort Avoid January 4, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Old resort, unresponsive staff, with absolutely no SPG recognition The title says it all. There is absolutely no SPG recognition at this hotel. The first room that I was supposed to be in (which I paid close to 500 euros per night) was just so bad that I had to upgrade myself (old room, far from lobby, not sea facing unless you brought your own binoculars with you). - I had to pay for my upgrade close to 100 USD, which shows how much they care for SPG Gold members.... - They didn't offer any SPG benefits (extra points per night....). - Staff takes at least 3 calls before room service (either setting up bed, or bringing towels). Overall a bad experience, go to Phuket or Naka Island if you want to stay loyal to Starwoods in the region, but avoid this place. January 2, 2015
