Rated 4 out of 5 by Happy212 Vietnam Airlines employee rooms
Arriving from Canada, after a 30 hours trip, had to wait more than 1 hour in the lobby without even being offered a glass of water.
It takes 15 minutes to get a room clean, but in my case, I had to wait longer for a second grade room reserved for Vietnam Airlines employees such as room for disabled, or rooms at the very end of the corridor etc etc It seems there are "prime rooms", and not so prime rooms.
The staff did not consider my fatigue or need to get a shower and sleep but the requirement to provide me ONLY with a certain kind of room for Vietnam Airlines employees.
I can understand and accept the fact this hotel has "special" rooms.
But In this case, I would have appreciated to get a room quicker, any room, just as soon as practicable.
Also would have appreciated being offered a glass of water while waiting, and also would have liked the staff not to totally forget about me, having to return to the front desk 2 or 3 times to finally get a room.
That being said the staff is usually very nice, polite and pleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Roger91 Generally a great hotel in Hanoi
Not too far from the airport, just a 300,000VND taxi drive. But I think the hotel can provide the shuttle bus service from the airport (the luxury car service is really expansive). The staff here are really friendly and nice. The location is also good, just beside the west lake. The breakfast is good but there is just some coffee and soft drink (only carbonated beverages) in club lounge out of cocktail time. There seems to be no staff for swimming pool, and it's not so convenient for new guests.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cung Excellent Staff
As always I am very impressed with the service quality of the staff, especially the Butler Team at the Club Lounge: Ms Hang, Linh, Thuy, My Anh, Dung, Tra and trainees. I feel they have a personal touch that made me feel very welcome whenever I stayed at this hotel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WallaceHK Considerate arrangement - Vietnam Hanoi Sheraton
I travel to Hanoi frequently and most of my stays are in Sheraton. It is quite impressive this time. Staff arranged same room as last time. And all settings remain the same as last time, for example, last time, i requested for an additional electrical extension cord. And this time, it has been placed in room before i come.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JayJaySt A Decent Hotel in Hanoi
Arrived in December 2016, stayed for 1 night and had a nice stay. The hotel located by the side of the lake, had a nice view, nice location. Eventhough i wasn't upgraded, but it was nice overall.
The breakfast was pretty decent, the staff were helpful and quite attentive, recommended me to a very nice restaurant accross the lake called Don's Tay Ho, was a great recommendation. Very nice food.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ChitownSpgFan Did not have good experience with this hotel
The hotel is far from Old Quarter in Hanoi.
One of those older Sheratons. Although the lobby seemed nice and spacious, the rooms and bathrooms were a bit dated.
The front desk staff at the time of check-in was very cranky (or even rude). I booked two rooms since I was traveling with my family. She gave me two ooms that were connected to another rooms ( but both rooms were not connected to each other). Crazy, right?
On top of that, she didn't give me the rooms on the Starwood preferred guest floor. It was our last night in Hanoi. So, I didn't complain.
Anyhow, I didn't have a good experience with this hotel and will not stay here again.
