Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Hospitality We visited SGN in April, then decided to go on the Mekong River Cruise so we opted to stay at the Sheraton again. We are senior leisure travelers, who enjoy touring, shopping and eating, but need a comfortable, clean and safe hotel. Sheraton Saigon met all our expectations and more. The staff is welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location is great, close to shopping areas, historical spots and many excellent restaurants. The breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor has a lavish spread and the Mojo Café provides refreshing drinks and snacks as you watch all the activity on Dong Khoi. Both the standard and tower rooms are comfortable with more luxury and amenities in the tower with an awesome club lounge. Our flight departure was very late but we were accommodated with a late check out and permitted to wait in the lounge after checking out. After 2 stays here, I highly recommend this hotel. Rated 3 out of 5 by Saigon, very busy hotel. I was not recognized as a SPG Platinum member during check-in. When I reminded the clerk she mentioned that all of the Executive floor level rooms were full and offered me an upgrade if I was willing to pay another $100USD/night. I ended up on the lowest floor with a smile and an apology. Other than that my stay was as expected. November 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent I don't have many 5 star reviews, but this Sheraton really stood out. The staff not only recognized me as a platinum member but they recognized me as a regular customer at the hotel - I stay there 3 - 4 times a year. I remember back in Nov. I booked the wrong dates and arrived at the hotel, they were completely sold out, but the manager came out and told me she'd do what she can to take care of me. She came back out 15 minutes later and said that she worked something out and took care of my reservation. Staff is attentive and helpful, their English can be better but be thankful that they're speaking English in Vietnam. Overall a very good hotel in a convenient location. March 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great SPG property in Saigon! I stayed here twice over the past week, and this is a great hotel in Saigon. Taxi fare to the hotel from the airport is approximately 140,000VND. On my first stay, I saw that I was pre-upgraded to an Executive Suite. Upon checking my reservation a few hours prior to checking in, I saw I was downgraded to a Club Studio room (they must have given away my room to a guest that checked in earlier), which is pretty much an oversized junior suite. When checking in, I saw on my registration form that I was booked in an Executive Suite. When asked about my room actually given, I was told that my Club Studio was just as good as an Executive Suite. Uhh, right…but my room was fairly spacious and had a kitchenette with a stove, microwave, dishes, and eating utensils. Was given a Club Studio on my second stay, even though Executive Suites were available. Three years ago, I stayed in the Towers. I believe the only difference between my room in the main hotel and the Tower rooms, is that the main rooms are your standard Sheraton style room, while the Towers rooms are more modern. The executive lounge in the Towers is light years better than the standard lounge, which only serves drinks and snacks from 5pm-7:30pm. The standard lounge doesn’t serve afternoon tea or snacks, but soft drinks are available throughout the day. They served sushi, various appetizers, dessert, and two hot selections (fried spring rolls, and fried shrimp). The gym is spacious, has lots of machines aerobic machines and weights. As a platinum, you can eat breakfast in the Executive Lounge, or in Café Saigon, in addition to your 500 point amenity. The restaurant downstairs has a very impressive spread. Everything from beef rendang to ice cream. Eat in the restaurant; it’s a no brainer. As a bonus, the food is slightly different every day. As a side note, there’s a small casino on the first floor of the hotel. It’s mostly slot machines, Blackjack (US$20 minimum bet), roulette, and baccarat. No craps. Darn! May 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Saigon Birthday Getaway I had pre arranged a surprise birthday cake for my wife prior to our arrival. When we checked in, the front desk asked me (with my wife beside me) if I had arranged for a SURPRISE birthday cake!!! Haha I wonder if she understands the meaning of a suprise. I was even disgruntled with the answer of the butler when I called to share my comment. She is asking me if what does I want her to do with regards to what I had shared with her. Nevertheless, our stay was great and enjoyable, the food was appetizing and sumptuous, staffs are friendly and helpful. June 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than any other Sheraton I've stayed The staffs are very professional. Room is new and clean, The buffet is fantastic. Even though the price is comparable to the US, but I think it's a little too high for Vietnam, Over all, it is a fantastic hotel. December 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stay at Sheraton Saigon I have been a SPG member for maybe 20 years. I stayed on a Club floor. And you wanted to charge for wi-fi in the room. Simply unacceptable. Almost no half decent hotels charge for wi-fi anymore, and many other hotels in the SPG stable do not charge for in- room wi-fi. No good saying it is free in the lobby. Makes you look like just another struggling establishment. Perceptions are everything and your lack of marketing ability leaves a bad taste. December 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Breakfast Buffet! OVERALL IMPRESSION: High-end hotel located in central Saigon. Great front desk staff as well as in all of the restaurants. I stayed at this hotel while on vacation with a friend, and I highly recommend this property. SPG RECOGNITION: Fantastic! Was upgraded to a suite with a large, separate living room, bedroom and two bathrooms. THE ROOM: Loved having two separate bathrooms in our room—made getting ready for the day or a night out in Saigon much easier! Great touches through the room—including fresh orchids. