Arrived on a Friday afternoon to enjoy a few days in Old San Juan before our cruise. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. We had a back side balcony and the room was clean. My family and I specifically stayed at this property to tour around the old city before our cruise departure on that Sunday and it was definitely the right choice for us. All historic attractions are within walking distance along with shopping and restaurants. Walking outside on Saturday evening was a treat as there were many vendors and a festival like atmosphere. My family and I felt safe as there are police everywhere day and night. Sunday check out was at 11am and the hotel stored our luggage for a few hours before we boarded the cruise ship, no charge at all. I'll definitely stay at this property again when I cruise out of San Juan, hopefully next year.

We were able to check in an hour early which was great after the 3 hour trip from Vieques. The rooms are not over the top but they had everything we needed. We had a very nice view of the bay, the best are the world's most comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful (Especially the Concierge Michelle and Bellman Luiz Diaz), the shower water pressure was incredible, room service was fast and tasty, and the hotel was SO close to everything we wanted to do. Many reviewers mention the size of the pool, which is small (with amazing views), but there is so much to see in Old San Juan I didn't even care! If I'm ever back in San Juan I will definitely stay here again no question.

This room is under the free weight area of the GYM which is open 24 hours a day. At 4am guests began working out and dropping very heavy weights on the floor/my ceiling. The hotel (Javier the night supervisor) told me they would close the gym for a few hours so I could sleep. At 5 am I realized he lied as it sounded like boulders were crashing on my head.
They offered to change my room in the middle of the night at this point but I had to be up soon anyway. If you need sleep (like most humans) do not stay here. The management lies and the hotel staff makes very little attempt to remedy bad situations. It's a shame becuase the hotel is really beautiful.

Hotel staff had no customer service capabilities!!! My wife and I "reserved" a refiridgerator due to a medical need. None were available at check-in, first come first serve regardless of reservation or medical need!!! It took 36 hours to get one!!! Staff failed to mention that a pile driver would be working outside of our ocean view room at 7 AM. We were left with no towels in the bathroon...it took 1/2 a day to get towels delivered to our room. No one on staff really cared.
I would urge anyone thinking of staying here to rethink. I'm rethinking Sheraton in general, clearly they have lost control of this facilty!!!

That's who we remember about the hotel. He was extremely service oriented, he went beyond the scope of his job to take card of us and our stay there by being friendly, helpful, informative and educational. The concierge was more interested in sitting at her desk reading a book. Best of all, whoever is his boss lets Luis shine and he does so above all the other Bellman there. This man supersedes and out shines all those next to him. We've never written about a specific person at a hotel, never, but when an employee shines like he does, he truly deserves to be recognized and that I hope he is!

Absolutely best hotel to stay in if you are going to San Juan. Located in Old San Juan it is the only name-brand chain there. Hotel was clean, employees were friendly, room was perfect and the casino was nice. We ate in both the dining room and the Chicago Burger restaurant located in the hotel. Food was great in both.

The hotel was fine: well located and clean. It does show its age in terms of decor and fixtures, but well maintained and all the standard features you expect at a Sheraton.
My biggest problem was the lack of passion from the staff. Front desk was not welcoming, just going through their motions. Bellman was standing at his podium needing me to ask him for assistance. Housekeeping only moved the cart when I couldn't fully go by in the hallway.
The upgrade as an SPG Platinum member was very nice in terms of a suite with a view, but no other recognition. Not even a bottle of water offered.
