Stayed couple time in this property before, last one was Jan 20-21, 2014 for transit. I had the same experience like YvessMM posted Feb 4,2014. I requested any available suite upgrade available for platinum member? The front desk said none. I tried again for different room, any corner rooms available please? Zero. Ended staying in 3rd floor, which was not even SPG floors. I didn't even bother to complain again because I just stayed here for transit but it showing poor SPG recognition and treatment for elite members.
So for all SPG elite members specially Platinum, please don't bother to request any upgrade, The front desk staff will have all the answers to say no to you.

This is truly my first review as a 8 year Platinum member, But I feel I must post this. I live in PA. Fly out of BWI for the price and convenience. I have yet to stay here and not have several issues with the service and room. It really is such a disappointment. I can give you multiple, multiple reasons but I will keep this short. You will never get anything, even a bottle of water or snack from the lounge after 9:30 pm or a consistent room. So you better check in before 7 ..Management tends to be rude, errogant and un-accommodating in which I am really disappointed in you all. STARWOOD, Please step in here.

Hotel did not treat guest like a Platinum member. Didn't even credit the stay/points to Starwood account although reservation was made through Platinum Concierge.

I booked the club level. The breakfast ran out of hot food by 8:30AM
There were dead and live ladybugs in my room.
The front door did not latch without being tugged or pushed hard.
The internet access was intermittent.
I completed a comment card and hand delivered it to the front desk upon check-out requesting to be contacted. No one has contacted me.
I expected better from spg.
I really cannot recommend this hotel.

change of management as told to me by front desk Rhonda. denied club access and plumbing and hvac problems in rooms. front desk states change of management, I state not for the better. too many hotels at this location to have an attitude.

Wow...looks are decieving as this looks like a decent hotel. Front desk staff was good but down hill from there.
First..where can you plug in at the desk for Club level rooms? Only visible plug was being used for lamp and Fridge. I had to crawl under the desk to plug in my pc and phone.
Next...at 3:19AM the fridge decide to go crazy with th motor clanking away with awful noise!
Club has sub par food for rates they charge. Very disappointing.

I would highly recommend the Sheraton. All the employees were very courteous and willing to help in any way. The meals were very good. It was very convenient since we were flying out of BWI. The shuttle was very convenient and the gentleman that took us to the airport and picked us up was genuine, helping us load and unload our luggage. We would highly recommend the Sheraton to anyone. We will be back!

The Sheraton BWI is very convenient for travelers and the price is very competitive for the area. The hotel is clean and welcoming. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating.
As a platinum member I was upgraded and had a lovely welcome amenity waiting for me. The club lounge is nice and has the basic necessities. I appreciated that there were granola bars available 24-7.
The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was clean as well. I appreciated that there was a shower w/out bathtub in the room.
The shuttle runs on request 24-7 to/from the airport and was reliable.
I would stay at this hotel again.