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: Breakfast buffet was spectacular. The single best buffet I’ve every experienced in all of my travels throughout Asia and around the world. I’d recommend this property for the breakfast buffet alone! Also, the rooftop bar was a great place to unwind while having drinks and talk about the adventures of the day. DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS: None. January 5, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel have old fittings When I check in the staff was helpful as I request for a higher floor room. After some checking she check me into a room which is not a SPG prefers room floor. I have request for a late check out on my check out time and she told me the hotel is full and she could only extend my check to 2pm which told her I am okay with it. On reaching the room I found the carpet and fitting to be old. The chest drawers will not stay close and I my legs run into it a few time during the night as I was walking to the toilet. On the first night I saw a few insert clawing up and down the walls. Not sure if it is the same one. I can't identify it as it run off as I get closer to have a look. On check out another issue as the late check out was not indicated on the computer and they want to change me a half day fees. It was not a nice and easy check out. and it took more time to check out then to check in. On the whole I did not really enjoy my stay there. Thank October 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The hotel staff are excellent We have stayed at the Sheraton towers every single time we visit Vietnam. Would not consider any other hotel when in Saigon. The staff are attentive, friendly and looked after all our needs, especially helpful as we were travelling with a 3 year old and 9 month old. Thank you October 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Hotel with great location Have been stay in this hotel for couple of times and its never failed me. Got a few times get an upgrade to suite room with kitchen which is very nice. Buffet breakfast is good and should try the "Pho" (Vietnamese Style Noodle) when you are there. September 11, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hotel in the center The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. It is close to shopping centers and restaurants. As Spg gold member, we received an upgrade to a large and nice rooms with great views over the city. December 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exemplary Hospitality A hotel which addresses you by name- remembers you well. Provides unstated facilities... I think this is indeed the best hotel I have stayed ever All the best Cheers! Gurucharan May 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by They know my name better than my boss Staff are very keen on remembering names. I stayed for 4d3n and I had a great time with them. Breakfast, happy hour, etc, staff are very kind and give their best effort to help me. May 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by This Hotel has great features Excellent and attentive saff. Great accommodations and workout facilities. Superb airport pick-up and drop off service via hotel limousine. Always prefer to stay at this Sheraton hotel. They also helped me purchase a plane ticket from HCM to Hanoi and booked my stay at the Hanoi Sheraton including airport pick-up! November 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Recent Trip I have stayed at many hotels in Ho Chi Minh and this has been the best one. Great service, clean rooms, and great food. Will stay here on my next business trip. May 21, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor SPG Service Manager Vu has absolutely no manners towards guests and his attitude has made me and my business partners feel veryunconformtable during my short stay. December 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Business Trip Great Hotel . Staff was amazing . November 20, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great experience slightly ruined by housekeeping procedures This hotel has generally been awesome but the entire experience was somehow marred by housekeeping disrupting our afternoon nap with a phone call after taking a very long walking tour since all morning and half the afternoon. I understand that the hotel has housekeeping procedures but we clearly had our "Do Not Disturb" sign on and had already told housekeeping outside our room that we did not require any service on that day. All the phone call did was disrupt our nap and hence our plans to get rested enough before heading out in the evening. All that Guest Services could do was apologize which does little to compensate for our best laid plans getting shot. The housekeeping staff on the floor have been great and so has the front desk staff as well as the club lounge staff. Shame about this. October 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by You're always welcome at Sheraton Saigon I have stayed at the Sheraton Saigon many times now because the service quality is high. I am always made to feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble when any staff member is asked to help November 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful River view Room I stayed at Grand Tower Studio with river view and view-bath. Room space had 55 square meter and it was enough for me. I got relaxed very much while taking bath. Grand Tower Club lounge at the 5th floor had many kinds of foods morning and evening and beverage including sparkling wine evening. I enjoyed them. Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff A plus, plus I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. The hotel is nice and the staff has always been superb. My stay in November 2012 they went above and beyond anything I could have expected. I arrived in the afternoon after a flight from S. China. Somewhere between China and Vietnam I must have contracted food poisoning. Over the next 2 days, the staff checked up on me constantly, sent soup and tea to my room numerous times (no charge), and even offered to take me to the hospital/doctor. My issue passed and I was able to resume my business, but I am beyond grateful to the team at this Sheraton for their caring. November 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent service and stay I stayed here at the Sheraton Saigon Towers from 1/4-1/8 and had a magnificent experience. From the great view from the 23rd floor of the Grand Tower to impeccable service from the staff to the yummy lounge food (I ate pho every morning and night). I could not ask for more. Sure it was a little pricier for the Grand Tower room/service but well worth the value -- I highly recommend. On my second night here, they even delivered a scrumptious chocolate cake to my room as it was my guest's birthday without my asking. Just excellent service which has left a wonderful impression on me. Thanks Sheraton Saigon! January 15, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Platinum member non-recognition Guest Services Manager, Mr. Vu Hu has ruined my trip to Saigon with my family before it even started. His staff provided me with information that my room would have a pull out couch, but with 5 days left to start my vacation, he called to inform me that there are no pull out couches in the hotel and that I will need to pay $50/day to rent a roll away. He would not waive this fee despite the error on his behalf. On top of that, he indicated that my 4 and 6 year old children will also be charged $12.50 each per day for staying at the hotel to apparently cover Club room access charges. I completely agree that this hotel is stingy and does not recognize Platinum status of their valued guests. December 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by No better places to stay than Sheraton Kudos to the Sheraton IT team! I stayed for 5 days in the Suites Tower and the room wifi did not work with my Iphone. Mr. Kiet and his team had provided an excellent services to make sure my wifi works. Also kudos to the cook and services team in the lounge (fifth floor). Their attentive to the guests needs are superb. Thanks the cook and the It again. January 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hotel for Leisure and Business This is not the first time that I have stayed at this hotel. I would have to say that it is equal to some of the best Sheraton's in the world. Service and Check-in were excellent. The hotel and staff both recognised that this was not the first time at this property. The Club Floor Rooms are excellent, they are large with all the amenites that makes you feel like you are in a home away from home. The Executive Club is the best. Pretty much only staying in Club rooms and making use of the Club Lounge in each location, this is by far the best in the region. Service, food quality and beverage selection can not be faulted. When returning to Saigon in the future, this is the only place that I will stay. May 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent As a regular guest in your hotel, I would like to express my special gratitude to Miss Chau and Miss Tram from the club lounge Grand Tower. They were utmost helpfull to solve my problem. See you again October 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good and Responsive Staff Services The hotel is in a convenient and nice location with plenty of things to explore around and also in terms of food. Most importantly the stay is pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable with the prompt, warm and responsive service provided by the hotel staff. Everyone from the bell boy, security, front desk, cleaner, cafe staff and the lounge staff. The front desk given me a very warm welcome and detail explanation of the benefits I get. The lounge staff recommend me good choice for dinner and even make a reservation for me. My second stay here and it always impressed me with the top cleanness and conditions of the room and bathrooms. The Pho Ga and the black/white sesame bread at the Cafe Breakfast was delicious and excellent. August 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Heart felt service We have just stayed at your hotel for our holiday and spent a lot of time in the Club lounge. We would like to commend the staff who were serving us in the lounge during our stay who had a smile on their face at all times and attended to our every need. In particular, we would like to thank one staff, Mai, who was one of the most genuine and most pleasant staff that we have come across when staying with your group. We hope to be able to return for another stay at your hotel and would like to thank the staff in the club lounge for making our stay such an enjoyable one. September 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exellent stay, small hiccup not spoil I had 2 excellent stays here. The room is super spacious, bed extremely comfortable, even though my 7 months old baby also enjoyed the bed :-). Food are excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Staffs are helpful and polite. Whatever you need for a stay, they are there. I love the water system in the bath room. Just so much enjoyed it. A small suggestion, hotel maybe should provide the comb in the room, not upon request. I think every one needs a comb. Everything was pleasure until check out. But the taxi driver had spoiled our last minute til flight. May 4, 2013
